why cant i select from all units. thats so lame. i do like the historic/real world builds but I'd like to have a commando squad in my unit and it won't let me even do that.
Hah, I tottaly missed the APC selection when I made a deck. All good, the deck needs editing anyway, as I found some deffinate holes in it, to the shock of no one with a first try deck on day one of release. Cheers for the info.
In WARNO specifically command units capture points and also give bonuses to units within a certain range around them. In this case they give them an additional rank so trained become veteran and veterans become elite. Though only while in range of the command unit. They are also an easy target so should be protected where possible and only command tanks should be near the front line where possible and certainly not used to engage.
I found 1 mistake, i could sell the blackhawk with 2 mashineguns even it was under attack and fighting back. I didnt try the bradley but jeep blackhawk are possible
Thats interesting, need to let Eugen know about that as I assume its a mistake that it can be sold. Well spotted. Credit should not come back till it 'leaves' the map, not sure if damage affects return value need to test that.
Also, why do they still have the same units repeated next to each other when they can probably add drop downs to pick different ammunition or load outs. Sure that technically changes the variant and designation. But they already have a drop down for transports. Just add that for artillery, planes, infantry, etc to select the load out. I don’t need two ATACMS next to each other, one HE, one cluster. It’s one unit. Then let me pick the ammunition. Same with some aircraft load outs. Give the aircraft and let us pick the munitions available for it.
I guess a couple of reasons, firstly the tab would be very empty if they did that haha. The other issues would be making it clear how much availability there is of each loadout type, it would still have to say this somewhere and make it clear. The same with the cost of the units as this would change depending on loadout.
I mean he isn't wrong? When he played it, it was unplayable, blame the game not him. He is the reason how I even learned about this game, and now I love it
Bah. Humbug. Definitely hate the division thing. Wish they would give players the freedom to make their own divisions like in wargame red dragon. I don’t know why they insist on doing that. Let me pick big daddy USA, and pick the units I want in my army. Sure limit them, make worse units more viable. But don’t give me 50+ divisions like in Steel Division where I pull my hair out trying to figure out which ones I even want to play. And they full well know that nobody is going to play all of them. Let me make my own divisions!
They probably do it like this for balance if you play as nations such as Russia or USA you will have access to a lot more stuff and options than let’s say a country like Afghanistan but if u break it down to divisions u have strengths and weakness so that you can’t have divisions that are all purpose
