Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

this might be a MM challenge where a player gets picked to drive the Sticky Bomb Tank and try to destroy multiple targets at once. might be cool
Unless the targets are stationary they will run into complexity issues
there is a lot of extra complexity in the tank itself, it could be stripped down a lot.
Or a MM they could pick there most *Explosive * creation and battle

The sticky bombs are too close to each other, that's why the vehicle's glitching, and also why you aren't getting a consistent launch for some of them
I think it's because of piston collision with the vehicle itself, not so much of the bombs bumping each other. If that were the case the mountable blocks would be sticking to each other

Well the reason I don't think that them being close to each other is the issue is if that were the case they would stick together and he wouldn't be able to launch them one at a time.

Those collisions are more than likely because of the narrow slits that the pistons extend out of. If those slitls were wider it would increase the wobble. If we are trying to think of a solution, putting wedge peices under the pistons that they can rest on top of might eliminate some of the wobble acting like a guide rail, optionally you could also have something lower on top of the pistons as well to create something like a gun barrel, which might eliminate more of the wobble, aside from that I don't see any other way to improve the grouping of consecutive shots.

I'd really like to see a multiplayer team tank battle, two versus two. One person builds the car part and the other builds the turret, attach them together and try to blast the other team!
I dub thee the Hedgehog Mk. I Heavy Bomb Thrower: the original design
the Hedgehog Mk. II has the upgraded wheels and thrusters
The armament of both vehicles are eight (8) Mk. 1 stick bombs, with an armor layout capable of withstanding a blow from the bombs as well
It took me a month but the problem with them not launching properly might be because of the close proximity to other bombs

i think the issue is how you spaced the bombs in relation to one another, which made the anchors stick to eachother and subsequently create a physics glitch...

Or, if he were to use it in a battle based multiplayer Monday, where they have to build attack vehicles, and he just makes the sticky-deployer
Someone else suggested that as an issue as well, but if that were the case the bombs wouldn't launch at all because they would be stuck together.
I suggested that it might be piston collision with the vehicle during the launch sequence

'Echidna: The Knuckle Cluster'. Obvious Sonic reference in there. This is the ultimate name for this vehicle
I have an idea for a new "spike strip" car
So the car has a detachable rear bumper full of anchor blocks
You can drive in front of an enemy, stick them with the anchor, then detach the bumper. The bumper (Which is now stuck to the front of the enemies' car) could have down-facing pistons with anchors on them, so it sticks to the ground.
Basically, it hits the enemy, and sticks them to the ground, stopping them in their tracks.
"Now let's see, if I press control..." *Accidentally presses self destruct*

I think I speak for every other COD player when I say that I now officially have PTSD of the SYNTAX spamming
An explosion is a one time thing. My 'dart missiles' Contain a mini canon, a logic gate, 3 joints for 180° coverage, anchor thing, and a tailfin for stabilization while falling. When it sticks to a target, it slowly destroys a very large area of the target. The size of the target does not hinder the dart's efficiency. It just takes longer to cut the target in half.
edit: I have also been experimenting with something possibly worse. Instead of a gun or exposives, one of my missile models is just a helicopter engine (activates 5-8 seconds after released) with fancy tailfins (to stear the projectile, so it lands with anchors first and to amplify the effects of the helicopter engine) and anchors. When it is stuck to the target, the target will start spinning out of control. If the target already has helicopter engines built in, the missile is less efficient. The missile is especially good against plane-like flyers, but will likely make stearing difficult for any vehicle except the tank I made, which is almost completely immune to explosions, lava and the complexity limit.

Also, ya had the Spiky Bombs on one side pointed one way and the ones on the other side pointed a different way, so the two sides had different aerodynamic profiles when being launched. Damn cool idea though... might be fun to try out sometime if I could think of a way to put my own spin on it...

Build a ground vehicle that can detach a second vehicle that will act as a sort of land torpedo. Have it automatically accelerate until the dynamite hits something and explodes. Effectively killing everything it touches. Possible or no?

Make a train for the long track map and make vehicles that deploy exploding spike strips on the track to literally "Exploded on its *Tracks* "

Multiplayer monday idea: Mad Max race, with only player built weapons allowed, like spike strips, bombs and the like, no cannons allowed.
You need to find a breakable map and do a man hunt through it like in movies but unlike movies you can actually see how much property damage you caused during the chase :D

the moment when scrapman realizes that each sticky bomb had a different spot on the vehicle. so naturally they aren't going to land on the same spot
The only thing that would make this better is if there were red lights on the bombs that blinked, especially if they blinked progressively faster as it got closer to exploding!

honestly I think it was more amusing watching trailmakers freak out then the actual idea for this video lol - though sticky bombs would be awesome for MM
This was a really cool project, I think it could be improved some by using steering hinges instead of pistons to launch them like mini catapults, because that might make them more consistent. Also, it would be cool to see an extendable magnet system to grab the target car so you hit the same spot every time, then release it before the explosion

Alright, we get it. We get it Scrapman. Next Multiplayer Monday have a destruction derby with only sticky explosives. You happy? You seem to be prepping for the one day when just maybe that might be the event. Well if we ask for it it'll happen, right? So, Sticky-Explosive Destruction Derby next TM MM.
But sticking, ha, to the sticky deployable theme, what about a sticky thruster. Kinda like in Just Cause 4 but you toss a mini thruster with a sensor that detects when it's basically on something and it's covered in anchor blocks and it has a repeating logic block (I can't remember if there is one or if it's just a timer) to fire the mini thruster off every 4 seconds. You put that on someone's car and they'll get yanked around all over. Put multiple on and it'll become un-drivable.

If you move away from the vehicle so it’s not in the build area you can spawn in another build without hitting the complexity limit . This used to work not sure if they have patched it because I haven’t played in a while .
Sticky bomb launchers are easily one of my favorite weapons to build in Trailmakers, so much fun to mess around with
you could put anchors on thrusters and launch them on to other vehicles to control them. So essentially you can override someone vehicle during a race or something
Scrap man you should do an sticky bomb race make an vehicle that shoots sticky bombs to its opponents and you can respawn back i just wanna see the fun and chaos
I know this is an old video, but I'd call it the Jumping Cholla. The bombs remind me of the bits that break off and stick to clothes and skin when you brush against one.

I think the problem is the sideways targeting. If you released from the back onto a car behind you, you'd have more consistent results.
I saw that you needed a parking brake for the hank tank, and I am here to help. If you move the bearings inward (and the shocks) and then put an extra layer of blocks on top of your axle piece, you can put a block on the end of a piston that is controlled by a switch, so that when you flip the switch the piston goes down, and the blocks hit each other, locking the wheels from rolling more than 270 degrees. please at least attempt this.

Scrapman, you should build a small deployable flyer on the top of you nomad vehicle for scout. Might have to do it later when you have more access to metal and stuff.

I'm gonna make a version that can shoot them backwards and sideways. So you can actually aim them.
If you activate the dynamite and then detatch it, the dynamite will still be avtive and explode after detatched, no need for a logic block.
You should call the tank "the hedgebomb" !
And also do a multiplayer monday with sticky bombs
can be used for MM buy having a runner car that has multiple detachable parts and the chase cars have the sticky bombs on them and can respawn.

You create vehicles to battle but the different weapons have to utilize spike strips in some way

Oh, you want your enemies to sense impending doom. Do I sense kan and the others being involved in some sort of battle, where you will use the experience, in the next multiplayer Monday?
I feel like there might be an easier way to do this, if you reconfigure the sticky bomb into a "bomb javelin" and fire it rather than toss it.

Maybe if the launchers were a bit farther apart they might work better because I thing the anchor blocks are interfering with each other as they try and fire
