My mom worked so hard to become middle class that her application for citizenship was delayed because her fingerprints came off from all the work and cleaning. We had the good plates but never used them. We rooted for the Yankees. I walked everyone’s dog on the block in order to buy my own sneakers. Spam and eggs were high in protein. Sunday was 50 relatives packed into one small apartment, celebrating how good things were compared to where they came from. The Public Library was a refuge. The fire hydrant’s water was a treat on hot summer days. My brother and I gazed at the stars from our fire escape and also watched life unfold on the streets. The church’s bells could be heard in the living room (and the subway and neighbors) and I’d go to say thanks and please let me pass my classes. When I joined the Army at 18 my grandma said “Now you can be an American,” even though I was born and raised in New York City. Poor ? We were rich in spirit, and hopes, and love. I’m a middle class lawyer now. Thank you mom.
Lovely post! I get the feeling what she is talking about is pride in yourself. It's only because the public has a view that wealth equates pride & success. It isn't about income its about loving the life you live, dressing your best (whatever you can afford without debt) , not showing up at the airport in pyjamas as an adult - things like that. I bet your Mom looked after all her stuff with pride, especially her kids. You are wealthy indeed.
@@kautilya21 okay speak for me since you know it all. 🤣 whatever you just said only speaks volume about yourself. I'm sorry you view so lowly of yourself and I'm sorry your so miserable that you felt the need to try and bash me like that. Bye.
@K Ak Absolutely! Those figures are also tied to jobs and not income streams. When you talk income streams, it goes like this: "One of my business/income streams/assets produces a nice little income of around 100k per year." Also it is not necessary to mention stuff like this when you are wealthy. It is apparent when you are.
@K Ak Of course 😎 I was simply agreeing and adding to your comment. Just a thought... All successful people start out as "normal". Elon Musk grew up in Pretoria South Africa with a very middle class upbringing.
Dude it sucks doe being a middle class... Everything gets divided betn ur siblings and all ... For me being a middle class prsn now has high hopes to be in upper class someday ... Just hopes! All d best to all of u
Ambrish Dubey well, everything is going to be split up between you and your siblings no matter what class you’re in. If you were upper class, you’d be sad that your parents are only willing to buy a Mercedes for your birthday rather than a Ferrari because then it wouldn’t be fair to your other siblings because they wouldn’t get a car or a car as nice.
@@akvnflz if my parents bought me a Mercedes instead of a Ferari I'd thank them. It's a matter of personal choice tho, but Mercedes cars are truly luxurious while I feel like Ferari has a sorta 'look I'm rich' vibe. Which we know that true rich people aren't loud about how rich they are.
lovely littlegirl oh of course, I’d be happy with a Mercedes too, but in the eyes of a spoiled, rich brat, it would be a commoner car and low-class. And let’s be honest, all these rich parents just buy their kids whatever they want because they’re too busy to love the children themselves, they need material possessions to do that. Most rich kids end up being more attached to the housekeeper who trained them how to use a bicycle, and even then it’s not a close relationship...
When I was broke, I dressed like I was rich. Now that I am actually NOT middle class, I pretend/dress/spend/save/invest like I'm poor lol "It's not about what you make, It's about what you keep"
@@Ch-ov3he Au contraire, mon ami. I take better care of myself than ever before, from the inside out (good personal hygiene, high quality food, a few key supplements, active lifestyle, spiritual growth). But I avoid opulence.
Same. My designer bags I just don’t carry them anymore. I bought a $20 bag and have been faithfully carrying it ever since. I’ve been just watching my spending and saving more. I feel better like I’m living for myself now versus trying to fit in.
Signs I'm middle class. I own a washer and dryer. I can afford to fix my car when the engine light turns on. I have triple A (or AAA.) I can do a full grocery run every week for the entire week. I can put gas in my car at any point in the month without concern to my paycheck.
The channel slogan is literally "Where future billionaires come to be inspired." So yeah, being middle class isn't bad in and of itself. But it isn't where many want to be. Nor is being middle class the inspiration of the channel.
then I am not alone if feeling like I am doing something wrong? I do get the point of this channel is to be rich and nothing else, but somethings are not that bad about not being rich
@@damasovi_travels1244 The mindset of the channel is to be extremely wealthy. However, they have said that that's not for everyone. If "middle class" is your goal, you've reached it, and you can maintain it, than that is FANTASTIC! and nothing at all wrong with that. Though for some of us, we get there, then sort if plateau, and such a video is a needed kick to get us back on track for what it is we desire. If that makes any sense.
@@rainynight02 a thanks! It does make sense. Also, I am NOT form the USA so standars in my country varies, such us Higher Education, not for the middle class, private school? even less. I do get it do, in the USA so many things are different.
I attended Cornell University for one semester before I transferred out, and man this channel is 100% right. I grew up middle class and I never felt so poor when I went to Cornell. Like my 1st roommate who was definitely old money had an entire different outlook on life then I did. She dressed very basic and didn't waste money on useless things. She didn't really apply herself to school because she had no real major, just General studies. Her family took trips to Dubai and other Middle Eastern countries. I was blown away.
Yeah, I do have a gang of plastic bags, which I forget to bring with me whenever I go shopping. I'm at the checkout line and get upset when I know I'm about to bring more bags home..
It's not that I forget to take them to the grocery store, those are meant to be used for the garbage in the car, or throwing out the used cat litter. That's where you save your money, they always give you more free ones at the grocery store
To an extent. Data shows the only thing labeling us as such is income. After that, it really is just mindset. I've met wealthy people who act like absolute trash, and I have met low income folks that are absolutely classy well mannered people.
That’s impossible. “Middle” class in mathematics means the average. So if most people are poor, there will be a “middle class” within the poor people. Same applies to countries with mostly rich people. In any population there is a lower, middle and upper
The only people who don’t behave like this are crazy rich, usually futile, celebrities. The sort that will eventually run out of money or face tax evasion charges ;-) Everybody cares about this stuff.
My goal isn’t to be rich but being debt free and yes money helps with happiness but it’s not the key. The key for me is to be grateful for what I have and keep doing and challenging myself to go to the next level. It’s fun and I learn a lot from my and others mistakes and apply it where applicable.
Thats what im trying to achieve, get rid of credit card debt, then my braces cost which i pay monthly, then $2000 investment with my friend which i need to save up, then my Car, and then start saving for house deposit, and in the mean time, its difficult to get a nice body because it requires will, i won't guarantee that but that would be my bonus.
Additional sign you are in the middle class: Alux targets you as their main market for self-help, self-improvement products knowing that those products will help Alux much more than they will help whoever buys them. 😂
I think being middle class, no matter your income, means your bills are always paid and you own everything you have and don’t need anything more in your life materially! I also think having good relationships and friends makes you wealthy!
Joshua Knight why does everyone deluded themselves into thinking they are temporarily inconvenienced billionaires. Yes I said billionaires because a few million and you’re still middle class.
@@LyndaDS "luxury" is also subjective based on culture ,finances etc.. We get it, you are fancy... To some Coach is luxury. To people who have never had the LUXURY of owning a new handbag, let alone name brand, spending $150-$300 on one is definitely a luxurious self pampering experience. Try to look at the overall idea here...
This breakdown definitely made me practice more gratitude. There are times I'm very hard on myself, wondering if I'm on the right path, or if there's more I could have done, etc. I think those are recurring questions for many ppl, especially into your late 30s, entering 40. Its like a mental life assessment we do at approaching a crossroad. You begin to question yourself about the future and how to reach higher. As she pointed out in the video, I too, have a Masters Degree and a decent Government job (fitness trainer on the side outside of my main job); a roof over my head, a reliable vehicle, good healthcare, etc. Gratitude is necessary because there are so many people less fortunate in numerous circumstances, whether it be illness, loss of jobs, or extreme poverty. I am greatful for my life, indeed. I just want to do more. I want to be able to be a huge blessing to my elderly parents and other elderly family members, so I'm always seeking paths to professional advancement, additional entrepreneurship, etc. It will happen one day. ❤.

Gamer Doctor It's actually impossible. You can move, in your lifetime, from poor to rich, but in the class stakes you confer that on your children, or their children, with the advantages of access to the upper classes. Money doesn't buy class.
In summary, being middle class is having the skills to become upper-middle class or upper class, but being too burdened by debt and traditionalism to actually get there.
I grew up in an incredibly typical middle class setting, primarily in the 60’s. My dad was an Engineer in the Aerospace industry and my mom taught middle school English. They drove Fords, Chevys and Dodges. They always bought one of their two cars used. I grew up in a one story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath tract home built in 1956 in a suburb of Los Angeles. Sound familiar? I bet it does to a lot of the commentators here. Now, in my mid 60’s, my wife and I have a multiple 7 figure net worth, through a combination of hard work, education (we are both college graduates plus I have an MBA) conservative personal financial decisions and a dose or 2 of good luck. But.....the basis for our current financial well being is the solid middle-class upbringing we both had. We learned really good values that served us well throughout our adult lives and we are grateful for it.
A tract home is a home built as part of opening a new development. There are several models with few differences and they but handfuls or hundreds in of each depending on the size. Over decades they will look more and more individual. Eventually house flippers come, knock them down and put up custom house one by one. It’s an early stage of a neighborhood, I’ve no idea why it’s considered a pejorative.
I’ve clapped after a sketchy landing just because I was still alive. But next time I’ll be sure to clap because not only am I still alive, I’m also middle class! LoL. With my economy seat sitting cheap destination visiting self 😂
That explains why I am having issues with my friends and family. I’m middle class trying to enter rich class 🤦🏽♀️ I swear...it’s so different with rich people. Stayed in a rich area for a year. First of all they don’t have jobs, they are into wealth and health. Most aren’t on social media!!! Where they socialize is in events, meetings etc. And so much more
After watching this, I felt somewhat mocked for being middle class. I felt this video also sneers at hard working people who did well in school and followed the rules. What would our society look like if everyone neglected to work hard and instead took advantage of other people for their own enrichment? It would not be a society I’d want to live in. We all strive to have more, but let’s not shame those who achieved a form of betterment in their lives.
Though I'm in the middle class, I have the heart of the poor and the mind of the rich. I live below my means and know that everything is just smoke and mirrors in order to keep you consuming.
That's sort of me, too. A few of these fit me, especially the 'secure job' part. But most of the rest really didn't. I'm not into the whole consumption mindset. I definitely don't believe in politics anymore and am totally onto the edited version of history we get in schools (if they even teach any these days).
I watched these videos a lot a few years back when I was starting out as an entrepreneur. They motivated me to seek wealth and were very inspiring, and seek wealth I did. When my world came crumbling around me, because for one reason or the other my entrepreneurial journey ended in failure, I almost fell into a deep depression because I couldn't handle the reality that I might end up being one of the people this channel despises. I lost appreciation of the finer things in life like music, art, a sunny day, friendship and family. Food stopped tasting good, and my hobbies were no longer enjoyable. Even after having an unbeaten season and winning a championship with my semi-pro basketball team, I felt hollow afterwards. I felt like I was not worthy, and would have easily fallen into the sunken place, never to come back, were it not for the support system around me who consistently encouraged me and gave me the strength to change my mindset from one that sought after riches for their own end, to one that seeks first to fulfill my purpose and align myself with God's will. I learnt the depth in the words, seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all other things shall be added on to you. This is not meant to be an evangelical message and is not targetted at any specific creed. I would just like to share my testimony in the hope that it helps someone. The billionaires account for a very small portion of the world's population, and odds are you won't be one of them. What I can guarantee though is that you can choose to have a happy life with or without the riches this channel speaks of. Consumerism is a distraction that has the potential to destroy your life. Remember, we give meaning to things, things will never and should not define us. Focus more on what you have and be grateful for the many blessings that come your way as opposed to focusing on what others have or what you don't have, and maybe then, through appreciating what we have in abundance, you will achieve real and lasting wealth.
I appreciate your message but I will still make the jump from upper middle to upper class, no matter what. It won't make me happy but I want to do it anyways. For the sake of the family I hope to have one day. Personally, I don't care for money that much. But I think it's good to have ambitions you can follow. Life's so hollow without something to fight for. And in the worst case, I like to quote the TV series Rome: "The sun still shines, water still tastes good…glory is all well and good but life is enough, nay?" And then get back up and try again. Sometimes you make one step for, two steps back. That's ok. You will find your way again if you keep going and are not blind to your own self. Hard work pays off if you are smart about it. No, we won't become billionaires but we can become millionaires. It's not easy. There are no fast routes. But it's possible.
I agree with your message. Watch Dave Ramsey's channel and he gives clear direction to be both, according to Biblical standards. God bless you and thank you again so much for sharing. You have a rare story that some experience, but not many. Your pain has brought valuable lessons that you can now share with others like you did here. There is much more beyond this temporal life, as you now well know.
Truly well said. Gosh you were in real depression at one time and climbed out of it! You really learned and bettered yourself having gone through it. You know great for you, this is inspiring to read. I love comments like yours because it is so true.thanks for sharing.
And the classic "the ones in the front will work for the ones in the back is such bullshit..." Just an excuse for those who aren't suited for school environment or aren't as intellectually capable. Look at the qualifications and the acumen of some of the richest people in the world...
STARTING EARLY IS THR BEST WAY OF GETTING AHEAD TO BUILD WEALTH, AND INVESTING REMAIN A PRIORITY. THE STOCK MARKET HAS PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITY TO EARN A DECENT PAYOUTS, WITH THE RIGHT SKILLS AND A PROPER UNDERSTANDING OF HOW THE MARKET WORKS.
I am from a upper middle class family in Sri Lanka. My mom is a doctor and my father is a retired civil engineer. I am also studying medicine. My parents have each an every feature you have mentioned in this video. For example yesterday my mom called tha bank for securing a credit card and also she has a habit of unwrapping gifts that you have mentioned in this video. She always says she's gonna retire at the age of 63.After that she is hoping to do nothing just to enjoy herself. In the other hand my father is more interested in making money from our estate and he buys expensive branded products. But what about me then.Even I am a 3rd year medical student. I have little bit different attitudes actually. Until 2020 I was focussing on my career. But from this year I started earning money through several passive income sources.I have plans to invest money also.Because I have a dream of getting rich and a successful person in the society.
Jeff Stone Just take a look at spending and social habits of the middle class. I’d say the video is spot on. It’s only condescending because you can relate and feel bad about it.
Garmin is the ultimate watch for athletes and the athletic types in middle class... like their Fenix line. 😂 Some people think Apple watch or Fit Bit are the ultimate thing, LOL.
It is because the points are designed to insult, as you are too polite to say here. That was an uninformed screed disguised as some sort of "enlightenment". It's like a Cosmo quiz, it means nothing.
Ethan Groß Not to mention most “middle class” Americans are spending on credit and owe hundreds of thousands in credit card debt, many are leasing of financing the cars they drive. Middle class lifestyle is all debt based.
RG RG That’s true. If your lifestyle is financed, and if you believe you can afford something because you make payments on it, you’re so financially irresponsible. Corporations and banking institutions thrive on the financial mentality of people like that.
Not really, a house ( like any RE) is a financial tool. Unfortunately most people don’t know how to use it. Likewise, if you put your income aside and zero out your credit you can save some extra$ and get certain perks but you should never borrow money on an account that charges interest, if you borrow on a non interest card make sure it’s zeroed before they charge you interest. It’s best to keep your debt down until you really know what you’re doing.

I’ve known about 4 totally different multimillionaires in my life. 2 of which are family members of mine. (unfortunately none of them were/are my parents) ALL of them were some of cheapest people I’ve ever known! When pay phones were still around, one of these people passed one, then took 2 steps back to see if there was change in there. There was a quarter! I never saw anyone so happy
I agree with most of what was said with some exceptions, ie. I don't pretend or aspire to be rich. The middle class is one socio-economic group where one can likely find true happiness and fulfillment in life. I don't need fancy brands or status symbols to impress others. I am happy in the knowledge that all my needs are met and have enough left over at the end of the month to treat myself here and there. Appreciating and accepting what you have is a blessing :) That is what the middle class can offer.
Not in Africa. I have been living in Africa for almost 10 years now and I can tell you that I have never met an African who had a health insurance. Most of them don't actually know what it is and in several African countries it doesn't even exist.
Yeah pretty American things. Here in a social-democratic country it is called "You can afford private healthcare (without being sent there by public healthcare)"
In the upper class, there’s old-money and new-money. Old-money behaves a lot more like your description than the actual middle-class. New-money, in the splurging sort, is probably what you would mean by upper clss
I agree. « rich» and upper class is not the same. The « upper class» is most often the upper middle class. And the « rich» is most often the new hard earnd money
Where you are now is only a reflection of a moment. Sounds philosophical but if you are for example a student from the upper middle class (like myself for example) you still don't have a lot of money when you are investing a bit and allow yourself to live while paying the bills and not buying stupid stuff like useless brand products or other over priced items aso. I mean, in theory I make more money than my peers but they still party more than me (mainly because I don't like partying but that's not the point). But I don't worry about my rent or have to work, I choose to. The numbers on your bank account really don't say anything if you can't read them in context.
I dont want to fill my house with stock artwork. I purchased four pieces from an art auction. I find art to be pretty important and should be unique and support artists.

The middle class for me is the people that who can eat even thrice a day and has home for shelter, medicine for illness and can afford the doktor when the sickness time and the people who has heart for the poor people it's called generosity not people with luxury life but no heart for the fellow...
My wife and I have over 20M, and we won't ever live in San Fran. It being ridiculously expensive is one of the many reasons. If you see our cars, and house ...we're middle class. *When and if we pull out 100 million of liquidity, then we'll splurge, and become "upper Class". Maybe in our 40s. We'll see.
You do realize that millions of people, like me, grew up in huge cities with populations of many million? I grew up in midtown Manhattan. It's hard to move to a bigger city for more opportunity.
#4 - pretty sure the kids at the back of the class did drugs, most are in jail, dead, or working at Denny's. The kids at the front who got A and took honors classes all have 6 figure incomes.
And maybe then they got out of the jail, lost their self respect, family and everything until they realized they now have nothing to lose and only to gain. They worked hard, started a business, focused on building and became rich...
Yes pointless and annoying, isn't it? If you want to create wealth, you have to make a plan, stick to it, work hard, save money and let nothing get in the way of your goal.
I would argue it's not pointless. The points here show how people spend their time and money- two of the biggest determinants of wealth. --From a fellow middle classer
@@JohnBowl14690 Sure, money is the ultimate determinate. But will someone working minimum wage who falls asleep watching TV every night ever become rich? No. Everything is fine in moderation. The points the video are making is that the poor and middle class spend more time doing these things thus reducing the time they have to do things like further their education and wealth building. If you spend more time doing X you'll have less time to do Y. Time is finite.
I dropped out of High School to see what “Independence” is like at 17, throughout the 2yrs of been dropped out, I’ve experienced a lot of setbacks, resentment, & consistent thoughts of being entitled to “Feeling like the only person to think differently than anybody else in the world”. Didn’t want to go to college because ALL I ever thought about college was “Being in Debt” so young, now being 20 for 7 months and sticking to watching Alux videos ever since, I’ve understood the differences btwn. Good/Bad Debt. Just yesterday after going to work at WingStop, my 4th day there, I realized that the successful people I look up to, went to College not for the longest, tho worked on their side-projects & passions while still at school, and thru time, they became successful. In summary, I’ve decided to complete my few credits & enroll into College following 2020. W/a Middle/Rich Class mindset, I have the wisdom to change things up for me differently. I will be featured into “15 Things You Didn’t Know About Mwinyi Israel”.
Everyone that I follow as mentors or mentors by proxy say start a business in a trade. Or work for a business that is a trade like electrician or plumber for a couple years. Then start your business. It is where the money is going to be. There is a handyman channel I follow and he says by 2025 handyman will be the top paying business. I do landscaping and handywork full time. I work for myself.
Same. Oh my favorite to date is when some brag about having a Natuzzi leather sectional. If you asked them why this makes their couch better than others, they cannot tell you why. BTW, they purchase this Godsend at a furniture warehouse. 😂😂😂😂
Gopneeye Duniya Highly unlikely as the middle class is a target destination or one of stasis holding on for dear life to entitlement to the professions. The middle class, now, seems more intent on protecting their base rather than opening it up to further erosion from the lower classes. Hence they're for stasis rather than raising their game. The middle class ideology is status rather than wealth which if adhered to actually erodes any wealth making potential. They'd rather appear rich than be wealthy because they despise ostentatious displays of wealth but secretly covet those spoils.
With all you explained here have you noticed that 1)Middle class people respect other people and always want to be good and they feel bad about hurting some one. 2)They give importance to everyone and everything. 3)they enjoy their life and are happy with it.
Seems completely opposite! No respect, snub everyone. Sneer at whomever they deem poorer. Judge those with older cars. Are less likely to tip decently/ first to complain. If they bump into someone, or cut in line, quick to get an attitude. Never give to the homeless or volunteer ar shelters or soup kitchens. A lot of this is fear...they think poverty's a contagious disease and they don't want their resious offspring to ever acknowledge its existence.
middle class is for sure fake as fuck i am not sure were you get this. honestly the happiest people i have ever met are poor people from south America, i dont know if they faked it and i was dumb but you talk about people genially seemed to understand their place in life but didn't let it stop them from being happy.
You described my life and you know what? I dont even feel bad. I'm genuinely proud of who I am as a person. As long as I have trees and mountains, I *truly* don't care about things. Things never mattered to me. K lol I'll go hug a tree now. Sending peace to everybody, rich, poor& in between. This world needs depth and good deeds not first class flights and mini bars. ❤
That just screams attention. I mean, have you ever inironically (stupid fashion word) looked at Instagram? What a pointless website. Insane that it works as a buisness.
idk, sounds pretty poor to me again I think this is based off social perception and “mentality” true wealth is peace and sane mind. Money can not put a price on that
I have a few of these signs…. I grew up in an upper middle class white neighborhood…..and i am black! I was never poor….i don’t consider myself rich, by any means…. But the i don’t worry about the costs of things as much anymore….. i make good money…… but yes..i am looking forward to retiring….. i had higher hopes…..but i think i also think i did much better than most of my peers….i live in paradise….& i am happily single! Its all about taking care of business…..& i do that pretty well! Thnx for the video!
the point right before it said something like, " you pay money for monthly subscriptions and feel good about spending that money and still having something at the end of the month." And then, "BUY THIS VPN MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP TOO, THEN"
I guess I always thought I was poor, but I fit in with this criteria! This actually made me really grateful for where I am in my life ( I WAS poor before). Thanks Alux!
I saw my mom bring out certain things when family and friends came by. There was always whispers that my mom was wealthy but she acted like she was middle class. It was not until I was setting up my mom new iPhone years ago and she had we going into her different brokerage accounts that I saw she was actually affluent.
That’s what I was thinking!! 😂 I kept waiting to see if one of them would describe something I do, but they got to 15 and I couldn’t imagine what else I could be classified as.
These are stereotypical “old style” middle class people we are talking 60’s, 70’s & 80’s. Maybe even a little further back but defo throughout those times.
This video applies to a very specific segment of the middle class. American, from a small town, probably boomer/gen x, moderate behaviour (aka playing it safe). It's just a VERY big stereotype. Like you're telling me no one in NYC is middle class because they don't own a garage full of rubbish? And who the fuck buys infomercial stuff anymore? Do these even exist? This is such an ignorant take on middle class. Truth is, if you're either poor or rich you'll know it.
In my days (the 80’s) a person was middle class if they lived in suburbia, had two cars, a cabin or summer home, and took 2 weeks of vacation every year. Looks like we are trying to redefined “middle class” because we are afraid to admit we are broke, but have good credit for an apple product.
When i was a kid , i grew up poor. Having clothes that were actually mine was a nice luxury. My mother threw all my clothes in the garbage and didn't plan get me new ones or decent thrift store ones. I had to share my older brother clothes who had behaviour problems. It didn't go well. I'm the one who was blamed for it even though it was my mother's idea.

Oh yay I did not notice that BS was over now.
Wow I’m the new rich?
What an amazing woman 🙌🏾
Respect!!!
You sound like a well-grounded person, not like some spoiled, wealthy people I know. I commend you and wish you well!!!
omg god, bless her, thank you for sharing your story, Sir.
Middle class... my fiancee and I grew up very very poor and it feels so nice living in middle class
That is the problem with it. Comfort zone. It helps you be the vanilla. A good little drone. I grew up upper-middle class.
You have low expectations about yourself. I was middle class and I hated it.
As someone from the lowest end of low income growing up, being middle class is satisfying. Few people get out of where I’m from, so I’m happy I did.
Yeah, my parents were just like you but through education and hard work they made it into the middle class. The class which I'm born into.

Well done! Enjoy! Die besten Wuensche fuer 2020.🌍🍁
Owning 2 cars in 1960s meant super rich in my country.

I am escaping from the rat race too.
And in the worst case, I like to quote the TV series Rome:
"The sun still shines, water still tastes good…glory is all well and good but life is enough, nay?"
And then get back up and try again.
Wise words thank you for sharing !

Ethan Watson same here.

Rihan Sotelo it probably means you're middle class
I’ve known about 4 totally different multimillionaires in my life. 2 of which are family members of mine. (unfortunately none of them were/are my parents) ALL of them were some of cheapest people I’ve ever known! When pay phones were still around, one of these people passed one, then took 2 steps back to see if there was change in there. There was a quarter! I never saw anyone so happy
One of the greatest achievements knowing how far you've come when you become 1st class.
Funny how the richest men of history were common citizens with a dream, and filled with passion
Retr0 funny how the real rich are private and control the publicly open rich
I agree with most of what was said with some exceptions, ie. I don't pretend or aspire to be rich. The middle class is one socio-economic group where one can likely find true happiness and fulfillment in life. I don't need fancy brands or status symbols to impress others. I am happy in the knowledge that all my needs are met and have enough left over at the end of the month to treat myself here and there. Appreciating and accepting what you have is a blessing :) That is what the middle class can offer.
„You can afford health insurance“ - that‘s compulsory and/or public service everywhere - except in the USA.
Most of the USA is unhealthy and stressed and low insured and is just a divorce from going 2-3 classes down= 3 world
Not in Africa.
Warren buffet still live in the same house from his 30tns
And using the same car for about a decade
There's outliers for everything.
Yeah...but he's NOT middle class!😂
So what? Live your own life. The way warren buffet lives doesn’t define the life you want.
😂😂😂 he is lower middle class

Being middle class is not tearing the gift wrap ... So u can wrap it for someone else - it is sustainability
Are we running out of paper?
In the upper class, there’s old-money and new-money. Old-money behaves a lot more like your description than the actual middle-class.
New-money, in the splurging sort, is probably what you would mean by upper clss
I agree. « rich» and upper class is not the same. The « upper class» is most often the upper middle class. And the « rich» is most often the new hard earnd money
According to this I’m rich, but my bank accounts would disagree 😂
iris shalurhad lmao me rn I’m broke because I’m investing
iris shalurhad class is a state of mind.
Number 17. You know you're broke when you have to resort to buying used homes
I dont want to fill my house with stock artwork. I purchased four pieces from an art auction. I find art to be pretty important and should be unique and support artists.
Yup, all my art works are ORIGINALS from TALENTED LIVING artists who aren’t overpriced...YET!
So true. And also pieces around the house with history and personality and one of a kind.
I'd rather impress and impact people by creating value to their lives which is the only true and honest path to wealth and abundance.

It’s terrifying how well they know the middle class
that's how they make their marketing
The middle class for me is the people that who can eat even thrice a day and has home for shelter, medicine for illness and can afford the doktor when the sickness time and the people who has heart for the poor people it's called generosity not people with luxury life but no heart for the fellow...
Really?
It is more terrifying how they stereotyped the middle class.
Because they are also the middle class 😀👌🏽
Welcome to San Francisco where making $100k a year is considered “low income”
Damn that city got outrageously expensive!
vaderladyl california in general is expensive especially the Bay Area lol. You can find houses in the ghetto where it’s super dangerous for 800k...
That's much more than my family's net worth
Nah, ull stick with são paulo

Congratulations to everyone that attend class and doing as they desire
And maybe then they got out of the jail, lost their self respect, family and everything until they realized they now have nothing to lose and only to gain. They worked hard, started a business, focused on building and became rich...
This video is pointless. Building wealth takes time, and you have to live below your means in the meanwhile.
@@mikebevan1034 - Mike, this video has a lot of flaws. Net worth determines what class you're in, not whether you save boxes or watch sports.

What screams middle class in my neck of the woods? When the locals go to the olive garden or red lobster thinking they're dining in style!!!😂😆🤣
Same. Oh my favorite to date is when some brag about having a Natuzzi leather sectional. If you asked them why this makes their couch better than others, they cannot tell you why. BTW, they purchase this Godsend at a furniture warehouse. 😂😂😂😂

Or the lower class.

Well yes i am
Gopneeye Duniya Highly unlikely as the middle class is a target destination or one of stasis holding on for dear life to entitlement to the professions. The middle class, now, seems more intent on protecting their base rather than opening it up to further erosion from the lower classes. Hence they're for stasis rather than raising their game. The middle class ideology is status rather than wealth which if adhered to actually erodes any wealth making potential. They'd rather appear rich than be wealthy because they despise ostentatious displays of wealth but secretly covet those spoils.
With all you explained here have you noticed that
1)Middle class people respect other people and always want to be good and they feel bad about hurting some one.
2)They give importance to everyone and everything.
3)they enjoy their life and are happy with it.
Agree

I saw my mom bring out certain things when family and friends came by. There was always whispers that my mom was wealthy but she acted like she was middle class. It was not until I was setting up my mom new iPhone years ago and she had we going into her different brokerage accounts that I saw she was actually affluent.
I’m pretty sure I’m middle, but none of these apply to me lol.
I don’t think this applies to most middle class ppl lol
Mine too it is not applied to me
This video applies to a very specific segment of the middle class.
Did she say, the students in the front of the class end up working for those in the back. Wow, I'm totally assaulted 😂

I'm A student in the back and sometimes in front. who knows?
D students can't compete with A students in the job market. So they make their own business which, if successful, they then hire the A students.

This is the type of conversations the government has. They have a true understanding of how all this works.
