It was an entertaining season, fun to watch but I have to admit that after Andor I had a hard time getting back into it. Lots of fun callbacks to Indiana Jones, Alien, and other references, but I would've liked more solid writing that doesn't just stick to Crosshair's own adventures. "Show don't tell" has never been so prominent in Andor, and sometimes I just wish Bad Batch wasn't made for kids, trusting his audience to guess the intricacies of the storytelling rather than always explaining everything. Don't know if Filoni was writing Bad Batch and Ahsoka at the same time in pre-production, but if so, it's a shame. It feels a bit that way. Although i agree - the team did an amazing job with the visuals, the animations, and a big progress in sound design too.
@@0RY0N reading this now, after seeing the completion of Crosshair's arc, I think they had an idea of the bigger picture, and we just didn't see it yet. Season 3 imo was phenomenal, and it ended the show perfectly, besides R1 and Andor, this was by far the best new Star Wars content we've gotten in a very long time.
this is why animation is typically more appealing for stars wars for me. Nothing looks out of place and it just all works. With this sense of scale and possibility in animation, especially how good it looks now, Disney + needs to start making animated star wars films or short stories. It would be awesome. A clones perspective of the battle of geonosis where they bump into Cut before his LAAT crashes. The Ventress and Boba cancelled episodes could be 40 minute shorts like this style.
@@0RY0N Yes, and the Son of Dathomir Arc as well. Actually, part of me wishes they'd retcon the Dark Disciple book, but only cause I wish there was more done with Ventress.
I’ve been rewatching the 2nd season recently, and I’ve been able to take more time to appreciate the visuals. It’s strange… on a second watch I found that I didn’t mind the writing. Each episode adds to the plot and characters, there is always something happening and in my opinion that’s the definition of good pacing.
This show has been on a whole other level from a technical perspective. The visuals you show here, but also the music and animation is just outstanding. My favourite comparison was seeing the capital city in Ryloth from s1 of CW and s1 of Bad Batch to awe in how far animation has come. S2 kept this going by giving us even more absolutely stunning visuals - well done with the video!

Beginning of season 2: The imperial military is still mostly composed of clones End of season 2: There are no clones. The stormtroopers are the entire military.
I know this shot may never happen but personally I’d love to see in the next season a scene where a bunch of clones form like a mass protest on Coruscant to argue with the people for their rights, but then Storm trooper break up the protest and we just see the “heroes” of the clone wars see what they all fought for be truly evil and that starts the proper clone rebellion. Sounds cool to me but idk.
What a beautiful season! Even though Bad Batch doesn't even come close to Clone Wars for me, the animation is just so much better here. I like how they mixed the Rebels animation style with The Clone Wars. Very talented crew and I cannot wait for season 3!
Did season 2 alrdy end like wtf? Last episode gave me the impression they made more but I guess season 3 will start with what was supposed to be last episode of season 2 im sure.
Think what you want about the writing of the show, but the visuals and animations are out of this world. Good job showing that in this video👏🏻

Even though it might not be a high bar I think TBB has the best writing of any of the recent shows besides Andor obviously.

Did you miss an episode? Season 2 ended on a sort of cliffhanger so maybe that's what has got you confused
