pulled out the minibrute and experimented a bit. all raw sounds, no editing or mixing. should do more modular setups, just a hassle to setup and put away. will probably sample sections for future use.

I have found the Blank SK a bit dissapointing, though it remains a high performing skate. I want to give it more use at the skate park, and with my knee healed up, it feels like it has a chance to wow me. I also succumbed to marketing and bought the Twister SE, though as you will see it is not the standard setup. I find the color very attarctive, though still very tame. This weekend I plan to r...

Hi, thanks for the honest review. I have the same skate. I would suggest using a shoe dryer to get ride of your sweat inside the liner. It's a game changer for me. I skate regularly, once or twice per week, but my liners don't smell bad, even after more than one year of use.
Finally a serious not sponsored review ! Thx for that! I’m just considering buying a new skates, those are right now on sale in a skate shop close by, I’m also thinking about buying twisters on the 110 wheel I sow on you new wideos that you are skating with those with bigger wheel. I’m 2m high used to play hockey in the past so I can skate quiet solid- usually im skating thru the city or next to the sea not doing a lot of crazy jumps and evolutions- which weelsize would you recommend ?
80s can do anything like tricks, speed, commute. 110s are better for speed and cruising, less versatile for tricks. I enjoy they require less maintenance (12 bearings instead of 16) and the bearings are better protected against dirt or moisture since they are taller.
For you I would go 110.
Is this skate good for wide feet? I have flat feet too
I would say they lend to the narrower side. Try the RB Pro X or Lightning, those should be wider. Flat feet should work in any boot, though mind the cushioning.
I just got mine, I have pretty wide feet (at least when I need regular shoes), and tbh, I feel they feel little bit to wide (they touch my feet on both sides, but I don't feel enough support - I mean maybe I'm complaining about nothing as I had looooooong break from rollers, so maybe after some time I will think they are perfect:) but now, I feel the pressure on sides is to little (like i would prefer a bit more support,) however my feet don't move to sides, I can easily do anything I can on ice skates (easy slaloms etc). That being said, I think they might be pretty nice for a wide feet:) - plus if they would feel just a bit to narrow, the inside liner will probably adjust to your feet after 10-30 km of riding:))
Thanks. will this cuff work for all older/classic RB Twister model? I have a 15+ year old RB Twister but struggling to find a replacement. (Of course will still need to choose the correct size cuff)
Not sure on that one. I do not believe the cuff has undergone any major changes for some time. Best chance is to email Rollerblade, last time I had a compatibility question they were super helpful.
@@seriouslyreallyserious thanks for taking the time to reply. Afraid neither RB support or other retailers have been able to answer that directly. The cuff on new Twisters look totally different from the outside but I've heard like you that technically not much had changed. So i've taken a risk and ordered a new cuff. Let's see if it fits. 🤞
Let us know if that works out. Best of luck!
If I wear a 10.5 in men's shoes should I get my rollerblades in 11 or 10?
For me I am a 9.5 to 10 in shoes (US Size) and ordered 9-9.5 for Rollerblade. Unless you like thick socks, go with size 10.
The Miinibrute doesn't come alive until you do some patching with the cables and utilize the sequencer modulation... a lot.
Agreed. It gets really gritty when you do so. Wanted some basic chords as I wasn’t feeling too well. More module stuff to come, though!
How much the liner became loose over time, I mean if your foot is very loose due to the loss of density of the foam. Do you recommend buying a size smaller than usual?
Most of the padding is in the ankle area; I believe because it does not stay compressed for long, it has maintained most of its loft/thickness. I do not think sizing down is a good idea as these are somewhat slim already, your foot may start to cramp. In actuality I have recently found the boot may be too short. If you find a boot is too loose, consider using padded socks or an indoor to adjust fit. These come with a footbed insert which reduces internal volume (I.e. tighter fit). Another option is to use padded socks, though I prefer I unpadded myself.
Are the wheels good for indoors /outdoor. What bearings do you have them paired with. If i would get a different pair of wheels from what you had on yours would be a good pair of wheels you recommend for indoor / outdoor.
Hi! Wheels are Rollerblade Hydrogen. Used once indoors, it may grip a lot but is suitable. Going to something harder like the Mushroom Blading or Powerslide Spinners (87a and higher) will be a bit better indoors. I think the bearings are Black Panther Ceramics, they are pretty good. Rains a lot here so it helps - alongside using Gel Lubricant - keep the ball bearings from corroding. They are not necessary, as my other skates have normal CrMo Steel Ball bearings and are just fine.
Fun times. Keep movin n groovin!
More to come, many thanks!
Lovely work on this piece !

Just bought it same size Love them first use no pain! Just scritch sound from the brand new liner :)
Where you see the scratches or hear squeaking, a small amount of wax should mitigate further problems; just make sure to not add too much or anything liquid.
@@seriouslyreallyserious Thx for the tips! I think it'll disappear it's just because it's a new liner had the same things in my powerslide but i 'll use it if the problem persist ;)
I caught some of your rollerblade content but I’m glad this popped up in my feed, jamminggg
Much appreciated. I am looking to diversify the content to show my interests, with more practical skate videos to come.
Do You think buying XT is worth it?? I recently bought it and saw your video after that.
I skate with it pretty much everyday. If you are an urban skater, it should suit you well. With that said, once you get it, try them on with the socks you skate with, on carpet, after running in place for two minutes. That will tell you if they fit comfortably. If they fit, then you are good. Let me know if you need any further help. Skate on!
@@seriouslyreallyserious ty very much!
Thanks for that, it made it clear for me that my oxelo mf500 boot is way cheaper, robust and performing than XT on my endless 90. I have taken out XT from my buy list and will focus in CJ2 prime

@@seriouslyreallyserious U 2 mate cheers
The zetrablade is a great skate for beginners or people like me I’m in my 50’s and I skate for exercise not doing anything crazy I still consider myself a beginner I don’t even skate backwards.
Soft boots are great for exactly those users. Great to hear you are skating, it is very versatile due to the low impact compared to other sports. Surprisingly there are many seasoned skaters doing amazing things in soft boots, hard boots are just a luxury. Skate on!
just a tip: either record voice separately at home for no noise or u can record voice as u make the video but get better mic for noise
Two years ago at the same time I bought a camera, I bought a lavalier mic and recorder. I am just lazy. I do appreciate the input, maybe I’ll put some more effort into this stuff. Hope it was still helpful for you.
how is this not viral ?
Not algorithm worthy, unless?
What type of wheels do you have? I like that short fat wheel
Here I am using 80mm Hydrogen wheels. They are a bit worn down here, around 75mm or so.
I see you went to town with them doing crazy tricks, ledges maybe even? Mines look almost as new after a year. I only do slalom / wizard / figure / hockey drills with rockered frames. Do you live near the ocean also? Mines aren't rusted at all.
Not too many tricks, plenty of falls and scrapes. Though the occasional jump and spins do put some wear on them. I do live near the coast, however I would blame the humidity and the amount my feet sweat as the main mechanism. Taking the liner out form the boot after a session is the best strategy.
@@seriouslyreallyserious Thank you for the extra details. Yeah, near the ocean, I mean those inlets and rivets are probably made out of tin so they would rust quite fast. Humidity near the coast is also much higher than where I live here in central EU. It can be real cold and dry, as low as 20% and mostly 30% and occasional 50% or 60% in some rainy days in summer. I'm still careful not to leave anything inside after a session. If I leave a pair of gloves or booties it will be game over in terms of smell lol. I used mines on the ice the whole winter with some "Transformer freestyle ice blades". Absolutely loved them.
Is that a ice skate conversion? That sounds pretty cool.
@@seriouslyreallyserious Yeah those are blades you can use on inline skates. So far I didn't find anything you cannot do compared to normal hockey skates. Perhaps you can lean more on hockey skates but I never needed to go that far.
Real review, thanks mate
Thank you!
Just bought these! Love em but the bottom of my heels go numb after 30-45 minutes. Hopefully that gets better.
That is interesting. Some tips to relieve foot pain: Do a warm up skate, then take a break with your skates off for a few minutes. Try wearing thinner cushion/no cushion socks. Start with the cuff strap and ankle strap looser than you think necessary, and tighten after skating a bit. Before, during, and after a skate, massage your feet and ankle. Using a ball on the bottom is also great.
@@seriouslyreallyseriousthanks for the tips! I’ll give these a go!
Me 2 😂, my first in my life!!!
Has it gotten better?

Hi, which Rollerblade among these 2 would you recommend? Crossfire or Twister XT...thanks
Crossfires have a slimmer fit in the foot, less ankle support, and a rockered wheel setup better suited for slalom. I have not tried them personally, but the few folks I know with them say they are good. If you are into tricks, get the Crossfires. Otherwise, the Twisters, or RB Pro X will suit you well.
@@seriouslyreallyserious...thank you so much.
Hi, which Rollerblade among these 2 would you recommend? Crossfire or Twister XT...thanks
Just ordered them ,have today or tomorrow, I got the 8-8.5 & not sure if I shoulda got ur size, what CM is ur foot ?
I measure my foot at about 27.8cm. Wearing a US 9/9.5 seems to work pretty well. One note of concern are the socks one wears; thick socks will use more internal volume than thin socks. I personally use a thin, bottom cushioned sock. I can wear thick all around cushioned socks okay, however it is a little cramped.
@@seriouslyreallyserious Thanx,I got them on now, snug but I think theyll break in good
Would you say this is a more comfortable boot than the FR1?
I have both the FR1 and the twister. I would say they are both comfortable with the FR1 having a bit more room if you have a wider foot@@RayRayNYC
🤮 Exuse me! 🤣
1 year later, do you have additional thoughts? Have you tried the blanks with a big wheel setup? I’m curious how power transfer feels with the Blanks vs Twister (effectively, UFS vs 165).
Felt bad about not replying. Power transfer is about the same as the frame attaches directly to boot. Though it feels a bit sloppy because of how heavy the setup is.
No sweat! Thanks for circling back. I had a similar experience having tried both out too now. UFS boots are heavy, especially Blanks. I got some inexpensive K2 110 frames off Ebay for my Blanks and I loved how much road jitter they absorb, although I am significantly more fatigued big-wheeling in them vs the Twister. The Twister is a weird foot shape though that would squeeze my pinkies so I just stick with the Blanks for both types of skating.
Good info mate, thx. I changed frame and wheels on this skate - comparing the original frame with endless frame I must say the RB frame is way too soft. So the product is overpriced imho it should include a high standard frame. without limiting us to 80mm only. The overall "footfeel" (Is that a word?) is great.
My foot is 270mm in length and widest part is 11cm. I usually have shoe size 43-44, but here I chose 42, which is really tight in the beginning, but you will have much more control over your skates. The Liner will stretch after 20km. I tried 43, but my heel felt a bit loose, so I sized down. I really can't complain after already 100km
Try some wizard skating, a subtle rockered setup. You can choose from a 165 mount or just the UFS frames as it was intended to be. The original wizard frames are just too expensive for someone who might not light it. There are some good ones like NN/Endless/rockin. I tried the 5x80 wheel frame setup and they are great.
Hello Can I have a BIG help from yall that have the Twister XT! I'm from Brazil and I have the opportunity to buy it in the US in 2 weeks from now. I'm going to buy it on Amazon and have it delivered to the address that my brother is going, but I'm very worried about the SIZE. My feet measure about 27cm both, so the Rollerblade Size Chart suggest me to pick up the 10/10.5 The problem is that my feet are really WIDE like a pair of flippers hahahhahahah. One is 11cm wide and the other is more like 11.3 cm wide So I'm worried about buying the suggested size and feel bad beucase of the width... I think I am going for the 11/11.5. What do you guys think?
Extremely sore in the inside ankles due to the way they sewed the tissues tho
Same! Did you figure out a solution? Otherwise i love them!
Cmon man you swear to god you dont feel it sore asf in the inside ankles ?
I bought these and used for 1 month riding 1 hour per day, my ankles where in great pain after 5 days, I really tried to like it but in the end I bought a FR1 boot and the pain was gone.
@@marcelinoplanas9397 Good to know, bro. I know some people that couldn't stand the pain, me included. I tried to figure it out, why was it so uncomfortable?? Then I realized the real problem was that they simply sewed/connected the tissues of the boot right where the ankles are. It created a really harsh/hard hotspot. Then I tried to sew with basic stitches a softer tissue over it and it worked 100%, ridiculously comfortable. If you ever met someone in need this advice might save their rollers :D peace
@@kozmiczz thanks! Good to know that it can be fixed!
Maybe a tripod or selfie stick? You gave us 13+ minutes of crotch shot. 😂

Those little metal rings are frame bosses. Just saw a solution to loose bearings from a speed skater yesterday. Lay a strip, two, or three of cello tape thru your wheel until the bearings fit snuggly. If you want to try rockered frames there are cheaper options than Wizard from Endless, NN, Rockin', and Roka. And it seems like there are new brands coming online every month. I think the budget entry is the K2 R100 - 4x100mm with adjustable rockering. Or during rotation, flip your wheels without changing position to develop a natural rocker (maybe first and last if you have a particularly strong toe flick which causes faster wheel 1 wear).
Some good advice, they always fall out when I work on them. I may try that out, though I usually wait too long to rotate so maybe if I am more frequent that shold help. I find sometimes the falt setup sticks too much for twirls, so that should help a bit.
hi, really a good review, but i want ask you the side. i have 263mm feet and i use a rollerblade rb pro with 270mm (9US) and are perfect for me. with this what side i will try? i think the 8/8.5us will be too small, but the 9/9.5 maybe too large? thank you
apologies for delay. i believe the difference in size is more width than length related, so the Twisters will likely be narrower. If the RB Pro boots treat you well, you likely will not gain much benefit to switch, but that will only come with trying them out.
Good review, would be nice to measure how wide the insole is for future review.
From what i can tell, size 9/9.5 US, the width is about 6.5cm or 2.75 inches wide at its widest point. They probably will not cover the entire base of your foot.
Dude, how tight are you tightening the cuff buckle?
since then i have loosened them at the start of the session and tighten as i go, that works well for me.
What would you recommend… this or FR1?
have not tried FRs, but they are really good from what others who own them have said. I would do some research on the fit differences, I beleive FR are form fitting, moreso than the twisters. otherwise, go for whichever looks the best.
How much do these skates weigh in kilograms? pairs US 8
I imagine for size 8 US around 1.8 kilos.
The fit is true to size. I wear size 10 in Adidas and Under Armour. I'm 275 mm. I tried 8-8.5 and it was too tight. 9-9.5 was the better fit and therefore true to size.
Agreed, most will find these true to size unless you have wide feet.
Upload a video of you on a ride
I am working on a video this weekend, stay tuned.
I love my #RollerbladeTwisterXT but i ride my #RollerbladeRB much more ;-)
The RBs are great, you cannot go wrong either way.
Shop staff recommend me these because of my (slightly) wide feet. Seems to fit well with my feet size and it’s really comfortable. I remove the thicker insole for the weaker ones until I break into them, then I’ll probably use the thicker soles.
Over time the liner should 'mold' and take less internal volume, so that should work well.
Very nice setup. :) You'll see they feel a bit more like "wearing trucks" but if you mentally forget about it and skate normally they will respond as good as the XTs with its own quirks, one of them, you need to tighten the cuff a bit more or your ankles will take a beating. 4 to 5th strap notch. (I usually start a 3 cause the front plastics needs to sit for a bit) I just got the 4x80 rockered frame for my XTs and, ooooh man they're like 10 times more maneuverable, night and day, it is crazy but in a good way after you get used to them. A bit unstable mostly when striding and being on the front wheels, you'll notice a wobble but it seems is a self correcting one (it never went out of control even while going as fast as I could). I haven't tried going downhill under a bridge and honestly is a scary proposition. You're gonna notice a noticeable drop in speed. You'll quickly find yourself having fun slaloming and not so much accelerating fast. You can still achieve a good speed and depends on your technique with the new setup but the sprint you get with a flat setup is gone.
I have given these a lot more time and while I still find the heel to be a bit loose I have developed a better method of lacing these so they are comfortable. I have mostly been working on jumps, so once I feel confident I will do some grinds.
hey! if you can help should i get 8/8.5 or 9/9.5 my feet is 26.2cm but my feet are very wide😣
HI Deja, I measured the widest section of my foot at about 96 mm; my foot length is about 280mm, and the size US 9/9.5 is ideal (note these are male sizes). My suggestion is if your foot is very wide, perhaps try the RB Pro X; the boot is wider than the Twister, therefore better for wide feet. If you really want the Twister - with a wider foot - size up, and use the footboard sizer if necessary. Remember to try skates out on carpet to ensure fit!
@@seriouslyreallyserious thankyou so much🥺appreciate the response!!!
3:40 - FRs and SEBAs before them was offering users to cut that part - their cuffs had those marks with a scissor pictogram on them. Could Rollerblade be handled the same way or it's not something you supposed to do here?
I do not have a need for this, and while there is no official information, you likely could trim the top and front of the cuff if you wanted it to be shorter or flex forward, respectively. Worst case, they are available as an accessory. I believe other users of Twisters have done this, perhaps r/rollerblading has some people who can help.
To me is not an issue, you need to learn to push those parts as you close the cuff buckle, these plastic parts offer great support. I think I'm gonna add a bit of wax there so the parts slide easier.
Probably one great thing about the Zetrablade is the fact the frames are inbuilt. So no riveted two piece frame getting lose. These are probably great for cruising and freestyle tricks.
I agree, I skate them when I just want to go around without doing anything intense. They slip on so easily, great for spontaneous skating. Plus, if you happen to share with someone, they are more forgiving in the fit.
