Until very recently it always seemed like all mainstream Christian rap really had to offer was mediocre covers so kids could by songs that their parents deemed too dirty by their original artists, terrible parodies, and attempts at ripping off mainstream club and trap rappers without having a clue how to pull it off in a way that preserved all the nuance and appeal of the mainstream or what made club songs fun and enjoyable for mainstream hip hop fans. But now it looks like they're finally getting ready to take it to the next level, and it's about time. Plus have you noticed how Christian rap groups always seemed scared to so much as even mention Jesus in their songs for fear it would out them as not really authentic rap or something, yet now it seems the more they actually do reference religion the better their music is.
