im guessing its just too busy for them to do that
@@ramonandrajo6348 i'll send you money to buy it if you promise to stop spamming.
I miss the the hazy look of Splatoon 1 and the bloom as well as the little particles in the air in inkopolis square
Also the returning maps are kinda disappointing
I loved the idea of hammerhead bridge having more of an arena-like design
So it “finishing construction” is disappointing
The grates really added some new strategies which other Splatoon maps really lack
Splatoon maps are too open for my liking
I love a lot of the game not just hating on it but I def got problems
@@ramonandrajo6348 I dunno about that but I’m not too fond of the art style change or the changes to maps like hammerhead
Like I never thought Splatoon’s maps could get any smaller (looking at Mahi mahi)
Is this a MP only game?
Great to see a 60 FPS / high res game on the Switch, there have been quite a few games in recent times that don't bother.
@@ramonandrajo6348 You don't make any sense. Saying it's great to see a 60 FPS / high res game is nowhere near "defending Nintendo at all costs."
@@logicalfundy just ignore him. he's a spam troll. but I do agree with you, I think more switch games should make use of AMD fsr like splat 3 and switch sports are using.
Its not actually paint you are spraying. Its ink. Hence the squids.
What bout the tracks that were in the splatfest is that music in the full game
And do you know what guys? Splatoon 1 online is still up, free, and playable today! (avoid to play late night though, when matchmaking struggles more)
Honestly runs really well. I got some gameplay
Game looks fantastic , but it can’t really improve graphically much further without sacrifices .
I think Splatoon drops frames in salmon run fairly often. I also experienced a lower framerate in some situations in ranked battle
It might need a more aggressive dynamic resolution to compensate imo
Wait how does it use AMD Fidelity FX when it have an Nvidia SOC?
I want digital Foundry to make a Video about Dreamlight Valley game
Awesome! This is my first Splatoon and glad to hear the single player is meaty because during Splatfest multiplayer a couple weeks ago I got whooped.
Play more wins aren't even that common in competitive play, just have fun even if you don't win
@@AsecasJavi that's good to hear! Yep just have fun that's the ticket.
I hate online competitive games, but I love splatoon. I played 2 a bunch and it's one of the few online games that I actually still have loads of fun when I'm getting totally whooped
The singleplayer in Splatoon usually is the best starting point for new players because it gives you a bit more time and space to play with the mechanics without so much pressure.
I also highly recommend checking out srb2dude's video titled: How to Optimize Aim & FIX Motion Control Issues For Splatoon 2 (BEST Motion Control Guide 2020)
Even though this video is for Splatoon 2, most of the same principles will apply to Splatoon 3, and they'll help the controls feel a lot more consistent!
@@AKA-Latromi ohh I saw some of his videos thanks ill check that video out! Also I saw his character in my hub world during splatfest haha.
So what’s the one game that’s worth having stadia for?
Can you guys do a video on the Sony Inzone M9 please
"The way cutscenes are presented is kinda not much of an improvement from the other games, BUT hey! At least there's a nice Bokeh Depth-of-field in use here".
Made me chuckle. 🤣. That's a very Digital Foundry humour right there..
Prior installments not prior versions
Can you skip the news segments in 3?
You can! Just press the left stick after the title screen and you'll be able to hear the news in the background as a radio channel.
>stick controls
lol, lmao even
By far, the best breakdown of this game. Thank you
Great vid, as usual! But it's not paint, it's ink.
for my eyes, the water in first splatoon reminds me of the sea rendered in Xenoblade 3.
15:05 Also, about the fur, the edges are rendered at lower resolution while the rest is high res
While I think Nintendo 1st party devs are masters of their craft, I still long for some better Nintendo hardware.
Nintendo still knows how to make great games even in 2022
The Switch successor will use either a Custom Ampere or custom Lovelace architecture GPU.
@@ramonandrajo6348 explain how that I'm defending Nintendo
@@ZackSNetwork Nintendo does have the games on par with Sony I think they need hardware some where on par with ps5 and Xbox series x and for it being portable. The switch has got some games on it running great on weak hardware but if it gets that a bit more power it may very likely to get most AAA 3rd party games
@@maplemiles3381 dude don’t even bother. Somehow I’ve remembered that name and he is a FIRST rate troll of the highest order across multiple videos.
Wouldn't a quantum leap be really really really small?
It is going to be my first Splatoon game. Im excited
Really splatoon 1 has more differences in the graphics department, splatoon 2 and splatoon 3 have the least graphical difference
Well Johnny boy I think you sold me on getting the game, nice video
12:20 feel it in my plummsss...
Looks great. On a side note... will there be another DF analysis video on the new CP2077 1.6 patch?
Lol no one plays that shit anymore
Hey Rockstar, this is how it's done, three new titles on one system. Not one old title spread over three generations! Noted was on WiiU but still the same 😁
easy mistake, but it's ink not paint.
I know for a fact that it goes to 45 fps or below in the hub area
So open world / open sandbox where you can paint everything in 1080p60fps on a freaking handheld.
Wonder where stuff went wrong with games like Elden Ring where it's barely able to run even on the PS5 and XBX.
Feels like developer sorta forget to just keep stuff clean and simple nowadays and make like stuff overly complicated.
Why no anti aliasing? Even the N64 used aa, in fact Nintendo touted that as one of the reasons why the system was so advanced along with mip mapping and z buffering.
It doesn't matter, in fact PS2 didn't used either due for the VRAM
@user-ng1qe8ns5t I go back and a lot of the games are a jaggy mess. Even at the time that was obvious especially seeing their launch lineup vs the dreamcast. It didn't matter though, people bought into the PS2 hype and that's all that mattered in the end.
@@deepblue8143 Just to keep in mind, Halo 3 on Xbox 360 didn't have AA and was an exclusive
I'm most disappointed about the lack of clarity around the cloud saves...seems like it's only offline which means we're still subject to losing our online progression and unlocks? Terrible in 2022.
it has cloud saving, it's been confirmed. Even in the testfire you could get back what you obtained if you delete the save on your system.
@@nnw5331 thats great. i remember splatoon 2 was really odd about it

No word on netcode?
What a shame.
It's using the new netcode that Monster Hunter Rise is using.
But now for the real question
Are you team rock, paper, or scissors?
Amazing the visual presentation they were able to pull off with the Switch hardware, when you've got games like Metroid Dread that look like they are from the gamecube era.
In what way Metroid Dread seems a GC era game? Lol
I must say I like the water from Splatoon 1 more than in 3, but other than that it looks very good
Can yall test Fsr 2.0 in RDR2?
Ok but why there is comparison between first Splatoon and Splatoon 3?
I guess it means that I don't have to upgrade my S2 :)
