Current Decklist Update as of 07/10: digimoncard.app/deckbuilder/user/ofgz3VnaOSM7tAOlyON0yTu16dS2/deck/e0c3ff9e-8a3c-43b5-90ce-88ca9643380d - added Togemogu to help against magna (it kinda only works if they don't know what it does lol) - added pomumon to try and slow down imperial
Something i saw a while back while looking at decklist was some madman playing 2 copies of bt3 gargomon, only to make it a 0 cost from terrier X, im currently running that and the st henry and has worked wonders, it helps set up the lvl 5 rapid almost as if it were an armor one and in my opinion makes it a little more consistent, the +1 mem from henry and the treat of a megagargo ace is pretty good value imo
@@LinkDeHablaHispana that's an interesting variation. Cheap evos is a green staple so it's something to test out! I love megagargo but the amount of times I swing into SEC with it and die has changed me as a man 😂
This is a great in depth guide! One of my favorite decks atm. Since EX6 came out I’ve added cherubi Ace for the dp reduction specifically for magna X and one etemon to force the swing.
I use to think EX2 Henry wasn’t strong until I realized if you have one (or two) Rapid X you’re really getting a lot of benefit and control. One Rapid X and one MegaGargo ACE with ST7 inherit can do a lot since it’s a better piercing. MegaGargo swings security, Henry suspends, MegaGargo restands and beats over the suspended because of Rapid X reduction, you gain two memory and trash a card. Also, if you wanted to go niche, Henry makes EX2 Rapid so very reliable.
I'll give this a try! The idea of swinging over a body with Megagargo trashing SEC + getting piercing is pretty cool. My only concern will always be how unsafe it feels 😂 I'll prob be playing the deck a ton in this new format so I'm excited to test more stuff with it. My only contention against Henry tamer package is that you're in much deeper trouble when your stack gets outed. Usually with Willis + Mimi I can rapid fire them out.
@@JohnRoseTCGI agree! My luck is terrible with security. I do play two EX2 Henry, though, and can say he’s gotten me out of some situations. EX2 Terriermon (I play four) makes surviving easier since it would see that Henry suspend giving you the 2K boost. I’ve slowly realized there’s a lot of “hidden” synergies between the lines. I also play T.K. and Izzy. Starting turns with five or seven after the three memory setter is nuts. That extra -1K or -2K comes in handy as well. That’s just my spicy tech though. Haha.
I love the video man, and your list looks really similar to the list I had been working on, however I decided to go to 4 Willis and 1 mem setter. Have you tried BT16 Togemogumon instead of ST Gargomon as the 2nd lv.4? It's an Armor Form blocker that strips the top evo source when your opponent swings, so it can rip the Magna from under Magna X which prevents them from proccing their effect to unsuspend and gain their protection. I also saw a player in Spain won with a list that ran 17(!) rookies, no Lopmon and 3 Calumon. He also cut the Lv.5 Rapidmon down to 2, and only ran 4 Double Typhoon, no boost or training. I can link you this list if you wanna take a look at it. I tried it out and it might be the truth, it draws pure 🔥.
@@ryanmccaffery8149 only draw back with Toge is that it will cost 3 every time unless you have a training. BUT, that does sound like it could work super well into a lot of matchups not just Magna. I'll give it a try! And that list sounds super interesting, please share it when you can!
100%! Emperor could be worth playing at like a 2 count. My only point of contention is you'd have to drop it like turn 1 against something like Nume. Because hypothetically if they have the Ukko into Ukko start it may be a little too late to drop Emperor since the damage will have been done. One thing in favor of it though is the fact that it helps against Vaccine as well, Patamon will finally have to pay for evos (in a roundabout way lol)
@@PhoenixPlayer404 def something to consider playing. However I feel like your removal is mostly your monster effects. Anything that heavens would clear you could theoretically clear with Rapid into Rapid X. Granted, if your locals has a lot more Tyrant or decks with immunity I could see adding a couple copies in.
Rapid into rapid x is 9k at best across three bodies which is great but i like either using rapid to supplement HJ when i dont have an X or when i do have X and they stablized then i drop hj and it kills by minus dp so i gain 2 mem, i just feel -6k three times maybe four if youre lucky is great, plus its a great sec hit, but like you said thats not the best to hope for
@@PhoenixPlayer404 totally understand you, my perspective is that anything that heavens clears rapidX can clear (usually) through the eff + running it over. I LOVE the trashing eff of the lvl 5 rapidmon so I try to pull that off as often as possible. BUT, HJ is def a card worth including as a removal option in place of giant missile!

Please do more of this. I haven't seen anyone do this type of information. Im subscribed
Appreciate the love! I will try my best to release more content like this for the decks that I love playing! :)
Digimon defo needs this deep dives on competitive plays. More articles, primers and videos like this. Kudos and I will subscribe for more
