I stayed last winter at the area LTVAs, including about a month at Pilot Knob. The big disadvantage of this LTVA s there is no water or dump. The Sidewinder Chevron, that did offer these services, had no dump or water available last year, and the gas there is about a dollar a gallon more than in Yuma. Their propane prices are high too. The closest dump there is at the Pilot Knob RV Resort (going out turn left before the gas station and it's about a mile on your left.) I think they charged us $15 for water and dump. If you get a job in the eastern part of Yuma, around the Fortuna Foothills area, you might want to stay at the Imperial Dam LTVA. It's a little farther from town, but you get free water and dump there. They also have a nice Christian Service center where you can receive your mail, packages for free. They also have propane for sale, though it is a little more expensive than in town, it's very convenient.
I lived and worked in Yuma for eight years and absolutely loved it! There is so much to do during the winter. The community caters to their winter visitors/residents. Some of the university students actually do surveys within the campgrounds/resorts to determine what would make their stay more enjoyable. As I prepare for my life as a nomad, Yuma is definitely in my future life. Los Algodones is so convenient. Plus, you are about halfway between Phoenix and San Diego. Now, telling my age. Back in the day in NC, high school students drove the school buses. At 16 years of age, I got my school bus license and drove a bus until I graduated. Scary, huh? But there was never a school bus accident my entire time in high school.
Oh my gosh...I was a high school bus driver my junior and senior year in high school in NC too! I loved it and had a great teacher in charge of the drivers..I think I made $1.25 an hour. Lol. I live in NC and now the PTB are considering using seniors again for the buses...all the school systems are short of drivers..
I recall the same thing. I moved from NJ in 79 my senior year to Asheville.Was really surprised by the young drivers. I had my license and drove to school.
When I was 10, my Daddy drove my school bus. He had been laid off from GM and also worked as a janitor for the school system. He was one of those dad's that had "the look". If someone started to act out he would just turn around and look at them and they would just straighten up. Probably can't do it now; but in the summer he would take me to work with him and drop me in the library and the library staff was wonderful and let me help out. Being a school bus driver makes a difference.
For anyone who hasn't done it, you can park by the border crossing and walk to Algodones. It's pretty much hassle free, and the food is incredible over there!
I already have an AZ class B CDL, so I looked into driving a school bus for the Yuma school district. The problem is, they only pay $14.50 per hour. Sadly, you can earn more working in fast food. Too bad hamburgers are rated more highly than our precious children.
The pay might not be high but it really depends on what you do with your money. Nomads are usually minimalistic people anyways so it goes without saying.
Right. But, if one is not burdoned with paying rent or mortgage staying at this place Bob mentioned you don't need that much money. You can actually save money.
Last winter while near Yuma I met girls from Mexico who drove school busses. So I suspect the demand is very high as Bob says. They said pay was good even for US standards and excellent for those who live in Mexico. They even brought me a couple homemade meals, the hospitality there is great!
2 1/2 years ago I bought 20 acres about seven tenths of a mile, north from where you filmed this video. It was supposed to be my retirement home, and it is right next door to the 5 acre home that my mom and stepdad built about 40 years ago. Long story short, couldn't find contractors, or CA licensed well driller (Imperial county will not let you bring in, and store potable water) and had to buy a house in the foothills for my mom and I. I was hoping to develop it into something where friends and possibly a couple of snowbirds could spend time camping (really close to the sand dunes, and off course lots of places to explore, off road). It's sad, but there have been several people that were trying to develop a home in this small area (Sidewinder road, north), and some still are. There are some folks that built at the same time as my mom and stepdad that are still there. Never would have thought in a million years that it would end up to be something that wouldn't be doable. School bus driver here. Like Bob says it is not a bad job. Where I drive in the PNW, if you get a permanent route, you get medical benefits. I started as a substitute driver, which did not provide benefits, but my district would go to the most senior substitutes when a permanent route needed to be filled. I don't know if this is the case for all school districts. You can also make additional money by driving field trips. If you want a school bus driver job you cannot do drugs or smoke weed. Before they consider you for a driver, you must pass a drug test. This is a Federal requirement of holding a CDL, so it doesn't matter if weed is legal in your state. As a driver you will be subject to random drug tests too. You will also have to pass a background check.
My beautiful significant other just finished a 37-year career in Whatcom County WA driving school bus. We are greatly enjoying the fruits of her labors in the form of her pension and other retirement benefits.
I was a school bus driver a few years ago...it's why I retired. Putting up with kids that have no respect, and working for companies and schools that offer lip service to the rules, I'm not sure it would be worth it. Also, many states will require you get licensed in the state, and if that is the deal in AZ, that's a big chunk of change.

I was not allowed to stay at pilot knob last winter because I was not towing a ‘self-contained’ camper with its own black water tank. Unless they have changed the rules this year, only two of the LTVAs allow you to stay 200’ from the restroom if you are in a van or non-rv camper: La Posa and Imperial Dam. I’m a retired teacher and the school year is typically 10 months, but drivers are in such demand you may well be able to negotiate a shorter time frame. I spent the better part of last winter near Yuma. My favorite spots were near the Imperial Sand dunes on the CA side. Good luck.
I had my Class A with all endorsements. Most you need would be a Class A with air brakes, passenger and your school bus cert. I spent 15 yrs almost all special ed and field trips. Money is decent. Where else can you just work 181 days a year! Awesome job I really miss it!
Great information. So true that you will never be out of a job with a CDL. Retired out of an industry associated with trucking and they always are looking for people. Big trucks, small trucks, school buses or part time.
I'm so glad you did this video. I went there a bunch of times, 20 years ago to the Western Horizon RV Park next to you a few hundred feet. There was some kind of business there in front of the LTVA where you could use the dump station and get drinking water too for a small fee. I climbed to the top of Pilot Knob 5 times with my mountain bike. Here is a secret too. Once or twice a winter the sand in the sand dunes to the west get high winds. You will get really fine grit in your P&B sandwiches on those days. It's crunchy. So you will need to get use to that.
There is no bathroom at the Pilot Knob LTVA. Also, it's worth noting that Yuma is the hottest city in America and one of the hottest in the world, except for December to March. Yuma also has one of the youngest demographics in the country and if you're going to work there it's helpful to speak some Spanish. There's a very nice Indian casino a short drive from the LTVA that has really nice bathrooms open 24/7. We loved Yuma and Pilot Knob so much that we bought a very inexpensive "park model" in an older park on the east side of town. Music jams at most of the parks in Yuma on a weekly basis. I have a class A and have been trucking for 28+ years. I use to have my P endorsement. I'm retiring to live full time in my Skoolie. This is exactly what I've been planning on doing. Not sure where yet, but that's the plan. Thanks for this info! 😎✌🐾
I have been in Yuma for almost 6 years now. I love where Yuma is located geographically; it's 2.5h away to San Diego & Phoenix. 4h away to Disneyland. 5h away from Las Vegas. 20 minutes away from the Mexican border. So if you need to see doctors and medicines, you can go to Los Algodones Mexico. No need for prescriptions. The only 2 things that sucks about Yuma for me, is that there is nothing much to do here, and IT IS TOOOOOOOO HOT 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Only 4 months the temperature drops; from Nov to March. Temperatures after that are over 100 degrees daily. Summer 115 sometimes 120 daily. Unfortunately nothing is perfect in life!!!
TO BOB, because the LTVA’s (this one for example) require a “permanently affixed waste water tank” please make a video that addresses that issue. Since you have spent so many years in that area (staying on BLM and LTVA areas, in a variety of camping vehicles, it would be good to hear how people with DIY vans or cargo trailers or other vehicles (not pre-built RVs or Campers that have built-in toilet systems) get around this issue. In many of your videos you ask people how they “go to the bathroom” and many (including you) say they use the bucket method. And composting toilets are very popular now. But since those won’t qualify as “permanently affixed waste water tanks” what do you suggest? I don’t mean “I suggest a bucket.” I mean, can a van or cargo trailer have a 10 gallon holding tank installed in order to “pass the test” but then the owner still uses bucket or composting toilet method to eliminate the need for pump out station use? Or what is a good solution for someone who does not have a typical RV black water tank + toilet system. I mean to qualify to stay in these LTVA areas you are suggesting.
I was wondering the same. He mentioned parking near the toilet facility, but the sign didn't indicate that. Wondering if you had a blackwater tank that appears to be connected to the inside of the vehicle, if that would satisfy the authorities. I would think they would be violating your privacy rights by demanding to see the inside of the vehicle. I have a Porta Potti that I try to commit to #1. If #2 is imminent, I line the bowl with a bathroom trash bag and employee kitty litter. But, that's for traveling. I guess if I was to graduate to this BLM LTVA I would have a dedicated bucket, or perhaps something a little grander as I do a lot of reading.
I love Yuma! So much opportunity with two military bases, snowbird season, massive agriculture industry and if you want to live a boondocking lifestyle people mind their own business as long as you mind yours. People are helpful and friendly and y’all are welcome to come! And honestly it’s monsoon season and it’s already getting mild here (you get used to it haha).

Bob, have you considered starting a commune type for nomads so they can establish a base for licensing, issuance and an address for residency? They can “rent” a space in that property in name only.
Working for the school system overall is a good temporary job. Like janitorial, lunchroom, or as a substitute janitor, lunchroom worker or teacher. No credentials needed, just a clean background check.
I'm currently training to be a school bus driver. I will have a class B CDL license when I pass my road test. The pay is $30/hr in New Jersey. Not too shabby! 😃
These are my favorite videos of his. I like knowing all of the potential places to park. That's why my past experience with car camping kind of backfired. I kept getting harassed by cops and didn't feel like I had any privacy. Glad places like these exist.

I can't imagine not having to work for a year or more! That is just a pipe dream when I hear it. Sounds amazing! I like working, but I like doing my own thing. Like being in a situation where I'm not DEPENDING on that next check to survive. Man that sounds like heaven.

I believe since February 2022 you have to goto a accredited CDL school now. Even for a class B or adding a passenger or school bus or hazmat endorsement
I took bus driver training many years ago. I had my CDL. I never ended up driving because the transit system we were voting on didn’t get approved. I think about driving a school bus where I live but I’m not sure I can pass the physical.
Great thought on the school bus driver.. You do have to pass a DOT Medical and drug test. You also have to pass a background check. Typical pay is over $20 an hour.
I like the Beet harvest in October. It is only 3 weeks. I compared the pay to what I make at my regular job 5 days a week 40 hours. In the 3 weeks of what they pull in it compares to 3 and 1\2 months of my salary, in just 3 weeks. That is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm turning 62 next year and I am applying for SSI and retire early. I will travel all over the US, Canada, and Mexico. I'm going to work the beet harvest, and then in Yuma for the rest of the winter. I have my CDL already. I can vacation up north till the beet harvest again.
Sounds good if you qualify for SSI. It’s not that easy to obtain and remember you’re locked into that monthly amount for the rest of your life outside of yearly costs of living which sure isn’t much believe me. And you don’t get healthcare for two years.

THE MEDICAID KICKED IN SEVERAL MONTHS AGO!! TOOK JUST 1 MONTH TO BE APPROVED FOR SSI (AT 65 YOU GO FROM SSI TO SOCIAL SECURITY RETIREMENT AND GET SSI SUPPLEMENT I APPLIED THIS YEAR FOR SSI AND I GOT MY MEDICAL SEVERAL MONTHS AGO!!! The CDL drivers license is a great option but folks should be aware that there are quite a few medical disqualifiers that people need to be aware of. But.. It's a very good idea non the less.

It looks like there is an Aztec type pyramid behind your right shoulder. This is a great idea, I thought I could keep my house, because some of my adult children live with me, so, I could keep all that, and go there over the winter, while they keep up my house! See heres my dealio, I'll be living in a 94 Nissan Hard body. It gets great gas mileage for a truck. I do doordash and instacart, now I can make a pretty ridiculous amount of money off both of them. And because I use my vehicle to work, all car related expenses are tax right offs. I'm not too sure if its do-able in those with a large van or RV, but for those car/suv/small truck campers we can do this pretty easily and have guaranteed work almost anywhere
You're giving me flashbacks of an old bus driver named Diane Biggs, her route caused her to pass our house twice and we use the first pass as a warning and then we would run out to catch the second pass, which conveniently put the door and the bus on our side of the street. For some reason that evil broad insisted on us being out there for the first pass. I can't remember but I think there was a parental intervention on that. I was so glad when our previous bus driver Fran was our bus driver the next year.

There is a reason for the high demand for school bus drivers. Most people can not tolerate it! Been there done that for 6 years. It will be part time likely without benefits. The hourly pay appears great but realize you will work maybe two hours in the morning, go home, then go back and work two hours in the afternoon. It can be very stressful trying to maintain order on the bus. Doing field trips and sporting events is much less stressful because there will be teachers on the bus to do the "crowd control" and get you more hours but at a significant reduction in pay rate. If it were an easy great job there would not always be a high demand for drivers. Oh and the hot, dusty, and dirty does not sound appealing to me.
Looked into this one. California says if you have to have a physical address in order to change your outer state license. California companies won’t hire you unless you have a California license. That seems to be all driving jobs. They will make you retest Plus even if you have the true ID they will make you go though that process again. California DMV makes you show proof of residence by showing a Least, A Deed, Utility Bill, Bank Statement, Phone Bill. They won’t accept PO Boxes as a physical address . I was going through this in 2023 in June July and August. It was really stressful. I have a CDL no accidents No tickets it’s still a problem. Wow

I go to the Uinta Mts of northern Utah, near the Wyoming border. All BLM and dispersed camping. All above 8000 ft, and beautiful Flaming Gorge nearby. Another favorite of mine is Dinosaur National Monument, on the Colorado border of NE Utah. Very remote areas and 1000s of miles of dirt roads, 6000 ft elevation, along the Green and Yampa rivers
Excellent idea!!!! And every job is a learning job!!!! I worked with high schools in somewhat the same position (my job was to keep them safe and healthy) and I enjoyed almost every minute of the term.

I drive a school bus, in South Dakota, but no air conditioning in those buses. Pretty miserable if you can’t handle the heat.

If there's any concrete companies in the area, You might make more driving a concrete mixer truck.
The pay might not be high but it really depends on what you do with your money. Nomads are usually minimalistic people anyways so it goes without saying.

Last winter while near Yuma I met girls from Mexico who drove school busses. So I suspect the demand is very high as Bob says. They said pay was good even for US standards and excellent for those who live in Mexico. They even brought me a couple homemade meals, the hospitality there is great!

2 1/2 years ago I bought 20 acres about seven tenths of a mile, north from where you filmed this video.
It was supposed to be my retirement home, and it is right next door to the 5 acre home that my mom and stepdad built about 40 years ago.
Long story short, couldn't find contractors, or CA licensed well driller (Imperial county will not let you bring in, and store potable water) and had to buy a house in the foothills for my mom and I.
I was hoping to develop it into something where friends and possibly a couple of snowbirds could spend time camping (really close to the sand dunes, and off course lots of places to explore, off road).
It's sad, but there have been several people that were trying to develop a home in this small area (Sidewinder road, north), and some still are. There are some folks that built at the same time as my mom and stepdad that are still there.
Never would have thought in a million years that it would end up to be something that wouldn't be doable.
I'm keeping the land for now...

School bus driver here. Like Bob says it is not a bad job. Where I drive in the PNW, if you get a permanent route, you get medical benefits. I started as a substitute driver, which did not provide benefits, but my district would go to the most senior substitutes when a permanent route needed to be filled. I don't know if this is the case for all school districts. You can also make additional money by driving field trips. If you want a school bus driver job you cannot do drugs or smoke weed. Before they consider you for a driver, you must pass a drug test. This is a Federal requirement of holding a CDL, so it doesn't matter if weed is legal in your state. As a driver you will be subject to random drug tests too. You will also have to pass a background check.
Fingerprints in my district done and checked by police department and has to be redone every 3 years. Definitely no drugs.
In Missouri CDL only drug tests if you are traveling out of the state

I was a school bus driver a few years ago...it's why I retired. Putting up with kids that have no respect, and working for companies and schools that offer lip service to the rules, I'm not sure it would be worth it. Also, many states will require you get licensed in the state, and if that is the deal in AZ, that's a big chunk of change.

I was not allowed to stay at pilot knob last winter because I was not towing a ‘self-contained’ camper with its own black water tank. Unless they have changed the rules this year, only two of the LTVAs allow you to stay 200’ from the restroom if you are in a van or non-rv camper: La Posa and Imperial Dam. I’m a retired teacher and the school year is typically 10 months, but drivers are in such demand you may well be able to negotiate a shorter time frame. I spent the better part of last winter near Yuma. My favorite spots were near the Imperial Sand dunes on the CA side. Good luck.

I had my Class A with all endorsements. Most you need would be a Class A with air brakes, passenger and your school bus cert. I spent 15 yrs almost all special ed and field trips. Money is decent. Where else can you just work 181 days a year! Awesome job I really miss it!
Great information. So true that you will never be out of a job with a CDL. Retired out of an industry associated with trucking and they always are looking for people. Big trucks, small trucks, school buses or part time.
I'm so glad you did this video. I went there a bunch of times, 20 years ago to the Western Horizon RV Park next to you a few hundred feet. There was some kind of business there in front of the LTVA where you could use the dump station and get drinking water too for a small fee. I climbed to the top of Pilot Knob 5 times with my mountain bike. Here is a secret too. Once or twice a winter the sand in the sand dunes to the west get high winds. You will get really fine grit in your P&B sandwiches on those days. It's crunchy. So you will need to get use to that.
There is no bathroom at the Pilot Knob LTVA. Also, it's worth noting that Yuma is the hottest city in America and one of the hottest in the world, except for December to March. Yuma also has one of the youngest demographics in the country and if you're going to work there it's helpful to speak some Spanish. There's a very nice Indian casino a short drive from the LTVA that has really nice bathrooms open 24/7. We loved Yuma and Pilot Knob so much that we bought a very inexpensive "park model" in an older park on the east side of town. Music jams at most of the parks in Yuma on a weekly basis. I have a class A and have been trucking for 28+ years. I use to have my P endorsement. I'm retiring to live full time in my Skoolie. This is exactly what I've been planning on doing. Not sure where yet, but that's the plan. Thanks for this info!

I have been in Yuma for almost 6 years now. I love where Yuma is located geographically; it's 2.5h away to San Diego & Phoenix. 4h away to Disneyland. 5h away from Las Vegas. 20 minutes away from the Mexican border. So if you need to see doctors and medicines, you can go to Los Algodones Mexico. No need for prescriptions. The only 2 things that sucks about Yuma for me, is that there is nothing much to do here, and IT IS TOOOOOOOO HOT 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Only 4 months the temperature drops; from Nov to March. Temperatures after that are over 100 degrees daily. Summer 115 sometimes 120 daily.

TO BOB, because the LTVA’s (this one for example) require a “permanently affixed waste water tank” please make a video that addresses that issue. Since you have spent so many years in that area (staying on BLM and LTVA areas, in a variety of camping vehicles, it would be good to hear how people with DIY vans or cargo trailers or other vehicles (not pre-built RVs or Campers that have built-in toilet systems) get around this issue. In many of your videos you ask people how they “go to the bathroom” and many (including you) say they use the bucket method. And composting toilets are very popular now. But since those won’t qualify as “permanently affixed waste water tanks” what do you suggest? I don’t mean “I suggest a bucket.” I mean, can a van or cargo trailer have a 10 gallon holding tank installed in order to “pass the test” but then the owner still uses bucket or composting toilet method to eliminate the need for pump out station use? Or what is a good solution for someone who does not have a typical RV black water tank + toilet system. I mean to qualify to stay in these LTVA areas you are suggesting.

I was wondering the same. He mentioned parking near the toilet facility, but the sign didn't indicate that. Wondering if you had a blackwater tank that appears to be connected to the inside of the vehicle, if that would satisfy the authorities. I would think they would be violating your privacy rights by demanding to see the inside of the vehicle. I have a Porta Potti that I try to commit to #1. If #2 is imminent, I line the bowl with a bathroom trash bag and employee kitty litter. But, that's for traveling. I guess if I was to graduate to this BLM LTVA I would have a dedicated bucket, or perhaps something a little grander as I do a lot of reading.

So much opportunity with two military bases, snowbird season, massive agriculture industry and if you want to live a boondocking lifestyle people mind their own business as long as you mind yours. People are helpful and friendly and y’all are welcome to come! And honestly it’s monsoon season and it’s already getting mild here (you get used to it haha).

Working for the school system overall is a good temporary job. Like janitorial, lunchroom, or as a substitute janitor, lunchroom worker or teacher. No credentials needed, just a clean background check.
I'm currently training to be a school bus driver. I will have a class B CDL license when I pass my road test. The pay is $30/hr in New Jersey. Not too shabby! 😃
These are my favorite videos of his. I like knowing all of the potential places to park. That's why my past experience with car camping kind of backfired. I kept getting harassed by cops and didn't feel like I had any privacy. Glad places like these exist.

I can't imagine not having to work for a year or more! That is just a pipe dream when I hear it. Sounds amazing! I like working, but I like doing my own thing. Like being in a situation where I'm not DEPENDING on that next check to survive. Man that sounds like heaven.

I believe since February 2022 you have to goto a accredited CDL school now. Even for a class B or adding a passenger or school bus or hazmat endorsement

I took bus driver training many years ago. I had my CDL. I never ended up driving because the transit system we were voting on didn’t get approved. I think about driving a school bus where I live but I’m not sure I can pass the physical.

Great thought on the school bus driver.. You do have to pass a DOT Medical and drug test. You also have to pass a background check. Typical pay is over $20 an hour.

I like the Beet harvest in October. It is only 3 weeks. I compared the pay to what I make at my regular job 5 days a week 40 hours. In the 3 weeks of what they pull in it compares to 3 and 1\2 months of my salary, in just 3 weeks. That is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm turning 62 next year and I am applying for SSI and retire early. I will travel all over the US, Canada, and Mexico. I'm going to work the beet harvest, and then in Yuma for the rest of the winter. I have my CDL already. I can vacation up north till the beet harvest again.
Sounds good if you qualify for SSI. It’s not that easy to obtain and remember you’re locked into that monthly amount for the rest of your life outside of yearly costs of living which sure isn’t much believe me. And you don’t get healthcare for two years.
@@denisekenney6436 i got my SSI in 1998, got off it in 2017 because of inheritance money. 2019 i had a staph A infection, cost over 1 million bucks. 2023 i turned 65 and took social security, then divorced my wife (steffy) and moved out. i applied for SSI based on age in 2024 and soon as i was approved they sent the paperwork to social services. my social security is less than $400 a month and my SSI brings it up to $9xx.00 a month. THE MEDICAID KICKED IN SEVERAL MONTHS AGO!! TOOK JUST 1 MONTH TO BE APPROVED FOR SSI (AT 65 YOU GO FROM SSI TO SOCIAL SECURITY RETIREMENT AND GET SSI SUPPLEMENT

The CDL drivers license is a great option but folks should be aware that there are quite a few medical disqualifiers that people need to be aware of. But..

It looks like there is an Aztec type pyramid behind your right shoulder. This is a great idea, I thought I could keep my house, because some of my adult children live with me, so, I could keep all that, and go there over the winter, while they keep up my house! I just need a self-contained camper type thing to stay there. Thank you for all your help Bob!
See heres my dealio, I'll be living in a 94 Nissan Hard body. It gets great gas mileage for a truck. I do doordash and instacart, now I can make a pretty ridiculous amount of money off both of them. And because I use my vehicle to work, all car related expenses are tax right offs. I'm not too sure if its do-able in those with a large van or RV, but for those car/suv/small truck campers we can do this pretty easily and have guaranteed work almost anywhere

You're giving me flashbacks of an old bus driver named Diane Biggs, her route caused her to pass our house twice and we use the first pass as a warning and then we would run out to catch the second pass, which conveniently put the door and the bus on our side of the street. For some reason that evil broad insisted on us being out there for the first pass. I can't remember but I think there was a parental intervention on that. I was so glad when our previous bus driver Fran was our bus driver the next year.

There is a reason for the high demand for school bus drivers. Most people can not tolerate it! Been there done that for 6 years. It will be part time likely without benefits. The hourly pay appears great but realize you will work maybe two hours in the morning, go home, then go back and work two hours in the afternoon. It can be very stressful trying to maintain order on the bus. Doing field trips and sporting events is much less stressful because there will be teachers on the bus to do the "crowd control" and get you more hours but at a significant reduction in pay rate. If it were an easy great job there would not always be a high demand for drivers. Oh and the hot, dusty, and dirty does not sound appealing to me.
All sounds awesome I just need to find an affordable RV or the like. I’m actually looking at moving to Yuma right now.

Looked into this one. California says if you have to have a physical address in order to change your outer state license. California companies won’t hire you unless you have a California license. That seems to be all driving jobs. They will make you retest Plus even if you have the true ID they will make you go though that process again. California DMV makes you show proof of residence by showing a Least, A Deed, Utility Bill, Bank Statement, Phone Bill. They won’t accept PO Boxes as a physical address . I was going through this in 2023 in June July and August. It was really stressful. I have a CDL no accidents No tickets it’s still a problem. Wow

I go to the Uinta Mts of northern Utah, near the Wyoming border. All BLM and dispersed camping. All above 8000 ft, and beautiful Flaming Gorge nearby. Another favorite of mine is Dinosaur National Monument, on the Colorado border of NE Utah. Very remote areas and 1000s of miles of dirt roads, 6000 ft elevation, along the Green and Yampa rivers
I’m a city bus driver. The great thing about CDL’s is that you can go anywhere and get a job now. Gotta be drug & alcohol free though.
7 months of school in the west coast, that is awesome. Here in the east coast is from September to June, that's 10 months.
My husband got his cdl that way! He says being a school bus driver was the funnest job he ever had😁
Excellent idea!!!! And every job is a learning job!!!! I worked with high schools in somewhat the same position (my job was to keep them safe and healthy) and I enjoyed almost every minute of the term.
