Was thinking the same thing seeing this just goes to show how good life is and how fortunate those of us in the developed world are. I'm an American and most of those in my country are under the misguided idea that the rest of the world lives like we do. They have no idea how hard life is for the average person in many countries.
These boys are happy to have jobs and work hard. The tire appears to be for a tractor and while it is far from “new”, it will probably do the job for very little money. People in the third world from my experience make do with what they can cobble together and manage to get by. It’s difficult for us to grasp this without actually being there.
They are incredibly talented and do all this work with handmade tools and sheer muscle, but I fear them losing an eye or getting injured by not having any safety equipment and like some other comment said I'm so fortunate to be where I am~!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

These are not the guys stealing American jobs, These guys help out the farmers around their community, who without them, would have to buy new tires ( which they can't afford) I doubt these guys are getting rich by any means.

They refurbish what we would call Junk and make the item live to see another round of important work to keep the circle of life going round and round. I salute these guys for being such fine craftsmen~!!! 👍💪🙏
"no safety equipment" you got that one on the nose, brother! I've seen these videos where they're casting things in a hole in the ground or using a broken crankshaft as a ram instead of a hydraulic press. But worst of all is how many metal shops use angle grinders without guards on them. One of those comes apart and the plastic eyewear won't help you.

Definitely pre Bandag..!! I use to work in a re tread shop in the mid 90s, hot as hell with those chambers. I think we started at 4:30 am, to beat the afternoon heat. Very dirty work, Canton, Oh.
This is not retreading. These guys were just putting a reconditioned outer shell on an inner rubber tube. It does not show how to make a worn-out outer shell re-gain its threads on it.
That was a lot of work and three men put time into it. In the U.S., a standard farm tractor rear retread runs from about 70-120 bucks. As stated, that takes time and manpower with materials. Too bad they probably don't make much money on it. These are good hard-working guys and I wish them all the best.

При совке заводов по производству шин было валом а в пакистане только вот такие мини мастерские которые себя почему-то заводами называют. As for worker safety, this video speaks for itself.

That's how I have seen it done, old rubber completely removed and new rubber without thread glued on and then placed in a steam heated mould for the threads to be formed. Much stronger and looks new when complete. What I watched was car and truck tyres as I had a friend working there. Believe you me the rethreading plant is in Africa. I am surprised by backwardness here.
How he went around both sides of that tire at the beginning with a hand knife, and didn't puncture the inner layer - is simply amazing skill.

Первая была лысая, у второй скорее всего было боковое повреждение, в результате которого дальнейшая эксплуатация не возможна.
