To look at something-to really look-is to transform it from a depth to a surface, to make it cold and hard and yet full of life. This sheer plane, collapsed to two dimensions, becomes the unchanging site of limitless potential in the eye's creative, audacious tracings. Here we find the world as it really is: a field, a wave-and ourselves a part of it. This second work in the series concerns Madrid in the hot autumn sun.
