0:00 I loooooove this, probably the most memorable track thus far. Hearing that ominous piano playing and creepy zipping/clicking as you descend into the Veils really sets up an extremely tense and dangerous atmosphere, making me feel claustrophobic and like I'm being watched.
This music just captures the dark, twisted nature of the Arakkoa so well, which is a race I found morbidly fascinating all the way back in TBC. Glad to see them getting the full treatment here in WoD as well, and hope future patches and expansions keep them relevant. The storyline was also one of the best, making the outcasts out to be very sympathetic, and their inevitable turn towards nefarious ends all the more tragic.
I already thought of a name .... 'The Terokk jive' :P no seriously it reminds me of strange dark but weird music - it displays the arakkoa as eccentric compared to the rest of us , especially Reshad !
Rathrak the Hallowed Reshad's a fun character to be with, much like Lorewalker Cho was.
'Whats that Percy? Fifty layers of shadow?...PERCIVAL , YOU PUT THAT BACK THIS INSTANT!!' Still makes me laugh
Rathrak the Hallowed Haha, I still laugh at that too and I've been through that zone a few times. XD
YA!! Mega Track
Riding into the Spires with a Raven Lord mount alongside a pet Kaliri has got to be one of the top most awkward RP things you could do to the Arakkoa.
yoshimario40 I can only imagine Anzu's reaction when he sees an adventurer riding a Raven Lord.
+Simon Hellqvist He'd be like "dafuq dude? I'm a mount in your world? I behave like a freaking raptor? I'm a god ffs".
not unless your character happens to be an Allied Race Arakkoa...
...
...
...
...
... *Dear Blizzard: Give us an Arakkoa Allied Race!*
@@0hvist And a neutral allied race at that.
I loved questing here.
2:38 I love this part of the music. It's just so good that it fits in with the race, the place, the everything... I wish I could play as an Arakkoa...
SAME!!!!!
The güiro in the first piece fits it so well, its so uncommon to hear it utilized in orchestras.
I would play in the wee hours of the morning in Spies of Arak and have Delvir Ironfist with me and we would ride in the dark on matching mounts feeling like I was in a mystery novel when this music came on.
A dark wind is blowing.....
the first song xD. Its quirky yet also has some epic and heroic parts. Love to dance in my seat to it when it comes on XD
0:50 ''IT'S A LONG WAY DOWN [SQUAWK]''
From 2:40. Hands down. It's one of best things I heard from long time. So mysterious yet elegant.
Edit. I found name of it. It's called: "Malevolent Prescience B". Enjoy.
i have been looking for this song for AGES. thank you for the name!!
Thanks so much! WoW has some great songs but that might be my favorite.
It's my favorite area, has a music and atmosphere that make me go all night just to watch and listen
14:25 is so damn amazing...
It's just so original... I love it.
Percy!
50 Layers of Shadow. XD
Nasty bird
this is the zone i am most looking forward too
Had the first theme on this lineup not been attributed to the low arakkoa already, I could easily hear it working for a secret agent goblin or something else about as hammy. Hell, they still could work it for a secret agent goblin. I'd like that!
I play as a goblin, mainly. XD
Shadows gather.
...when the raven swallows the day.
Love those sketti birds! And the music. :)
14:25 is the theme to some fantastic Zelda game we never got.
2:37 is this anyone else's favourite part?
jason brody mine too, but i can't find the corresponding /script for macro in-game !!! :O
jason brody I was looking for it and couldn't find it. This is by far my fav soundtrack
jason brody what I came here looking for!
same
The Spires of Arak wins as the best zone in Draenor, hands down.
That last song is amazing.
0:00 is like a tango!
This has a distinct spaghetti western vibe to it.
pBIggZz Huh? Spaghetti western vibe? Like an italian cow-boy?
My favourite part was missing! In Admiral Taylor's garrison there is a piece playing that is an orchestrated version of Chopin's Nocturne No. 7. I've played that piece last year and when I heard ingame I was stunned. Maybe you could add that one?
That music is old, from Burning Crusade. You can hear it here: ua-cam.com/video/mAybwcTcUXY/v-deo.html
Yes, that's the one! Thank you!
2:42 Doomed us all. so greatfull. full of remembers, legion coming soon :D wow hopefully will never die
Am I the only one getting a 007 vibe in the beginning?
If bond had feathers, then ohhhh yeah.
I can definitely hear that though.
The name's Terokk. James Terokk.
Joe Longo "Skrawwk. Do you expect me to talk?"
"No Mr. Terokk. I expect you to die."
That is exactly what I've always thought!
The Arakkoa remind me of the "creature" from The Village.
The track at 2:37 is called Malevolent Prescience, and you can find it by itself here: ua-cam.com/video/HHB31eWjj_8/v-deo.html
Kind of reminds me of music you would hear in a western
Why about the music with the epic choir ?!
I feel so sad with the wasted potential this expansion had. It was the expansion that made me go against all my principles of not wasting any money with subscription based games and buy it Just because of the super hype train we had here seeing all those Classic Warcraft heroes. Plus, I was absolutely stunned on how good the questlines were and how amazingly beautiful the zonas were. Part of me misses WoD and I cant believe its been 9 fucking years ago. God thats sad
What's that music between 9:35 and 10:36? Can you upload it?
0:44
What are those in the foreground in the first picture?
Laser weapons of Arrakoa. Effect of those you can see on the second picture.
63Limar The hairy things walking toward the "camera" are laser weapons? Or are you talking about the things in the background, not the foreground? (Not trying to be a smartass, I'm sincere about this)
Martin Tony oh, i see. Things on the top of the spires are lasers, but humanoids are Arakkoa, you can find them right now in the Terrokar forest, looking almost same, with different clothes and feather colors.
didgeridoo!
You probably meant oboe :)
Do a youtube search for "Doom II OST - Map 23 - Bye Bye American Pie" and compare it to the start of this music clip... Ehum... Who stole music here? :P
+TommyDaGreatest I can't hear any similairites to "American Pie", if you refer to the song by Don McLean and Madonna.
This has nothing to do with the movie / song. It's a song from Doom 2.
+TommyDaGreatest Come on that's a bit of a stretch to say they stole, they sound a tiny bit similar for the first 10 seconds and that's it. Are you for real?
+TommyDaGreatest Curious as to why you would delete such an innocuous comment, but no matter, I am -persnicke- persistent.
Bobby Prince stole 'Them Bones' from Alice and Chains and put it in Doom2, this is more of an inspiration.
+GabrielSparkletits I didn't delete anything. I can't even do it since this is not on my own channel... Gotta check that song out. Maybe three things are involved now :P
Shadows gather.
+Sam Morey The Talon King will guide us.
