What really pisses me off is that ghosts and nightmare creatures can trigger traps and pressure plates. During the aporkalypse this is infuriating as the ghosts keep stepping on plates and closing the doors. At least you can have nightmare creatures trigger spike traps safely so you can burn them down, so that’s a plus. And no they don’t even need to be hostile, they will always trigger the trap even when invincible.

maybe the palace ruins instead of having the jewled truffle on a pillar make it a drop from this ancient pig golem who has his own large room as an arena and is powered by the truffle sort of like golem from terraria (hire me klei)

You don't need a key...? You just need to get through the poison rainforest, the first Ancient Herald Ruins, find the second Herald Ruin on the island you come out on, blow up secret rooms until you find the calendar and then end the Aporkalypse.
No. Next to nothing actually renews itself in Hamlet and that is by design. Klei wanted Hamlet to be the toughest Don't Starve experience however lots of mechanics are broken within it which makes it not so hard once you gain an understanding of them.
I'm getting back into Hamlet agin, so this is really nice. Ruins were quite often annoying to deal with.
I myself have been enjoying Hamlet more than DST lately. Hence all the Hamlet guides of late as well!

The thing you call egg is probably just the pugalisk burrowing into the ground. Hence the scales on it.
I've always called it an egg cause I thought it an egg of the pugalisk itself.
