Super UA-cam videos you do produce. It‘s fun to watch, especially when living so far from all these nice Salmon Rivers in Scotland. Wondering which classic reel (the black one) you have tackled up in this video. Tight-lines sending you from Switzerland, Steve

Looks like some lovely water on lower fairburn it's a struggle to get on though. Have wanted to fish there for a while now. Looks like you have had a lot better season than me. Hopefully I'll get one last day on the tweed to try and salvage it somewhat.

Aye not easy to get on but can be great fishing except this year :) Good luck if you go on Tweed.

@@nairnfly I'll have to try and get onto it next year somehow. Will know this week if I'm getting on the tweed or not.

Great video, your a real experienced Salmon Angler but many watching Nairnfly will be appalled by the way you drag these precious fish up the shingle and stones and do not seem to carry a NET.
This way of landing fish is not practiced further South in our Rivers or in any catch and release fishery now for all fish welfare, its just plain laziness not to Net fish safely and keep them in the water it stops them losing scales and their protective coating as loss of scales encourages viruses and infection to set in and they can perish before spawning, Anglers who badly handle fish especially lifting Salmon by the tail can break vertebra in the fish causing internal bleeding.

Thank you, for some of the footage on this video i didnt have a net with me to land the fish so beaching was the only option, normally i never go salmon fishing without a net. I return 100% of salmon i catch i do however keep the odd seatrout if you dont see the fish being returned in my video then it is because i kept it.

Dont get why you land fish on the stones

How about you buy a net and stop letting your fish flop around on the stones. Just a friendly suggestion.

Unfortunately i didnt have my net with me so beaching was only option in this case. Normally i always have a net with me.
