This table arrived well packaged and on time. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!
Wow, this fish-inspired wood recycling project is brilliant! Turning reclaimed wood into a beautiful and unique table is such a clever idea. The design is so creative and the process was really well explained. Definitely a fun and inspiring way to upcycle! 🐟
I doubt I have ever seen anything more crude. Talk about joinery, nails, screws and glue. As for that beautiful finish, it certainly beats 'french polish'.
Nice job on that table. I work in a cabinet shop by the way and if I can offer a bit of helpful advice, near the bottom of those legs if you were to run a piece of wood across to join them together it would strengthen them quite a bit. With them as they are if they were to bear too much weight the strength of them could possibly be compromised. Because they are each only attached with three screws you stand the chance of that table collapsing. The top of the table incidentally is a great idea for a good size chopping block also. I don't know what kind of wood you used but if you were to use a hardwood such as oak it would make a great chopping block.
Literally the most expansive thing they showed was the HVLP sprayer. The rest are diy level equipment such as drill and driver set, planer. The rest of the "fancy" equipment like mitre saw can be replaced with just a circular saw or simply a hand saw. I always see these kind of comments on these kind of videos. Use the information as a guide and replace equipment with what you have.
I like when builders make videos for builders then other people who don't want to become a builder whine and complain that the video wasn't made for them. I don't go to a video game channel then whine about not having hundreds of dollars invested into a console and gaming equipment.
If you notice, the sides of the blocks were drilled, so glue and urethane if that’s what the finish is, would find its way into the holes and act as if it were doweled. I assume.

it's beautiful and unique but i don't think it's that simple :) jmho. nice work and great idea. I think it needs a brace between the two legs, maybe a dowel.
I have seen the hard work and dedication uou jabe put on this table. For skills and demonstration of tools purposes I like it. For practicality,I prefer to buy a ready made one .Well done.
This guy has the best workshop setup ever 👌all u hear is the tools and his chickens and easy clean up blow his wood dust right onto to small peace of lawn water it so it don't blow around and he's good
I like the table top but not a fan of the legs I would have gone coffee table, kids table or made it skinner and fine with entryway table but if course that's if I was selling it for profit I found this video because that's exactly what I had planned on doing with lots of leftovers that need to be used or perhaps tossed I can I my handle so many 2/4 and 2/3 chunks everywhere around here lol thinking if going with a coffee table maybe even a couple end tables but definitely helped give me a little push to see it thru thanks for the video 👍 looks great definitely love the top
Great work! IMHO To take it to the next level I think you should avoid using screws or staples. I am not a carpenter but i see here a lot of impressive artisans who only build with carvings, wedges and glue
You have talent, imagination and heart. That’s what makes you a craftsman..” Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. Some have two. Keep doing what your doing and why your doing it and you will go far..........
I'd suggest spreading the wood glue to cover the whole surface area, the same as you did with the adhesive on the table top. Also, where do I find reclaimed 8/4 lumber in this quantity? :P
If you smear a thin layer of Vaseline type etroleum on that white board you used for glueing up the table top. It will seperate very easily. Nice job as usual.
Woodglut is full of amazing tips. It helped me a lot.

Agreed
Cada uno hace la meza como quiera!!
I thought that in time the mitres would open up?
Certainly needs bracing across the bottom. Pine offcuts so cheap to make, well done.
Complimenti, come sempre un bel lavoro, nella sua semplicita' e' sempre molto funzionale, dallo stile rustico.
I like when they show most of these and most people don't have 10-20 grand of woodworking equipment around lol

Yea ppl forget that no expensive tools needed doesn't mean after they rip wood on tablesaw then run thru the planer...lol
Yeah, ppl forget that everything someone does with a "fancy tool" was done by hand before "fancy tools" existed... 😂@@mariskaaryan7235

Definitely needs some kind of stretcher. Won’t be able to put much weight on it before it collapses.

It's good. If I may, I would suggest spreading the smaller cuts around the table vs one side. Other wise good job.

What stops the expanding tabletop from expanding and breaking the miters apart?
My thoughts as well.
Same.?.?
Maybe not for heavy uses or but weigh on it
Столешница круто! 👍
А вот ножки можно и по другому чуть чуть замутить.
Я бы даже сксзал не можно, а нужно было делать по другому!

Thanks for the inspiration! Will try this in ome of my upcoming projects.
Like table like in children's room but bit bigger so can use it as engineering drawing table.
Next time use butchers paper as a backer, or waxed paper, usually peels right off . If not easy to sand off.
Or, clear wrap or just plan brown paper. Newspaper? I guess any of these would suffice, however, the wax paper works good.
@@robertlangley258 I think the epoxy might soak through newspaper and you could end up glueing everything to the surface/table below.
Im really into industrial and rustic furniture. I think that table looks awesome outside the legs i like it. Good work mate.
Great job, but I think the table legs will go with wear and tear with out a proper support holding it together in the middle.
