Seen him last week in beautiful Nottingham. I've always made plans to see them but never did since 96. I travelled from Ireland to see OCS. Really did not let me down. Thank you OCS for all the memories:)))
@@gerardpaulbyrne48 OCS are on tour in December - Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Newcastle. Hopefully you can catch a flight over to one of those for the full sets!
@@yeahbuddy4712 it is- must have had a hard time of it. I look a lot older than I did in the 90’s too unsurprisingly ; but he doesn’t look like he is looking after himself. I wish him well.
Was at a Paul Weller gig last night, Steve was playing, he was fantastic and i was lucky enough to be standing right in front of him, couldn't take my eyes off him playing
I know you shouldn't wish your life away but I wish I could've been born ten years earlier. Then I would've been 18 for Moseley Shoals instead of 8 😅 and while we're at it that's ten years less of today's corona and bent politics shite I would've had to deal with so fuck it in fact I wish I was born twenty years earlier lmao 😅
You are still the absolute bollox....age will never make these tunes "past it".... Classics are and will always be just that......Thank you all so much
In 2016 they did some dates playing the whole Moseley Shoals album for its 20th anniversary. That's one of my biggest "why didn't you just get tickets and go you weapon" regret moments music-wise. 😥
Steve lent me a couple of his guitars to record with years ago when we rehearsed in the same studio in Kings Heath, Birmingham. One was a 12 string Rickenbacker, sounded like god but played like a dog, and the other was the acoustic he’s playing here or one very similar. Astounding guitar - played itself. Nice guy and a great guitarist. Simon, on the other hand, suggested I call my then new band Big Bollocks. I didn’t.
wow, that was fooooookin amazing. mind blowing stuff , one of my forgotten favourite bands ever, are they back ?????? cos if they are I wanna see them, the singer his voice is so strong but he looks un recognizable amazing .
@@iancolley3791 Thank you, maybe if they come to North West I will see them. I seen them a few times back in the day. Not a ground breaking band but very entertaining.
Tbh some of the lines are almost fast flow raps. I know the words but when it comes on the radio (fuck Sky and Virgin it's all about Absolute 😀) I can easily sing the wrong bits in the wrong places "Like a King who stalks the wings and shoots a dove and frees an eagle instead" "Like a King who stalks the wings and shoots the moon and the stars and his double" Those bits always trip me up lmao 😅
Whenever I see people that have written the songs read their own lyrics I think " do your homework ". All the great bands Beatles The Who Zeppelin the Stones- no lyric sheets.
Must be a nice throw back for Chris too - wasn't this what guests walked out to on TFI Friday? Or..... has teen and young adult life in the 90's..... ahem...... ☺ completely fuc☆Ed my brain and memory? 😂 😂 😂
love this version & great band but .. is the lead singer on something or had a few 🍺 looks outta it to me ? u'd think after 20 odd years he'd not need to look at the songsheet to know the words 🤔
Same old MOR dogs doings... like Chris Evans ... so 25 years ago...it's so out of date ..the river is running red mate cause the audience have done the wrists ...so.boring
Simon has never lost an ounce of his voice - still sounds class 25 years later

Bring back the 90's
Steve Cradock is an absolute wizard on the guitar.
Legend
That Jim Davison's got a great voice tbf
Oof😁
Exactly who I thought it was when I first saw it 🤣
The problem is I now expect him to sing doing Jim’s ‘Chalkie’ accent which is all kinds of wrong.
Can't be the original OCS singer....Shirley ???

A masterclass in performance. Craddocks guitar arrangement is ridiculously good.
At the risk of sounding like someone saying, 'water is wet', Steve Craddock is a fantastic guitarist!
He’s why I play guitar

OCS - what a band, major part of my life growing up, smoking weed, driving my 1.1 Fiesta and flares and adidas!

Have lovely memories of this tune. This song drove the Mod revival in the early 90s. Awesome Band🎉
Early 90s? Lol
Ocean Colour Scene… wow! A beat literally not missed after 25 years! Amazing 👌🏾
A true real British band sooo underrated bring back music please!xxx

TFI Friday coming full circle here.
Chris Evens at Virgin. Thank you. You keep bringing the goods. And this song... Amazing memories made even better.
Saw them play the Irish Centre in Birmingham back in the day. Fantastic gig and also the loudest one i’ve been to. 🙂
That was incredible, as always! A major highlight of TFI every week for me, that's saying something!

One of the best songs of that era, if not the best. Simon, certainly ate all the pies though. He was a handsome younger fella.
Ricky from Eastenders has put on a bit of timber but can belt out a good tune.
Who knew Mike brewer from wheeler dealers could belt out a tune
He should stick with cars.
Simon le Bon's let himself go

Les Dennis is great on guitar
Isn’t Simon on wheeler dealers
At first glance, I thought that was Jim Davidson on vocals 😂
