- ER Doctor Jordan Wagner is back with doctor reacts to Simpsons medical scenes part 4. Doctor Wagner, a real life emergency physician Simpsons reaction / real doctor reacts to Simpsons funniest moments, Simpsons predictions, Simpsons characters, illnesses, injuries, and medicine. Doctor Jordan Wagner watches and reacts to The Simpsons and funny classic Simpsons moments and tells us what is accurate and what is not in these funny Simpsons clips.
The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series is a satirical depiction of American life, epitomized by the Simpson family: Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, Bart Simpson, Lisa Simpson, and Maggie Simpson. The Simpson family navigate their fair share of injuries and doctor’s appointments with Dr. Nick and Dr. Hibbert, but the medical accuracy of these Simpsons clips is questionable, to say the least. After ER Doctor Jordan Wagner reacted to The Simpsons a while back, he got a lot of requests to make a part 4. So today Doctor Wagner, a real life emergency physician from Experts React on Gamology will be watching and reacting to Simpsons funny moments and Simpsons best ever clips. Some of the Simpsons best moments from My Sister, My Sitter, The Heartbroke Kid, Kidney Trouble, Selma's Choice, and Bart-Mangled Banner. In the past The Simpsons have even been credited for correctly predicting a bunch of wild events. Do you watch Simpsons full episodes? If you want Dr. Jordan Wagner to continue making this doctor reaction series please give this video a like and leave a comment on which TV show or medical memes or just funny memes you'd like for him to review next.
This animated comedy focuses on the eponymous family in the town of Springfield. The head of the Simpson family, Homer, is not a typical family man. A nuclear-plant employee, he does his best to lead his family but often finds that they are leading him. The family includes loving, blue-haired matriarch Marge, troublemaking son Bart, overachieving daughter Lisa and baby Maggie. Other Springfield residents include the family's religious neighbor, Ned Flanders, family physician Dr. Hibbert, Moe the bartender and police chief Clancy Wiggum.

Would love it if you checked out the Moris from dead by daylight. They are absolutly brutal
This isn't a TV show..
Its a movie.
But I highly recommend that you react to Osmosis Jones!
I loved the episode when Homer runs away to avoid giving his kidney. That scene at the end when the car drops on him and they take it out was the icing on the cake .
I thought for sure he would have something to say about them stealing his kidney without consent. Though he probably already signed the form before getting prepped. I wonder what the rules are then, if it's implied that he's withdrawn consent by running away.
@@Tesserex
I dont think you can withdraw consent by running away. After you sign a contract you also cant just run away from it. You already signed it, running doesnt make it void...
@@Tesserex even if consent wasn't an issue, I'm pretty sure doctors couldn't just help themselves to extract a kidney from somebody who just experienced massive traumatic injury like getting crushed by a car. Surely the injured body would need as much of their original parts together in order to properly recover and become healthy enough to try kidney donation later on. The kidney could be heavily compromised either by injury to the organ or working hard to compensate for other injuries.
((AND DONT JUST SAY ITS A CARTOON. I GET IT.))
@@viderlest8888 but medical consent isn't a contract. You have the right to withdraw at any time. I just don't know what qualifies as withdrawing.
it was moleman driving i sware every acident is because of moleman
I had no idea how many medical scenes The Simpsons has. Also, Dr. Hibbert saying "Damn it, I will not bury another patient" really caught me off guard
Also a quote from Dr Nick: "The coroner?! I'm so sick of that guy."
The Simpsons honestly go through a ton of trauma. The women of the family get off pretty easily for the most part. (Though Marge has had multiple incidents where she's had some sort of mental breakdown), but Bart and especially Homer have gone through so much bodily trauma to the point where they're lucky to be alive. Homer's had multiple heart attacks and frequent bouts of bodily trauma, plus there was that time where they actually thought he was going to die from Fugu Poisoning, while Bart's had frequent broken bones, a ruptured appendix and his own Heart Attack.
I guess you can chalk it up to the fact that over 30+ seasons you're going to go through a lot of similar plot points. (Like Bart's also has about a dozen or so girlfriends over the show's run, most of whom have never had subsequent appearances.)
Yea and to think, he's the competent one out of the Simpsons two doctors.
@@evansageser6943 Yeah, I think part of that was talked about by Matt Groening (one of the series creators) that the writers/directors were actually afraid to do a lot of the stuff to the girls that they had no problem with doing to the male characters. That's why most of the physical mayhem happens to Homer or Bart, etc.
He talked about this on a DVD commentary on Futuruama actually, season 1 though I don't remember exactly which episode, because he was making a comparison regarding Amy on that show, and the fact she was created specifically to break that pattern, aka she was made to be a slapstick victim.
@@freedantheeternal If it helps, I’m planning to have female slapstick victims in my own works.
My sister and I LAUGHED so hard when we saw him eat that sandwich and I noticed all the little mushrooms growing out of it. Laughed so hard we were crying.

When Dr.Hibbert says “Got her GOOOOD” and then Maggie looks all grumpy always gets me😂😂
I love these reactions to medical clips from the Simpsons. Not only the medical background behind it but also the nostalgia aspect because These are some of the best episodes in the early seasons of the Simpsons. Brings back good memories.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed this Simpsons reaction! What TV would you like to see me react to next on my channel?

I think calling what you do an "educational breakdown" is a sure win! I love the way you react to shows; I always learn something except for "that never happens like that".
You should react to horrible histories! It’s a British kids sketch show that teaches kids about history but it’s actually really funny, there are a lot of medical scenes talking about old treatments and things
Oh hell yes! I’ve heard that a lot of the old-timey medical moments in that show are actually quite historically accurate (even though they’re hilarious) and would love to have your input on that. Would love to see you tackle a few of the ambulance or hospital sketches from Horrible Histories
That would be perfect!!!
I still have the books!! Good old medieval medicine!!
Dude I literally was watching Horrible Histories as well
Your laughter is something I look forward to every time I see your videos. The only contagious thing I'm okay with 😁
When Bart puts Homer's beer in the paint shaker for April fools always cracks me up!
It is alluded that Smithers is gay, at least when this episode was made. Him standing in that position alluded a stuck foreign body making him unable to sit. I was too young to catch the joke at the time. Real stories of the ER stuff here.
I'm going to assume, with the gay staple at the time of that episode. He had an, um.. episode with a.. furry rodent of sorts... 🐹
Yeah I didn’t get the joke until I was an adult.
Your Simpsons reactions are hilarious! Keep it up!
Thanks! What was your favorite Simpsons medical scene?

@@DoctorERdo a live video of you watching Tom and jerry painful moments episode’s
Dr. Hibbert: “Damnit I will not bury another patient!”
Me: I’m pretty sure that’s not what you wanna hear from your doctor, that and “oops!”
😂😂😂😂😂
A doctor can do everything right, but if the patient doesn't heed advice to control their conditions on their end, things can end poorly.
Or also, "What the hell is that?" right before surgery
Sometimes, you can do everything right, everything by the book, even something you've done 100 times before and _still_ lose a patient.
It is when they stop caring about that when you really need to worry.
My last vaccine (Pfizer) I couldn’t help but joke “I kinda wish I was getting a lollipop after this”. The nurse laughed at me and said “nobody ever grows out wanting the lollipop”
Love your videos Doctor ER. Couldn’t get over this segment 5:57 “if you’re cabatable”. I believe this is a type of Freudian slip.
This guy's reactions are amazing.
5:40 THANK YOU!!! Seriously, Dr. Hipper was so cold hearted for finding that funny.
Don't forget Maggie! "Oh I got her when your heads were turned". "Got her good"!💉🤣🤣
I'm glad you did the kidney episode, i remembered that one scaring me as a kid. The fact that they wouldn't let Grandpa Simpson go the bathroom for al ong trip and kidneys exploding made me brings bottles I could pee in if I knew i had a long trip JUST because of that.
Having empty bottles even at home is a good idea as sometimes someone else is in the bathroom and you REALLY have to go.
Love these reaction vids! Just barely saw your south park reaction last night too. It gave me a good laugh too.
Thank you! Turn those bell notifications on!
"Whoa, why does Bart look so big?" xD! I'm dead.
6:34 ‘Car’ma at its finest! XD
I love how genuinely funny you find everything. You have a good laugh.
Now that you mentioned swallowing a quarter, I have to tell my story.
When I was young and dumb (8yo) I was playing with a quarter in my mouth when I accidentally swallowed it! Every morning and evening my father would pull out his metal detector to check if it had exited my body. Hearing that thing beep was always so disappointing. I even had the embarrassing task of having to explain to my teacher (in private or course) why I had to take a large spoon with me to the bathroom...
It never moved! It had somehow adhered to my stomach lining, and sat there for about a month or so. By the time doctors at a children's hospital were able to put me under, go in with a scope, and claw it out, it had turned completely black! We kept it and it's now part of my mom's scrapbook.
One of my favorite episodes is when Homer goes to the chilly cook off and eats the worlds hottest pepper, runs off into the forest and hallucinates for a night lol
It’s unrealistic.
Spicy food can’t make you hallucinate.
I ate some lunchabeles with nachos in it, can I can say it’s not true. It just makes my nose runny due to the chemicals in the peppers.
And meets a coyote that sounds like Johnny Cash.
@@MinerGameroneinonly try eating a Carolina Reaper pepper and then tell us what you think haha

2:27 that episode where people from some ogranization signed a contract with principal Skinner and installed these food selling machines. The food in them was super toxic and made of...oil or something. Lisa found it out and screamed about this but everyone (including Bart) continued buying which resulted in...this fat and heart attack :)
Thank you for doing the sandwich scene. 😂😂 Hands down one of my favorite scenes in the series.
Haha! Love when you do these! Hope to see you do more 🙂
Hahahaha, "Hey Doc, I like accidentally fell on a light bulb and it like went through my pants. Anyway, it is pretty stuck down there and it's getting hot and the butter is starting to melt."
To answer about why Bart was so huge, that episode was "The Heartbroke Kid" whereSpringfield Elementary had signed a deal to their own vending machine service which included snack and drink with stupidly high sugar count. Of course, Bart became addicted to them real quick thus resulting him becoming obese just after three weeks of this diet.

S12 E18 Trilogy of Error

S10 E4 Treehouse of Horror IX
S10 E6 D'oh-In In the Wind
The episode with fat Bart was the episode where they brought a vending machine into Springfield Elementary
My suggestion for a new VIDEO: "Homemade remedies: working, neutral or harmful?"
The ones I had a touch with:
1) Instead of cool water I use egg white for sunburns and other non-severe burns (and by my standards being burned by a stove, because you were such an idiot you laid your forearms on it in order to rest is still non-severe). Yes, it might be strange to hear, but it helped my whole family, even several generations back.
2) Once I was stung by a wasp and was told by my grandma that I should stick the finger I was stung into a glass of vinegar. My dad additionally told me, that if bee stung me I'd have to dive the stung area in water solution of baking soda.
3) Chicken soup for colds is outdated. Since I live in European countryside I use several things, mainly raspberry compote and gogol mogol (usually raw yolk mixed with sugar, but when I'm sick instead of sugar I add honey and hot milk) and because it's cheaper than previous options I make sandwiches with enough raw garlic to deter any potential girlfr... pardon, disease.
4) For runny nose I stick my head into the bowl, inhale hot water solution of salt and baking soda from a bowl, cover myself with towel and stay like that for 10 minutes or more unless I feel too hot.
5) Maybe not really a remedy meant to take care of the problem by removing, but this one prevents additional complications. When I get bitten by a mosquito, I press down really hard on the bitten area with my fingernail, so instead of VERY irritating itching I get less irritating normal pain, thus I don't have to scratch the area.
6) When I did something to my ankle, that it was neither sprained nor healthy (I saw the difference while physioteurapist fixed it, if it was sprained it'd hurt like hell) after setting it up my dad cut a slice of onion, laid it onto my ankle and bandaged it around, supposedly to prevent inflammation.
Stuff I hadn't touch with:
7) If you had a chance to read some of the historical books with plot (like Henryk Sienkiewicz's (forget about pronouncing it right) "Deluge"), then there is a chance that you'll encounter moldy bread chewed, then spat out and mixed with cobweb as antibiotic (like in the mentioned above title) applied to skin.
8) I've heard a lot about shot of vodka with ground black pepper as good for dealing with colds. I'd like to have it settled for good.
I'd like to add one to that. A remedy for a sore throat. A shot of lemon juice, honey and hot water. Tastes horrible but I find that it works...even though initially it burns like a son of a bitch from the citric acid.
Im new subscriber , but i really enjoy this one...
Thanks and welcome! What would you like to see me react to next?

Love your laugh! It’s so contagious!!
I was confused for a moment when Marge said your turning blue, when he was clearly green, then I realised... yellow and blue make green😂😂😂
1:45- if memory serves, Smithers standing in the clinic was meant to be a reference to the infamous "Richard Gere" story involving a gerbil up his butt.
Dang, is that what the _South Park_ episode where Mr. Slave has the gerbil up his ass?
16 minutes and already so many things wow good job
4:22 - Grampa Simpson was afraid he "might explode," because Homer refused to allow him a restroom break.
Would like to know the actual dangers of not being able to relieve yourself.both for #1 and #2.
5:40 - It's revealed in one of "the Simpsons" episodes, that the reason Dr. Hibbert is always laughing, is because he suffers from a long term addiction (that he's feeding) to laughing gas. The spouts of uncontrolled laughter are a supposed side-effect.
Would like to hear you discuss the danger of overuse of prescription meds and medical gases.
His laughter is also a way to relieve stress, since before he took it up, he was stressing himself to an early grave. He mentions that to Lisa when she was getting a stress induced ulcer.
Just before my grandma died from cancer, her health started deteriorating. She suffered from kidney failure and had to undergo dialysis multiple times before her death. To pass the time I would go just down the hallway from where the hospital’s renal unit was where there was a little entertainment area with a TV and I would watch TV until her dialysis was over. We tried to get her into hospice care, but before a spot for her became available she passed away…
You should do more archer and Futurama. Keep up the good work doc!
On of my favorite memories was when I was 9 getting my annual shots and check-up. I promised myself that I wouldn't cry because I was old enough not too now. I didn't and I was so proud of myself, my mom took me to ice cream after as well 😋
But now I have a fear of needles. I still haven't cried but I almost had a panic attack when I got my blood drawn 😅
Here's a tip. Look away. I don't have a fear of needles or blood but I always do that when getting a shot or having my blood drawn. I find it lessens the pain. Just look around the room and read the posters they usually have up or something to distract yourself. Hope that helps.
Yes, Dangle for the cop graphic. I knew Dr. Jordan had good taste
I love the scene in Dr. Nick's clinic, cos I'm sure Smithers' problem was that he also "fell on" something, though we will never know what........ :P

I keep rewatching these clips. I’m starting to think I may like your reaction to them more than the show lol! You should react to a few Sideshow Bob scenes, if you know who he is. The don’t show him often because he’s played by Kelsey Grammar, and his only obligation is to kill Bart. There are medical scenes with him though. For instance, him changing his own dna, or removing his own face if you’d like to check them out!

Dialysis ranges from once a week to everyday. Normally 3x a week ( misspoke there)
3:45 Смех продлевает жизнь🤣🤣🤣
Обожаю смеяться вместе с доктором!
6:56 So, back when I was on dialysis, there was a guy who was in the same unit as me (he was on mornings, I was on afternoons, so we'd occasionally see each other while he was waitng for transport home) who had been on dialysis for about 40 years when he passed away.
You should do Torchwood: Miracle Day!
All death is suspended, so hospitals have to change their procedures and you see some pretty bizarre injuries where the person in real life would not have survived
2:10 - 2:25, waiting in a ER once I almost ended up leaving twice, before a doctor finally saw me.
For reference we went in there there was maybe 5--8 other people waiting ahead of me, one person came in and was rushed in behind which was understandable, but another like 4--6 people came in to wait and all of them got seen before me, I was about ready to leave when I finally got called up by the nurses,
then the second time I almost left was because the doctor was taking their sweet time, like by this point barring the person who got rushed in, there was maybe one other patient left, I would have been fine if it was you know a busy night (it wasn't), but I went in waited for like 3-4 hours and was the very last one to get seen despite being the 6-9th that arrived, and even then I was the very last one to leave (again barring the one rushed in).
As for why I went in, I had a really bad pain in the corner of my eye and I was unable to even go to sleep and constantly in extreme pain because of it.
Not as bad as a incident from when I was a kid, I was bit in the head by a dog, and the hospital my parents took me to, would not see me, like I got no professional medical attention even though a like 6 year old had just been bitten IN THE HEAD by a dog, I still have a scar on the inside of my mouth from that bite since we pretty much just had to put a Band-Aid on it and call it that,
both of these hospitals are in the city I live in, and I'm honestly convinced that, they'd rather see you once your already in the morgue then while your still alive, like I've got issues that I should get checked out (like sometimes I can't even stand up on my own), that I just don't since in the time I have to wait on a doctor, I could probably fix it myself despite having 0 medical training, I have that little confidence in the competency of a lot of the doctors in the city I live in.
I love these reactions!
God your video output is really good. How do you have time to do your doctor-ing?
Tell me about it. As an ER doctor, shifts are usually 8-10 hours long, so I’ll film before or after a shift.
8:13 - I opened my lollipop the exact same time when the video showed Homer like this and I had to double check if I'm seeing right. Sure enough my lollipop isn't much lighter than Homer's skin in this scene.
6:11
Mask up Dr. Hibbert!!!!
The doctor yelling “Welcome to hell” lmao sill relevant today 😂
I have a general doctor question. Idk if its the same thing for all doctorates but do you have to write a thesis paper or discover some new medical thing to get your phd?
The Simpsons is just such a great show
One of my favorite medical moments in the Simpsons was when Homer's taste buds got damaged to the point when he became hypersensitive and towards any flavor. Especially with lemon. It was so sour that his entire face puckered up and got sucked into his mouth.

I was definitely not expecting the random Season9 Eureka screaming on the top right lol
My grandparents and I just got through watching the show ER, I was wondering if you'd wanna review it at some point for a video? It's fine if not because it's a LONG series and it got pretty bad after season 11, but it's a really great series and I was wondering if there are any inaccurate depictions of certain medical situations and whatnot.
Your laugh is contagious
Ngl the background makes me want to go "hey all, Scott here"
One of the things about Dr. Hibbert is that he yas a tendency to laugh at inappropriate times, like in this instance when Abe Simpson's kidneys blew out.
