This song hit so hard, I have no recollection of the rest of the concert, and my jaw had dropped for so long it hurt. This video does not even come close, the sound of 1000s of people screaming with emotion in a classic concert hall with perfect acoustics was breathtaking!

How on earth could you not like this song before Tori sang it?! The song is awe inspiringly beautiful! Just read the lyrics without the music or anyone singing it! The words! Just the words are simply sublime. Patti Smith and The woman from 10, 000 maniacs do it equal justice!
I must have confused very widely reported widespread public sentiment that her style strongly resembles Kate Bush with her actually having been influenced by Kate Bush. My bad.
i think they sound very different, she often get that question in interwievs, she does not seem to like it. They both have their own special genuine creativity, and maybe a little influenced by same artists.
I think they're different too; that's why I am a fan of one and not the other. It is however quite noticeable how many people do think they're quite similar. It's kinda like how all dry red wines taste the same to many of those who are not experienced in dry red wine tasting. They do not have a fine enough resolution to sensorially separate them into fully separate categories - due to inexperience with such nuances.
