I am so far away from these phenomenal women. This is my event, so I'm hoping to one day be withing 10 seconds of these ladies. This truly is one of the hardest events in the sport, and I'm always blown away when watching.

I'm joining my middle school's swim team and I've never swam using a technique and I'm super nervous. Any advice?

Lane 4 seems to be the lucky lane...lol, so far I've seen swimmers in the 4th lane in the lead

Laura Standley usually the fastest swimmers are in the middle two lanes and the slower swimmers on the outside lanes, that’s why you usually see 1st place go to the 4th or 5th lane, doesn’t happen all the time though
