Replacing The Yard Cart Tires With Cheap Mower Turf Tires And Polishing The Plastic Up
Вставка

- With all the rain we are having a problem loosing traction and getting stuck in the mud with my wife's cart. This is about changing to a set of turf tires that have helped keep it moving. Also polishing up the windshield and body with Novus plastic polish.

Cart looks great. I bet the wife loves all the upgrades.
She will love them if she doesn't get stuck in the mud again. Thanks for watching.
I do love just listening to your voice so calming thanks I wish I knew your name been a viewer for about a year now
Ed. Thanks for watching.
Nice to meet you Ed. I'm looking forward to seeing your garden soon you inspired me to plant a couple of tomatoes in pots on my patio.😀 Anthony
Did this several times on the hotel’s golf carts! That’s when you decide 2 extra arms and hands would be useful!
Thanks for the video!
Rod
Those little guys are surprisingly tough to install. Thanks for watching.
Looks good and know you'll have a good ride when it isn't flooded in your yard. Thanks for sharing.
Can't wait for the rain to stop. Thanks for watching.
Moms got herself a sweet ride. I bet you had a wonderful supper waiting for you.
Hopefully no more pulling her out of the mud. I got stuck cooking on the grill that night. Thanks for watching.
I was tired just watching you change those tires and I’m only 47 ! You got a lot of moxie. As always enjoy hearing from you great video. Thanks for taking the time to video, edit and post
Thanks. Those tiny tires are definitely harder then large tires to change. Thanks for watching.
great job on the cart happy wife-happy life
She sure wasn't happy when she came looking for me to pull her out with muddy feet. Thanks for watching.
Wow - what a job! Hope the upgrade proves worth the effort. The treads look like they're improvement as well.
They made a big difference. The tires it came with just spun when it hit mud and even wet grass gave them problems. These have just enough thread to keep it moving in light mud and even made it handle better on wet grass. The true test is if she can get it stuck again. Thanks for watching.
Great video. I used to use a golf cart for work. We opted for two part flange wheel rims which two halfs bolted together which made tire change easier
That would make it an easy job. Thanks for watching.
That looked like quite the wrassle! I can hear my hubby dropping the F-bomb doing that job. I know to stay away if he does, he doesn't swear much. LOL. The polish did a nice job, I'll tell Bill about it for his Harley windshield. Thanks for sharing. No more muddy feet...good.
It's funny how little things can be harder to assemble. I used the Novus 1 on my Harley windshield for years to remove bugs and It works good. The #2 works good for fine scratches and swirls. Happy Mothers Day. Thanks for watching.
Looks great! Mom got new tires and a wax job for mothers day!! Hope the wife made some pastry's while you were fighting with those tires. This weather is crazy with all the rain and now today some area's are getting snow showers. Keep the wood stove going for a bit longer. Awesome video Thank You!!
She made some nice blueberry muffins. I still can't walk in the garden, it is all mud. It has been a crazy spring and my poor tomatoes are getting really big. We had the heat on all day today. Thanks for watching.
I knew you’d overcome the obstacles, you’re very creative. One trick I’ve learned to break the bead is lay the tire on its side and take a vehicle heavy enough and ride over the sidewall and it pops immediately, you just need someone with you to line it up easier. Always interesting doings on this channel.
There is no way to drive on one of these tiny tires. The machine works great if there is not wood piled where the handle needs to go. These little tires are a real big pain to change. Hopefully she won't get stuck in the mud again. Thanks for watching.
I really like your videos. Your 10min project turned into 2 hrs! Lol! 🤣 I can relate 🙂 🕊
Somehow that always happens. Keep thinking I am still 21 when I estimate. Thanks for watching.
Nice improvement!
Thanks for watching.
How's she goin'? Those new tires seem to be a lot better. You sure worked hard getting them on though eh!!! Great job!!! Take care!!
Those little ones sure are tough to get on. Thanks for watching.
Nice harbor freight floor jack..!!
That has been a great Jack. Thanks for watching.
Good job Ed. Of course I thought you'd lose your Fruit of the Looms fighting with the tires. I would have lost my patience.
I should try to get Fruit of the Loom as a sponsor with all the exposure that I give them. Thanks for watching.
Just what I was looking for. Ordered 2 of those same size tires for a zero turn rear, and thought I might try 2 on the rear of my golf cart, which will get stuck in a heartbeat. I think I'll go get the harbor freight mini changer, which I think is a little easier on those sizes. Nice vid and voiceovers
These have been great tires. They have not lost any pressure since I installed them. Thanks for watching.
I really like your videos! Just watched the video of you visiting Sodus Point.. Not far from me.. Phoenix NY, Just north of Syracuse... Small world!!
We usually head over that way to the state fair every year. UA-cam definitely makes the world seem small. Thanks for watching.
A mod i've done to one of these (similar but the European variant) is on the top screw mount you put to hold the rim in place, i lobbed off the ear and welded a lever similar to the normal one. Really helps when putting tires on that have high ply or just plain stiffer compounds.
There is a slot to use the bar but your idea is better. These little tires sure are tough to mount. Thanks for watching.
One of the best lubricants for tires I have found is Go-Jo hand cleaner cream. It is very slippery and allows the tire to slip right off and on the rim. When finished it wipes right off and cleans your hands at the same time. :-)
I will have to try that. Thanks for watching.
Next time, use some vice grips on the rim to prevent the tire from walking around the rim while installing it.
I will try that if I ever do it again. Thanks for watching.
U need to use vise grips to hold the bead so u can work ur way around
I will try that next time. Thanks for watching.
Now you can put the nitrous kit on the cart!!
Electric and nitrous don't go well together. My wife likes it just the way it is so this is it. Goes right through the mud now. Thanks for watching.
That as a tough cookie... Actually, four of them.
And I thought they would be a piece of cake. Thanks for watching.
😂😂😂
all that land tells me that you could have taken those tires to be mounted somewhere for 10 bucks each. would be worth it
I guess you don't pay taxes in NY 😬. Thanks for watching.
Do you treat your mower deck so grass doesn't stick? If so what do you use i have not had good luck with kitchen sprays such as pam and other nonstick sprays. I have resigned to a yearly cleaning and repaint to slow the rusting! Any Thoughts Thanks
No, just scrape and watch it rust. I tried some coatings when new but they were a waste of money. Thanks for watching.
How have these tires held up on your golf cart?
Fantastic. Still haven't had to add any air. Too bad they no longer sell the same ones. Thanks for watching.
Another great video can you tell me the model of the HF impact gun. Thanks Bill
It is the 1/2 inch earthquake aluminum model. I think the current ones are slightly different. It's about 12 years old and has worked great. Use the 3/8 high flow couplers on all air tools for best performance. Thanks for watching.
I saw the same helicopters, we must be neighbors lol. How do you like that jack?
There were several groups of 4 that went by that afternoon. I have been using the Jack for almost 2 years now with no problems. It's definitely overkill for a cart. It seems like a well made Jack. Thanks for watching.
You said the new tires increased the circumference compared to the old tires??
Don't forget to re-calibrate the *speedometer* !!
(kidding) ;-)
I was surprised. They both were supposed to be 18 inches. I will recalibrate her foot. Thanks for watching.
soon you're gonna add a supped up electric motor in it ;P
The way she drives it that's not necessary. Thanks for watching.
No need to run that much air... and they will leave less ruts and have more traction with a little less air. Try about 2/3's or 3/4 of max as a start...
Like I said you have to inflate to max pressure to make sure they seal properly then back them off some. 18 psi seems to work best in them. Thanks for watching.
Your link to the tires no longer works.
I guess they no longer sell them. To bad they are great tires and still haven't needed a y additional air. Thanks for watching.
