can u make a video about that one episode of Black Mirror called 'Black Museum'. Theres a story within the episode called 'Pain Speedball' where a surgeon gets an implant to feel what the patients are feeling and them he gets addicted to the pain & whatnot. Crazy episode and some crazy medical scenes
Being shocked at Dr. Nick's bedside manner is like being shocked at a zombies lack of table etiquette.... Another great video Doc, hope you keep them coming.
"Skateboard injury!" Yeah, there's a reason why Tony Hawk was skating at 50 and onward. It's because he wears a helmet and pads. If you watch any skate fail compilation, I can almost guarantee that everyone in the video isn't wearing a helmet. I've seen so many fails where people slam the back of their head on the pavement so hard it bleeds all over the place.
A few months ago I caused a car accident and a man attempted to sue me for 10 million dollars because he got a doctor to say that he would suffer "chronic neck pain" for the rest of his life, this despite the fact his car was barely side swiped. Fortunately my car insurance company settled it out of court and so I won't be in debt for the rest of my life to some scum bag.
My friend was in a car accident. Someone sideswiped him at a stoplight. He had the right of way (he was the only one at the intersection) and as he was pulling up to turn someone hit him on his side tire. The insurance company was yelling at him to be careful and not the idiot who hit him. He was being careful. He can't anticipate the actions of someone who wasn't there as he was turning. He said he felt alittle sore but nothing serious.
Anesthesia awareness has to be the most scary thing ever. Rare, but it does happen. THERE'S a book that I think has gone out of print so it may be hard to find, called Silenced Screams. It's written by a woman who experienced this nightmare herself. The trauma it left her with is just downright unimaginably horrifying. I have not had the chance to read it yet as my print copy hasn't been scanned, but it's on my to-do list.
No Sleep Paralysis is. Imagine what you said but at home and at random. Mine was never severe enough to warrent medical attention but now it mellowed out and is much more infrequent. When it was full force I always had trouble sleeping cause I'd "wake up" paralyzed and hallucinate shadowy figures. It's the worst and was only amplyfied cause I have nichtophobia and claustrophobia.
6:00 Homer was "too smart" after that crayon removed and he want gonna be stupid again. That was Lisa's crayon. Marge said "that crayon could be anywhere", then Homer jump inside (through window) and said "who wants lottery tickets?" Marge: "Okay, it's in your father's brain".
On the skateboard clip, I actually crashed a bicycle going downhill without a helmet and knocked myself out, after learning I had a mild concussion, the doctor said “You’re extremely lucky that you didn’t have any worse damage. Now We’re gonna get you out shortly. I mean this in the nicest way, I hope I never see you in here again.” No joke
4:56 Oh my, you just refreshed my memory from when I was about 10 years old maybe, I got head injury and I vaguely remember lying on desk with sheet over my eyes, or not seeing and feeling anything, but being conscious while doctor was sewing stitches.

At the start of that one it was found he had multiple 'up his nose' and into his brain as a kid. (I think he fell while sticking them up his nose, ramming them up there) getting them removed made him smart, it became an issue, he went to the dr asking to put it back in his brain to dumb him down again, which is where the clip started

There's was this one time when I got my wisdom teeth pulled, the oral surgeon actually had to stop the procedure and turned the gas down, but not off, so that I would wake up, but I was still under the effects of various other numbing agents. He did this because I was moaning so loud in my unconscious state that I was scaring a small child in the waiting room. The surgeon then said "we're going to continue the surgery, but we're not going to knock you out with the gas again. Please try not to scream."
@5:01, like I require more anesthetic than normal if I have to be put out: both because I'm a redhead AND based on past experience, it's HIGHLY recommended to put me out for surgery when needed. For example, I was NOT a happy camper when I woke up I'm the middle of the night after my jaw had to be reset after an accident: I ACTUALLY removed my HR monitor and IV and tried to escape from the hospital. I had to be sedated to get me to go back to sleep. Another time, I had to get my wisdom teeth removed after they came in sideways. I had quite the potty mouth during post-op. However, I made sure to say "you MIGHT wanna use more anesthetic, like 29% more". I had to have robotic surgery on my right kidney to repair a congenital defect: surgery and post-op both went PERFECTLY.
I had day surgery once to get rid of an infected sinus, hours after the surgery during the night the nurse saw l was still awak, so she put something in IV drip to make me sleep, but when she came back she said "You're still awake? It should put you to sleep" 🤣 Guess my brain just didn't wanna shut off and go to sleep.

Oh wow, it's been my dream to see a real doctor react to the hilarious malpractices of Dr Nick, with his iconic: "Hi Everybody!" wow, that's scary. i've gone under twice in my life and can't imagine what if something like that went wrong, or if i woke up in the middle of it and could feel everything. .
My friend and I have crohns and she's needed surgery before and she is what you described she can't sleep or feel anything or move while under anesthesia. They were removing a feeding tube from her nose and she was un anesthesia but couldn't move as she watched them pulling out the tube.
I am immune to lidocaine and marcaine I guess. Had a thrombosed lacersted and I was able to tell where they were cutting and pressing able 2 more injection. Shocked the heck out of the residents cutting on me. 😄. 😂😂
On "Seinfeld" Kramer and Seinfeld were watching a surgery and both of them were sitting on a balcony of sorts and Kramer was eating a mint candy. He dropped one of candies by accident and it landed in the guy's stomach. He nearly killed the guy with the candy.
my grandma had so many surgeries she became allergic to almost every painkiller and most of the anesthesia. there is a few King of the hill episodes such as the one where bobby gets gout.

When he said look at that dark spot I was like "you mean the nasal cavity?" 😆
turning yourself yellow with that impression was really good
My friend and I have crohns and she's needed surgery before and she is what you described she can't sleep or feel anything or move while under anesthesia. They were removing a feeding tube from her nose and she was un anesthesia but couldn't move as she watched them pulling out the tube.
Always look forward to these videos
Thank you!! What would you like to see me react to next on my channel?
@@DoctorER Have you ever watched the show Hannibal? Lots of gnarly scenes that you might find interesting
I am immune to lidocaine and marcaine I guess. Had a thrombosed lacersted and I was able to tell where they were cutting and pressing able 2 more injection. Shocked the heck out of the residents cutting on me. 😄. 😂😂
The fact about the brain changing as we get older was neat and makes sense thanks for the new knowledge
On "Seinfeld" Kramer and Seinfeld were watching a surgery and both of them were sitting on a balcony of sorts and Kramer was eating a mint candy. He dropped one of candies by accident and it landed in the guy's stomach. He nearly killed the guy with the candy.
Awesome! Thanks for doing more Dr. Nick reactions! Love that guy! :D
"Surgical 2x4" is one of my favorite things from the Simpsons, I don't know why. It just is.
Footballer and doctor, a true pro Harry Kane
my grandma had so many surgeries she became allergic to almost every painkiller and most of the anesthesia.

Jack Napiers Joker translation in Batman 1989

I got that "hurricane spray" you mentioned when I was getting my gastroscopy
Well, you see, when there's a medical inaccuracy in these cartoons, it's because a wizard did it
Gonna love this one
Glad you liked this Simpsons reaction! What was your favorite scene?
Hey Dr. Wagner, since you have reached the 100 k, would you do a personal Q&A? :D
You seem like a interesting person, beside the fact, that you're an ER Doctor.
Love the way you bring up the information in your videos ☺
(Sorry for any grammar mistakes, english is not my first language)
Yay new content!
I love this channel. Informative and hilarious. Dr Wagner: you can get a shoe that's a little higher; shows a shoe that's massively higher 😂
I would love to see you react to the injuries in baki. There is a lot to talk about.
What's Baki about?
@@DoctorER this is a manga about fighting with inhuman persons who approximately have 1000L of blood in their body
Love your vids!
I like the way you say how you’re supposed to approach the way to talk someone cause when my dad went to the hospital, the lady immediately told him he had stage four bone cancer but didnt know anything about him or what was going on since he had just arrived
Wow great the doctor I speak Spanish but the UA-cam subtitles help me to enjoy your content and I am writing this through the google translator
Awesome!
Homer's Bypass is one of my favorite episodes
Please react to star trek, more specifically the original series episode "journey to Babel" the next generation episode "ethics" and the deep space nine episodes "life support" and "the quickening". Also any episode of voyager where the doctor appears
