I think there is a special year long pass for $75 for that area you stayed at. You still have to move every 14 days, but, if you can afford it, it is worth having 'options'. Up top where everyone is at, get Super Windy! Down in the wash, you are more protected.
The thing that frustrates me, is the rv's n motorhomes that park by the restrooms so fewer spaces for car campers etc.
I do recycled drink bottles for p. Cedar shavings for #2 that goes in trash. I dump jugs at blueboy station in QZ or down sewer at LTVA. So don't have to be by a restroom. *just dont dump into porta potty, they can fine you if caught, besides, super easy the other way.
    BTW, your Jumbalaya looks Scrumptious!!

I would say Good Day Miss Sarah but you called Lil" One selfish and I just cannot believe it!
So good to see our Lovely Ladies happy and smiling! On top of making great videos as advertisements for locations you are truly showing the world where the best spots are for meditation. Anyone can show a mountain view or a mountain lake and be serene, but Miss Jeepsy takes us to the desert and LIVES! Maybe I am just one of the few that appreciate some time in the arid regions?
It does my heart good to see you smiling and Lil' One running free. The greatest benefit of small dogs; you don't have to throw a ball far to play with them!
With much Love and Respect Miss Sarah, You are in my prayers and gratitude!
    Hoka Hey

I'm sad that I missed you. I'm in the LTVA in the Coyote Ridge at the end of Ferguson Rd past the Christian Center. Glad you enjoyed your stay here at the Senator Wash North Shore area. It is peaceful there at the lake (except when the weekend local crowd comes... they like to be noisy and play loud music). Glad you didn't have that experience of loud neighbors. Have a safe trip back to Quartzsite.

Dont camp below the high water mark at Senators Wash, you could wake up to your jeep in the water. The Dam uses it for storing water, or pulling water out. 😎

I had a similar occurance in that area .. I was at the Laguna FamCamp at the base and they wouldn't allow me to stay because I had a dry toilet .. they had never heard of such a thing. So I was not allowed to stay .. off I went to the next FamCamp and the dry toilet was a non-issue .. as it has been at all the Famcamps I have visited .. weird! I'm heading west again right after New Years .. not sure where but I have have lots of options. 🤠

If you have some sandy shore or beach area you can fix the water, shower situation. Remember Cody Linden, Dual Survival. Dig a hole bucket deep near waters edge and let water filter from source to your hole threw sand then gather and pore water threw cloth into container. It’s a challenge to bring all that gear that is so useful. The jeep with the trailer had a good idea, just match your differential gear ratio accordingly 4.88 or 5.29. Them gears will drop your top speed but will transform your machine into a beastly Power Wagon💪🤙

    $180 Sept 16th thru April 16th = months.
I got here from my first time visit in the middle of February I purchased 1 14 days pass then went to BLM free 14 Day stay This time I was planning on spending May and June at imperial dam.
Next year I plan to buy the full pass but I found some free camping areas that I really like secluded😂❤
Lot's of spots near Quartzsite that are great and plenty of services in town.

I have often wondered why you dont have a little trailer. I spent about 6 weeks in one on a long trip. in a little teardrop trailer towed behind a Chevy HHR A teardrop is just a tiny little trailer big enough to sleep in and the very back opens up to cook. Light enough that if I got in a tight place where GPS said there was a highway I could take it loose , get the car turned arround and then turn the trailer arround and hook it back up by hand.

Paying for water and dump can be cheaper than a LTVA. A friend in Quartzsite figures she can get water, and dump for $15 a month. If you are just staying a month or two, a LTVA will cost you more, (something like $40). Long term pricing works out to $160 / 6 months is $26.60 per month. Larger rigs seem to benefit more from not needing to have to move, Travel trailers / 5th wheels in particular, as you have transportation once the trailer is dropped.

    • @birdlady2725
      @birdlady2725 Рік тому +1

$180, but a great deal if you are not up to moving every 14 days. The convienience of trash, water n dump stations are great - plus, you can still travel to other LTVA's on the pass or go to BLM. It is an inexpensive option to have 🙂
As always, be safe n have fun!

The Senator Wash looks awesome compared to the upper LTVA. I ordered a BLM camping booklet and looked it up. It is saying it is $15. Is that for the entire 14 days you can stay or is it per night. It’s not really clear but I’m thinking it is per night because in the other fee areas it lists $40/14 days and is specific for the time period and fee. Still at $15/night it would be worth it to be right on the water like you are. I’m planning to come down to Quartzite and other areas next winter and will definitely try to get to Senator Wash! Love your adventures!!

It has that desert oasis feel and was quiet, clean, and although it was pretty close to your neighbor due to cellular access, the people were very nice and would watch the camp when you were gone. We will most likely go back next year. The only downside to the area is the 30 minute drive to town.
