    Good info mate, thx. I changed frame and wheels on this skate - comparing the original frame with endless frame I must say the RB frame is way too soft. So the product is overpriced imho it should include a high standard frame. without limiting us to 80mm only. The overall "footfeel" (Is that a word?) is great.

    I just bought them about two weeks ago, they are my first pair of skates ever and in my opinion as a beginner everything about them feels and looks pro, only cons that I found is that scratch marks once they’re there they really stand out and that’s about it

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому +1

      Scratches are definitely annoying, though they will likely join a family of future scratches :). For beginners I think it is a very approachable hard boot, I hope you continue to enjoy them.

    Shop staff recommend me these because of my (slightly) wide feet. Seems to fit well with my feet size and it’s really comfortable. I remove the thicker insole for the weaker ones until I break into them, then I’ll probably use the thicker soles.

      Over time the liner should 'mold' and take less internal volume, so that should work well.

    The fit is true to size. I wear size 10 in Adidas and Under Armour. I'm 275 mm. I tried 8-8.5 and it was too tight. 9-9.5 was the better fit and therefore true to size.

    Thanks. will this cuff work for all older/classic RB Twister model? I have a 15+ year old RB Twister but struggling to find a replacement. (Of course will still need to choose the correct size cuff)

      @seriouslyreallyserious  Місяць тому +1

      Not sure on that one. I do not believe the cuff has undergone any major changes for some time. Best chance is to email Rollerblade, last time I had a compatibility question they were super helpful.

      @@seriouslyreallyserious thanks for taking the time to reply. Afraid neither RB support or other retailers have been able to answer that directly. The cuff on new Twisters look totally different from the outside but I've heard like you that technically not much had changed. So i've taken a risk and ordered a new cuff. Let's see if it fits. 🤞

    Thanks for a video on these! Haven't seen too many yet online. I was also considering the 9.0-9.5 US size. My feet are between 27.6-27.8 cm which would make these almost perfect albeit definitely tight at first but was also wondering your foot size. Thanks.

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for that! I measure around 27.8cm and found, after some use, they are really well fitted (US Size 9-9.5.) Definitely try them on carpet if you buy them to ensure fit, but you should find them ideal.

      @@seriouslyreallyserious Thanks for the reply! I am now pretty confident that I can fit in the Twister XTs as I was also able to squeeze into a size 42 Seba Wizard boot with their special Intuition liner (27.0-27.5 cm) and it was tight as hell at first but is now an almost perfect fit.

      From what i can tell, size 9/9.5 US, the width is about 6.5cm or 2.75 inches wide at its widest point. They probably will not cover the entire base of your foot.

    Is there just one mounting hole in the 165 mount? Or are there multiple options?

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому

      The frames have a single slot. So one can't really adjust the longitudinal distance (forward and back,) however one can adjust the transverse distance (left and right.) Due to this, one may also adjust the frames so they are at a diagonal. The boot mounting plates have three holes; it appears only one is threaded and bored. I am unsure of the other holes' function. I have seen some aftermarket modifications that makes use, but otherwise just one mounting hole.

    hi, really a good review, but i want ask you the side.
    i have 263mm feet and i use a rollerblade rb pro with 270mm (9US) and are perfect for me. with this what side i will try?
    i think the 8/8.5us will be too small, but the 9/9.5 maybe too large? thank you

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  Рік тому +1

      apologies for delay. i believe the difference in size is more width than length related, so the Twisters will likely be narrower. If the RB Pro boots treat you well, you likely will not gain much benefit to switch, but that will only come with trying them out.

    Waiting on your review before I pull trigger on these or last years FR1s. Also. I'm a 8.5m/26.5cm us in shoes typically. Comfortable in both a 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe. Do i get the 8/8.5 or 9/9.5

    I ordered mines yesterday (combo twister 110 3WD and the twister XT) I wonder what's the purpose or having vent holes in the liner if the insole has none. Something tells me the insole should have holes too.

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому

      It would probably benefit from matching holes in the insole. So far I have found these to be warm, but that was expected. Since they distribute the pressure so well, I have not had any hot spots or blisters.

    I want to know if these skates are actually lighter in weight than the regular Twister Edge? The original feel like 5-7 lbs, how much lighter are these Rollerblade Twister XT?

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому

      Maybe a few ounces per skate; it is not a huge change like going to a carbon fiber-resin boot, but if you skated them back to back you would likely feel a slight difference.

      have not tried FRs, but they are really good from what others who own them have said. I would do some research on the fit differences, I beleive FR are form fitting, moreso than the twisters. otherwise, go for whichever looks the best.

    Hello, for 300, which are the best that you recommend?

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому

      Depends on what you plan to do. These are great skates - I have my full review up now - but you may find others to be really good:
      - Powerslide Next Core 90: $289
      - Powerslide Imperial One 80: $220
      - Playlife Aztec: $150
      - FR Skates FR2 80: $289
      - FR Skates FR1 80: $199
      -Rollerblade RB Pro X: $219
      -Flying Eagle F6S Falcon: $219
      -Roces 1992: $219
      (All prices in USD as of now from initial search)
      This is not every skate out there that I could recommend, nor have I tried a lot of skates. These all are very good hardboot skates that fill a similar place as the Twister XT. If I had to choose one skate that should work for anybody, I would probably select the RB Pro X, but I am somewhat partial to Rollerblade. Do not forget protection pads, bearing lubricant, etc.

    Would u mind sharing what is the shell size, how much room do you have in a shell (when u place your foot without liner) ?

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому

      The boot and liner are both sized, following the same scheme. Mine are size 9 US, so the liner and boot are size 9-9.5 US or 270-275 mm. So far I find wearing the skate, liner and all, to be quite snug. As for wearing it without a liner - do not skate them like this - there is probably 0.5-0.75 cm of space around the foot. You may find sizing up gives more space, though you will lose a bit of rigidity and control. I say true to size is appropriate.

    • @kokainakralj
      @kokainakralj 2 роки тому

      @@seriouslyreallyserious I am quite experienced skater, so I am looking to size down ;) I am 44 in twister 80s and liner is perfect, but shell has 1cm space. In FR skates I have even more room, like 1.5cm between liner and shell, therefore, I where thinking maybe new twister shell is more snug. Thank you.

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому

      If you mean the Twisters prior to the Edge line, I am unsure of how they compare. I believe compared to the Twister Edge these have slightly more room, though still a snug fit. For a size 44 EU, a 43/44 XT should do well. They come with foot spacers, if you need to tighten the fit.

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому

      HI Deja, I measured the widest section of my foot at about 96 mm; my foot length is about 280mm, and the size US 9/9.5 is ideal (note these are male sizes). My suggestion is if your foot is very wide, perhaps try the RB Pro X; the boot is wider than the Twister, therefore better for wide feet. If you really want the Twister - with a wider foot - size up, and use the footboard sizer if necessary. Remember to try skates out on carpet to ensure fit!

      @@seriouslyreallyserious I think the problem is they manufacture too many. They should keep quantities low and provide no discounts. They were sold out for a while so they made too many this year, and there's a flood of maxxums coming

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому

      It is odd, some distributors are sold out, others not so. I think they should bring back two tiers of Twisters like last year, making these a bit more approachable. I wonder how popular the Maxxums will be; I was thinking of those for the 90mm frame, but I decided against this.

    • @seriouslyreallyserious
      @seriouslyreallyserious  2 роки тому

      I have seen a ton of inline skates being sold used this year; last year the opposite. Definitely a lot of people falling into trend are hopping off. As far as how many were made, that is totally plausible. I wonder if they will do the limited colorways like they have in the past.

    Hello Can I have a BIG help from yall that have the Twister XT!
    I'm from Brazil and I have the opportunity to buy it in the US in 2 weeks from now.
    I'm going to buy it on Amazon and have it delivered to the address that my brother is going, but I'm very worried about the SIZE.
    My feet measure about 27cm both, so the Rollerblade Size Chart suggest me to pick up the 10/10.5
    The problem is that my feet are really WIDE like a pair of flippers hahahhahahah.
    One is 11cm wide and the other is more like 11.3 cm wide
    So I'm worried about buying the suggested size and feel bad beucase of the width...
    I think I am going for the 11/11.5.
    What do you guys think?
