- Integrated trial runs for #Metro3 has been commenced. Various systems like rolling stock (coach), signal telecommunications, tracks traction etc., are being validated during the trial runs which is being carried out between #BKC to #Aarey
After completion of trials and certifications of individual systems and certificate from Independent Safety Accessor (ISA), the system shall be offered for inspection of Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS). Upon receiving CMRS sanction, the section will be opened for passenger services.

Navi Mumbai Metro was built in 11 years and it is an above ground metro. Constructing underground in a densely populated and unplanned city like Mumbai is much more difficult

they have built agra metro in a record time of 23 months which was inaugrated on 6th March 2024. its high time MMRDA expedites and starts metro line 3 soon.

Mumbai's rock is extremely hard. The areas available above ground and their entry points are difficult. Please, don't compare the 2 places! Also, Agra only has a few stations below ground. Except for the train depot, all of the Aqua Line/Line 3 is built underground... underneath an island made from reclaimed land between 7 islands... Mumbai!
Also, many things were delayed because of Uddhav Sena/MVA government. Agra is a different rock type, less congested than Mumbai, and has had a stable Yogi Adityanath government. MVA harassed the MMRC municipal commissioner Ashwini Bhide repeatedly and tried to transfer her just because of Aarey.

This is going to be inaugurated in two phases one from sarey to BKC second one from BKC to coloba. Looking at the progress of the project first phase will start in 2 or 3 months.
First phase will open in May I think. Second phase is in September. 🤔

It is two tracks. There is a second tunnel running on the opposite side
Bhai in underground section both tracks have different tunnels because that's according to the standard tunnel machine size
And that sized tunnel is far easier to build and maintain compared to twin track tunnel

No they are not. They are over a kilometre apart. Bkc metro station on this line is near RBI. The bullet train station is near mmrda grounds. But this line connects with line 2b (Dn nagar mandale) so you can exchange there and in 1 stop reach bullet train station
The distance between this Aqua line BKC station and bullet train BKC station is around 1 km but they are going to connect them with travelators.

I mean The design of Aarey Depot Station is more like an Industrial complex look at Sydney Metro Stations they r also build in the same Decade but they look Superb inside nd out they r getting trains from Same Manufacturer and same Unit which is in Sricity. What is the reason that we r just building Cement boxes and not World Class stations?
