I think all they needs to do is work on their mechanical aim. The fundamentals are mostly there

Although their reaction speed is a little slow, I must agree I had people far worse then this in high plat, I LOVE OW competitive system
Her aim isn’t bad for sure but there’s more to it than that. Her positioning wasn’t the best for sure and sometimes you could tell she was getting lost or panicking. Overall though I may agree with her being higher than bronze. Aim can carry you a bit up the ranks. Must just not play a lot
@@Twilight.Princess I would say She's like high Silver maybe low Gold, if She wanna push further She MUST work on her positioning and get quicker at reacting to potential threats
Keep in mind this is probably one of their better games so the rank isn’t that surprising tbh

I legit do not understand the ranking system in this game. Emongg's spectated people in gold that look like they should've been bronze 5. Now he's spectating someone in bronze who looks like they should be in gold or even plat.
Keep in mind this is potentially an ego vod
It helps that the other team is bronze and that they don't exactly punish one another as harshly, they just kind of exist alongside one another until they die from pressing W

They might not play support very often, they could be a plat dps player that just picked up Illari and is playing against bronze players
it makes sense when you take into consideration that they're also playing against other bronze players. so it's easy to look good or like you're making a good play when everyone else around you is as bad as you are, there's generally a reason people are in the ranks they're in.
I’m only 5 minutes in but this player is NOT bronze. They’re stuck in the wrong rank. You are gold at least. This is like the best bronze player I’ve ever seen in one of these videos
what are you smoking? any higher than Bronze/Silver and this player would become overwhelmed v quickly. They were mostly uncontested this entire game, if you don't die you're basically a god support in bronze - but you're still bronze.

I would love to know what that Genji/Pharah was saying. The amount of times they just floated in the middle of the sky while taking damage was atrocious. I play a lot of Pharah and I know she doesn't have a very high skill ceiling, but knowing how to utilize cover is the number one rule of playing her in my opinion, and they couldn't even do that...meanwhile this Illari was playing their heart out! It feels so good to see a shitty toxic player put in their place. Great work Quarky! I think you will climb very quickly if you keep playing like this.
About 3 min and I’m confused this illari did so much value than most gold plate would ever do in that time frame lol

My guess for the genji/pharah is that they are a dps player who is still salty about Illari’s damage numbers. I thought we were over this but I just saw people complaint about an Illari on my team yesterday. Hit ‘em with the “support btw” anytime they died to Illari
she's too easy to aim with for the ammount of burst you can do, her gun should be a normal hitscan rather than being wide

Great target priority for bronze, especially on that ult on 1st point def, knowing to ignore the spinning orisa and shootingna squishy is stuff even golds get wrong all the time

hey Emongg other games have used that feature for labeling the map, old halo MP e.g. They didn’t have an overhead but they had a faded location name on your hud near your health of exactly where you were standing. it was perfect for callouts
legitimately, other than not taking high ground, this illari plays like plat. i actually think they're gonna climb in no time.

bro I play like maybe gold (on widow and dva) and whenever my support plays illari they just throw the healing pylon and go full on dps props to this guy for using the right click

OK this illari isn't bronze or if very clearly held back by teamates the mechanics and aim is there new to illari but knew all the best spots. Ya either smurfin or something too good for bronze still a compliment
This is likely one of their better games, so they usually play worse than this meaning that their rank is justified

Ya, that Illari is going to get to mid silver pretty quickly. All they need to work on is more high ground usage and reacting a little faster and theyw ill hit gold.
I think that most support mains are pretty good for their rank but they can’t hard carry, but they can still enable their teammates and make plays sometimes only rlly cracked support players climb(or duos ofc)
It is more of a mentality thing to be honest, if you are going to stand around and healbot your tank, you are relying on your tank to carry you, but if you go out there and take the fight to the enemy then it is in your hands.

Pharrah is like a cheat code in bronze because the vast majority of Bronze players don't have the mechanics to deal with one.

18:00 min in: In regards to your positioning comment about looking at maps from top down; you might be interested in checking out how ML7 does VOD reviews, theirs not a whole map function but he will look at every thing too down in a way you might find beneficial and could also do, I have no idea what the function is I never spend any time in replay

12:07 support players NEED to learn this. i see so many of my other supports trying to run away and then stagger themselves by 5+ seconds. who cares if it means you add a death? better to die fast WITH your team than try to run away and end up hurting your team by choosing to stagger yourself. not dying as a support is good when it means you're not dying early in the team fight. but when the team fight is lost, just reset with your team.

Yeah, that genji/pharah was playing bad, got rolled many times and the only way they can try to save face is to say someone is bad while seething behind their keyboard.

People seem to be forgetting what an ego vod in low elo looks like. This is what every new player with decent mechanics looks like. She will be up and out

If a checkpoint is reached and spawns switch, you can move between them using the interact key for a couple seconds

I’m a silver 3 support but when illari came out I sky rocketed to plat 4, im immo in valorant and this character is so aim based I have been tearing up ranked, I feel like it’s cheating tho because I’ve gone up so much, i have a 75% win rate with her…
Her shots are also thicker (more like projectiles) compared to other hitscan characters, so it is easier to hit shots on her.
Blizzard really needs to make deployable objects despawn if the player dies. I know it doesn't make thematical sense, but they are becoming way too prevalent in the game and getting value when you are dead shouldn't be rewarded, it should be punished. (I would miss the Torb POTG though)
on one hand, I don't dislike this idea. maybe there's a delay of a few seconds, but the deployable dies well before the player respawns. to me, that makes sense and seems fair.
on the other hand, I am an illari enjoyer so I also hate this idea lol

I think these shots become easier to hit when you’re uncontested. But also, Bronze players maybe have scuffed mechanics, but it doesn’t mean none of them can hit flying characters.
