Gracias nuevamente!
The best kung fu master I have ever known and one of the best man who I have ever known in the world although I have couldnt met him but I heard many about him. Thank you Yip Man for the amazing martial art, thank you for all of your words. Rest In Peace!
I saw and appreciated and respected elders from whom I learned something I saw The movie (story) of Ip Man God rest him in peace Greetings from Romania a real life lesson
Thanks for this pictorial tribute. I am a Bak Mei student (over 35 years) and I have great respect to master like him from the bottom of my heart. He was one of the last great masters in that generation. Never will we see someone like that again.
Excellent compilation, it was humbling to even watch. It never ceases to amaze me that despite how frail he looked, he nonetheless had the ability to so incredibly effective. I especially liked the sequence of pictures showing him defending against an attacker. He just looked so rooted and serene. That image is an inspiration for my training. Thanks for posting this vid.
R.I.P Grandmaster IP, you taught the true meaning of Martial arts “Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.” And he did...
Awesome video! I recently became intersted in the stories that suround this martial artist's life and find this a very good video with pictures I have not yet seen. Great Job!
Hola. Mi mas sentido respeto para el gran maestro Yip Man. Ha sido inspiracion por años. Cuesta hallar documentales de el. Hay muy poco video. Gracias por compartir esta presentacion
i have been a fan for years of chinese kung fu but never learned not 1 once of it i wish i had im 41 told old now but my love for the art grows each day LOVE ALL GRANDMASTER OF THE ART
It was his sifu, but the one who really taught Bruce Lee, Wing Chun, was Wong Shun Leung's most fighting disciple of Yip Man. ua-cam.com/video/GYm3hq1oD2w/v-deo.html
Great video, should have been some video of him to :/ Anyways, great master and a great fighter no mater what MMA people and/or idiots might say. Can you post who made this music? (like, artist) And again, great collection of photos. Best I've seen so far
I have always wanted to learn 'true wing tsun' that represents what Grandmaster IP MAN left behind for all to love and learn. Because of my studies i never found time, i am only 19! I am going to study at university but now i know is the time for me to begin my journey in learning wing tsun, the one IP MAN left for us all to learn and i hope i can find a true school to teach me all the values Grandmaster Ip taught...
A fitting tribute to a great man with an apt soundtrack. He was a gift to us. If it were not for him and a select few, wing chun may not have had as big a following! 再見親愛的高段棋手。 在T'ien願您被提升。
mmm... i don't know, there's no many photos in high resolution, but there's a lot of photos in differents web sites, or in google images. i have found many pics in the ving tsun archive site.
Thank you very much for this posting. I'm from Brasil and big fan of martial arts and Yip man. I just to want to know if he was able to reunited with his wife and son after scaped to Hong Kong. Please let me know.
i know now why brucc lee had been so good like that ..because yip man or ip man whatever people prefer to call him taught to brucc lee a great wing chun the best wing chun on the whole world...
Some rumors said that he was addicted to opium when he was younger but quit it when he was older. Not too sure about that, but if he quit smoking that would've improved his kung fu a lot more. Respect for the Great Grand Master.
Yip Man taught the old fashioned way, making students learn only Sil Lim Tao for 3 years, and then Chum Kiu and Biu Jee similarly after many years of waiting. Nowadays people can learn up to butterfly knives and pole and start teaching a franchise. Bruce Lee only managed to learn Sil Lim Tao and Chi Sao from Yip Man directly. Bruce did not know butterfly knives or pole form or Chum Kiu form. He learned indirectly from classmates the wooden dummy form and Biu Jee, but was not authorized.
OMG, at 5.00 Yip Man, Bruce Lee and Freddie Mercury's voice together, it's just too much heavenly epicness for anyone. Three eternal emperors of their respective realms.
lee as in bruce lee? he was actually one of this masters.. copy paste this to your search engine (including the quotation mark) "Bruce Lee began training in Wing Chun at age 13 under the famous Wing Chun master Yip Man in the summer of 1954."
@shazam7000 Just wanted to re-iterate what everyone else is saying here, you're not too old! There's guys at my club (ip man linage) whom are 40-50+ who are learning now So, give it a go!
i luv the video and nuff respect but i would also like to see more about the woman that invented it? and also is master ip the greatest? is that why he gets the most fame? i would really like to know ,thanks

Yip Man was indeed a legend, but he smoked. I can see why Bruce Lee was very respected; it was the influence of the one and only Yip Man. It was a shame that the Grandmaster of Wing Chun had to die.
he always put his foot to his knee everytime he sit cool
i love you yip man! u are my HERO and he looks so kind in his pictures..
R.I.P

It is an african textile looking design. Probably a gift given to Bruce by Kareem abdul Jabbar.
Grandmaster Yip is the greatest of all that even Jackie Chan and Jet Li don't want none with him.
U r right...they r nothing compare grandmaster yip man

the music is from the movie "Dragon, the bruce lee story" and was made by the composer and orchestra director Randy Edelman.

I would love to get the collection of photos in high-res digital form. Has anyone made the collection available?
is the beginning song the theme from the Bruce Lee life story movie?
@voiceofexpression I think he faced Bruce after he taught him. He was hurt from the battle of a japanese gun shot. His arm was damaged wasn't it?
Todo Mestre merece todo respeito..
@BlueDragonWings8888 I think he is talking about the movie
Some rumors said that he was addicted to opium when he was younger but quit it when he was older. Not too sure about that, but if he quit smoking that would've improved his kung fu a lot more. Respect for the Great Grand Master.
I honestly think that Bruce Lee can easily man handle any UFC/MMA fighter, if he were to fight them while in his prime.
love the soundtrack at the beginning anyone know what its called?? Im sure its off the Dragon (Bruce Lee Story) movie
What is the difference between Wing Chun and Ving Tsun? or is it EXACTLY the same?
can someone please tell me abit about it
Same meaning..translation problem..like colour and color for e.g
