What’s your take-did McAfee fake his own death?
One thing that's definitely not fake is the impact of a strong company domain.

He is not really being Paranoid. He really does have people coming after him, mostly authorities of various places and real nations who have real police, and real intelligences services, and real legal hammers to use on him such as incarcerating him. Paranoia on the other hand is a term that means such fears are largely or mostly unjustified and 'all in your own mind', but these are objectively real, hence he was NOT really Paranoid for the most part, rather he was 'reasonably cautious' in a legal and psychological sense.

This video is 10x more informative than Netflix "documentary", "Running with the Devil".
Despite being close to John MacAffee, the 2 journalist never asked him the tough question, don't talk about his nephew death and the lawsuit.
They forgot to talk about the first raid (the drug allegations), they don't talk about the arm guards who made the neighbours nervous.

I learned early on to avoid any software that removes control from the PC owner. Norton was the first and McAfee was fast on its heels. I'll never own anything from Macintosh. I'll never buy a new car or any device that has subscription usage. I could say what I think of people who don't agree with this but I think it's best to have plausible deniability.

Are you a kind of spy? lol. I'm not this paranoid. I agree you have to be aware but unless you're doing illegal or high level political stuff, it's alright.
I have done many illegal activity but it's not this serious, don't talk on the phone, write stuff on paper and don't use the cloud and you'll be alright.

The 90's versions of McAfee AV where solid and if you where clever usually free. Michelangelo was a PITA I got hit with it on several pcs at the time.
