- We definitely love our TWs, but there are times when we need something a little bigger for long trips that might include some highway. So we spent the winter searching for the right combination of size, power, affordability, and "reachability" for a 5'0" girl.
Congratulations on the new bike!!! Enjoy!!!
Congratulations. I'm a 5'4" woman in my 50s now, and bought one of the first X-300s in 2017. From experience, I can say after 11,000+ miles, it's still fantastic! ... well, except for the seat, but that's subjective... 😆 A sheepskin and frequent stops help. ALSO - Changing the front sprocket to 15t was the best road-worthy decision I made for this bike. The first two gears are actually useful, the RPM below 8000 will stay in the eco mode up to 65-70MPH, and the gas mileage is just a tiny bit better. That one change made all the difference in the world handling on the interstate without sacrificing anything off-road. Since I'm 90% road now, I finally bought the T-Rex lowering kit. It's really helped in stop&go traffic, but I'm extra careful when going over curbs now.
Hope you enjoy the heck out of your bike! They've made a lot of upgrades since 2017, so you'll have a better experience right out the gate. Have fun 😄
amazingly light - miles of smiles!

Hi Torry!
@@CrossAdventuring hope you guys have a Great season!
How do the Tdubs feel about it?
We have a 2017 300 all setup for this kind of riding it's been on the TAT BDRs and most of the dirt roads in PA.. 3K take it away...
We'll put the word out! I (Mike) think it would be fun to put a lift on one of these and ride it like an enduro.
@@CrossAdventuring We're here in PA this bike would be the bike to do it It has the Hyperpro Suspension front and rear and TKC80 on it
