music is not about how fast you can play notes, it's about melody and symbiotic harmony between the music and the solo. I guess a few YT can learn a thing or two listening to Jonathan playing this simple yet amazing melody

Brother that was some sweet, sweet playing. I like Yamaha guitars and, when they release it, I'm planning on purchasing the Pacifica 112V in the gray. But the more I hear the Revstar guitars played I'm liking them more and more. Your friends guitar is a good looking guitar. Sounds good too. Great video and, as always, beautiful playing Jonathan. I admire your fluidity in playing. You make it look so easy and nonchalant. Take care and GOD bless my friend. Stay well.

Never met a bad Yamaha instrument! These are so underrated I feel. Always maintained I would rather have a Yamaha SG than a Gibson Les Paul, and these Revstars look like I might say the same thing about them or the Lower-priced Gibsons. Just as I will always recommend a Pacifica, over a more budget-friendly Squier or Fender Strat. Thank you Jonathan for confirming my bias!!!! Lovely playing as usual, the music you give us is always appreciated.

@@JonIsJustTooLoud FYI, picked up RS502TFMX late yesterday.
What incredible aesthetics! Pictures do not do it justice. Fits a Scandinavian / Japanese modern vibe.
Have not played it, as it shows some fret sprout and likely needs to acclimate. The only odd thing is the tone put feels super loose and wobbly. Seems others have this issue.
Anyway, please thank Darrel, your Yamaha contact, for lending it to you for review. Word of mouth sales are the best.

Great playing and nice that you mention the neck being laminated. Should be tough and has the volute, too. It's too bad that these seem to be all out of stock for the model I'd like. I'll have to keep looking. And no, you can't really split a P90. You could tap it if it was wound in with a tap. But the dry switch is just a high pass tone control. A bass cut, that is. Something that's really useful with the bottom heavy P90's.

I have the 502T, really like it, just wonderful, except for the hum from the single coils. But in the middle position there is no hum, it's were I keep it in the main. My 502T is a keeper, better than the G alternative, so there's no need to spend the big bucks on the G brand when you have the 502T. BTW, you play wonderfully.
