No doubt, hooky is not that skilled, he is one dimensional, but he is an innovator that makes the bass guitar the front and center of the music and not just to go with the flow. He knows how to make and play beautiful music, which makes him the best!

With Andy Rourke, Geordie Walker, and Karl Wallinger no longer with us in recent times, I'm glad Hooky is going strong.
I wouldn’t be a bass player if it weren’t for him. His playing had, and still has, such a huge impact on me more than any other bassist.
