Some cracking fish and some beautiful rivers you fished this spring. The Nairn fish I think was the pick and on a light switch rod too 🎣👏. It does make me wince every time I see you having loops of loose line at the end of the fight, dicing with danger but if it works for you! Well done again, and tight lines for the rest of the season 👏😊🎣👍
Thanks Andrew yes the Nairn fish put up a good scrap. Few other people commented about the line but it works for me i feel i have more control. Tight lines for 2024 🎣🎣👍👍
Wonderful video showing the very best of Spring Salmon fishing, congratulations and well done David!! That Nairn fish was a really stunning fight and fish!
Thank you very much, has been a better year this than last but timing is key with the water. Yeah camera comes out great underwater especially in the sun.
That was a cracking watch, the Findhorn is my favourite river. Cant wait to get back up for a few days. Well done and long may the success keep coming.
Gonna have to inbox you for some tips and tricks. Been to Scotland but didn’t get lucky with salmon. Will try to catch my first salmon this year in the highlands.
Lovely fish, back in the 70's as a kid I would grab my rod, a pin,a few prawn and go and get a couple for the dinner table. As an adult I fish the fly for pelagics but haven't bothered for Salmon in years. Might get back into it next year, still fish for sea trout in the salt occasionally as I prefer the taste to salmon. Cracking day you had there considering how low the numbers are these days. 👍🐟🏴
Just saw you on the Nairn, I have had hundreds of fish out of the Holme Rose beat in the years i lived on it. Some over 20lb but never a 30 plus. Lord Campbell "Gordon" gave me personal permission to fish his stretch. Never ever caught as many as Gordon Rennie, he was exceptional in the effort put in R.I.P.👍🏴
Hi Jason thanks i dont wait until i see catches coming in, i go when i think conditions are favourable some times it works out but others it doesn't. Tight lines for you this season maybe catchup on Findhorn.
The river conon is Lower fairburn check out Fairburn website. The findhorn is Forres angling association and Nairn can both be found on Fishpal. For the Glass there are a few beats i dont have all the contact details as booked through a friend. Tight lines for 2025 !!
Iiiiii iiiiii your river and land look 👀 as same as parts of Newfoundland Canada 🇨🇦. The salmon been go down in # last 15 years . We own can fish from early morning to 10 am because our river are low and the water temperature is very very warm for playing with salmon . We are own to keep two grills up to 23 cm long . 😊 great video 😊
@leonardryan8723 thats, very interesting to hear they look similar. There are catch an release regulations on a lot of our rivers. Fortunately in Scotland we dont really get high temperatures infact this uear has been one of yhe coolest summers on record. Glad you enjoyed the video.👍
I don't know about Newfoundland and how much it costs a day too fish those rivers. Ghillies are making good content on yt fishing private beats in Scotland and making it look easy.
Hi, how do you get to the right bank at Red Craig's, are you allowed to drive through the caravan park? Obviously once you've got the Forres Angling permi
I feel sorry for you young lads the Salmon good old days are gone and I believe will never return. Too many preditors, pollution and disease ridden fish farms. Wild Salmon will be virtually non existent.😢😢😢
You would think that the salmon farming industry would engage with the environmental groups to provide sustainable support to fish breeding programs in rivers
Why is it we sit back and watch the fish farms devastating our water ways England Ireland Scotland and wales implemented catch and return a good thing but they only caught a small number of fish in the whole scene of things. And numbers are still dropping it’s time the organisations that be stood up and were counted Ban fish farm crap 👍

Stunning bars of silver
Superb Davie
Cheers Chris i thought your dad was going to get blown away 🤣
It’s so sad that most rivers in the North coast and East coast are either closed or suffering from the saprogelia virus. Well done on this catch.
Thank you
Hello, congratulations for your video. I want to know which rod you use and which line. Thank you. Greetings from Patagonia, Argentina.
Great to hear from you :) The rod is a Loop Z1 14ft #9, and the line is a gaelforce integrated shooting head #9.
