    That was the only national park in Utah I didnt hit during my recent tour. The National Parks are amazing.

    Great hike and WoW that sure was a good shower 🤣🤪 I remember standing at the Gooseneck Overlook and looking down in the canyon quite a impressive place and being down there must of been quite a trill .
    So now you have to ask a special permission from the park to upload your footage on UA-cam …this is getting crazy ! 🥴

      Thank you, my friend! Yes, another new law was passed (crazy indeed! - total government over-reach imho). Filming is fine, but not posting to social media. After requesting permission, they let me post it if I didn't monetize the video.

    In the late 1970's when I lived in Richfield (No Walmart then), I went up the creek to that 2nd waterfall. No one was on the trail then That Pinnacle at the 3:08 is called the Motorman and UT 24 went by it before the road was reconfigured in 1962. My grandfather called it "Mr. Pinkerton." AS I have mentioned before my material family is from the Torrey/Grover area. I grew up in CT. Capitol Reef is my favorite for many reasons.

    Ended up keeping the hat! Looking sharp! You can tell no one has contacts in (like me) who go under that waterfall. We can never do that as the water pressure would take those from right out of the front of your eyes! Let me know if you ever need any waterproof dry bag backpacks for your trip!     Only been to Bryce. The rest of Utah is very high on our list. Also, unlike most people, I will go in water all day. Usually cools me off. Especially when it's beating down on you haha. This looked like a wonderful hike.

      Yeah, Capitol Reef is one of the Mighty 5 in Utah, but the least visited of the five. Highly recommended!

    Wish I would have had more time to see this park when we went back in 2016. Utah as a whole demands return visits with all there is to see and do.that looked like a great hike. Of course...you had to try out that cold water. I have a return trip planned for New Mexico in the fall of 24 with some buddies I'm really looking forward to. Be out of commission sometime this fall for surgery so no fall trip this year.

      Yeah, a lot of people pass on this one. I did on my first two trips as well. Maybe they find it tough to arrange the transportation.

    6:04 is a beautiful tree. Shoutout to 'Hardest Worker In The Room' for dropping off the car at the end and hoping to get a ride back. Trying to get the ride back is a stressful thing to do.

      Yes, the reviews for visitors are often mixed on this one. Still, it's the least visited, but it does have some incredible gems if you know where to look.

    Was disappointed there was a flood watch when I was there so the slot canyons were a No Go. Wanted to do this one so bad.

    Hi Randy, great video. Sulphur Creek looks like Capital Reef's version of Zion 's Virgin river. Interesting that you posted that your video has been approved by the Park Service as a non-monetized video. I am wondering what other UA-camrs will be doing with their national park videos.

      Yes, incredible snowfalls out West this past winter. Yet apart from some limited places, most of the water levels were ankle depth when we visited in May.

      @@AmericasParks I was in Alaska until a few years back and this winter up here in northern Utah reminded me of being back there in terms of how deep the snow got.
      And then it all melted.

    Ok, now I found that scary when you said you didn't know how you were going to continue on, but y'all were too far into the hike and you were going to have to find a way to make it happen. I'd start feeling real panic. 😮

      Yeah, those were some serious drop offs (at least for me). Thankfully there were some alternative routes, but you had to find them,

    How are you able to film in the national parks? Do you guys have to buy a permit every time you film? We wanted to film as well but we’re told if we wanted to post a UA-cam video, we had to buy a $300 permit.
