Little Green Hill

Part 1 of "Fields of Vision" for Inštitut .abeceda, which which explores the flat space created by the act of looking. Performed by Sae Lee June 2024 at FESTIVAL III in Bled, Slovenia.
To look at something-to really look-is to transform it from a depth to a surface, to make it cold and hard and yet full of life. This sheer plane, collapsed to two dimensions, becomes the unchanging site of limitless potential in the eye's creative, audacious tracings. Here we find the world as it really is: a field, a wave-and ourselves a part of it. This first work in the series concerns summer starlight upon the Bayreuth Festspielhaus.
