Wow, very similar to the indigenous mud houses my family would have. They’re also called “adobe” houses in mexico😊 so cool to see how people from Africa have mud houses too! Indigenous people are so talented from everywhere. So many different designs and architectures, just so beautiful and detailed. It’s so important to upload videos like this to show how we were all advanced in different and similar ways. We had so much knowledge, art, and history that they took from us. From a Indigenous Mexican/Native American, I’m giving all my love and support to Indigenous Africans and black people. Spread your knowledge and culture wide, the world needs to hear more from us. We’re so smart and creative. Be forever proud of your culture. We need western education to teach OUR science.

Mud houses are cooler in hot season. They are always dry because they absorb moisture in the atmosphere. But, these walls cannot be exposed to direct rain. We may improve the design and construction for those in rain forest areas.

This mudbrick technology is chic, traditional, cultural, and should be expanded upon!.❤️✊🏾😁💯

    Those images are absolutlely beautiful!
That is real architecture.. the adaptation of natural resources and materials to be used for shelter in a harmonic and aesthetic manner..
Dont fall into "modern" antienvironmental materials.. specially if you dont need them.
Keep the tradition going, if you lose the knowledge, all this beautiful forms, engineering and architecture will be lost too.
Adobe houses are still used today.. have been reinvented and enhanced in south america (as an example of traditional construction).
This "mud" houses look fabulous.. and I bet are fresher and more durable than houses with modern materials (cardboard, plastic, and toxic paint)..

I hope I can inspire one or two people or more to go back to seeking indigenous knowledge. I have been trying to connect with other channels that actually do different types of traditional building and my hope is in the future we can record a video on a step-by-step process of starting to build your indigenous African home, and how one can potentially make upgrades. It takes a lot of research but I am hopeful I will have more information soon.

Have you noticed in a lot of the futuristic movies that the people live in mud houses and not modern style houses? It seems that our ancestors figured it out thousands of years ago that mud was the perfect building material. Even the oldest building on earth is made of of mud and straw (the step pyramid of Djoser). What amazes me about mud construction is that it’s bulletproof, sound resistant, cooler than the outside temperature and it’s economical. It puzzles me why African nations follow behind westerners when we have such highly innovative construction methods that work perfectly with our environment. I was amazed by the strength of termite mounds and how they keep the temperature inside at 86 degrees even if it’s over 100 degrees outside and the structure is entirely made of mud clay. Also it’s so affordable that everyone can have a home and no one will be homeless. These building methods need to be introduced in grade school for our children so they will have mastered it by adulthood. Hopefully these governments will see the light and reintroduce these ancient building methods to end homelessness. Imagine integrating modern technology like lights and plumbing with some modern materials to make a environmentally sustainable eco home, the skies the limit.

Until We (Afrikans) return to Our Traditional Ways, in all things, (Cultural, Political/Governance, Spirituality, Socialization, Architecture, Science and Arts) We will always have the frame of mind to think like Our Traditional and Historical enemies (euraisans), even the languages We speak teaches Us to communicate in the ways of Our enemy. From Our enemies names and foods We eat works against Our best interests. Just think about it, We are just about the only People who does this. We have to return to the source of Our Ancestors Traditional Cultural and Spiritual Systems.

Since there is such a small amount of videos on the subject here on UA-cam I have decided to watch all of your videos. At least this video compilation had a slightly wider range of designs.
Did you make any videos on the pros and cons of the various designs, maybe based on the regions that they are located in?
Do you have any links to any other further field work that you yourself have conducted, maybe in relation to your architectural studies?
I couldn’t quite tell from these videos if you were just an enthusiast, or a student in a related field of study , or if you were a professional in the field of architecture.
