Excellent! True wisdom...Thank you ❤ I would just add that Gratitude Srikumar Rao is referring to, I would not call a feeling but rather a state of being. And this state of being is well-described in the song Amazing Grace. When we are in that state when we sink into the bosom of the benevolent Universe as he calls it, we truly live and every moment we are not in that state is a wasted moment. This is the state of being where illusions stop and we experience Sat Chit Ananda - Existence Consciousness Bliss.
I am in my midlife, for past 2 to 3 years I was searching for this answer. knowing that feeling attached with our goals are illusion but don’t know the process to overcome that.. today I got that answer.. it is “detachment”.. How profound .. it is hard to practice in this world of influence .. but we should start to be detached from the result.
This episode has given me a lot to think about. Recently, I felt a deep sense of gratitude as I emerged from depression. Its a feeling rather than thinking and practicing gratitude. It's been a process of learning and growing, one that I need but don't necessarily want.🙏🏼 However, I still don't understand: if we aim to reach a state of 'ananda,' does that mean we shouldn't expect love from anyone or love anyone?"

When I first hear this video I thought it was 10 minutes long, time really past by so fast and I was so concentrated on what he was saying I haven’t realized it was 40+ minutes… I think this was the most illuminating 40 minutes of my life, mind blowing! Thanks Vishen for bringing so much knowledge.
This is absolutely amazing and a life game-changer for me ! Especially the last segment emphasizing choosing to think of the universe as always having our backs and giving us “vegetables” instead of “ice cream”, … that the universe knows what is best for us ! I am feeling so much 💡 light inside and out and tears of joy … I just dumped out so many of my fears and negativity and allowed those spaces to fill up with light and positivity, calm and warmth !!! I am forever grateful ! Never stop what you’re doing Vishen, you have no idea how many people you are reaching by bringing in wonderful people like Rao to help us to learn how to grow ! When we surrender to the will of God, we find enlightenment, joy, and peace, regardless of our circumstances. Whether we are at the bottom of the barrel or the top of the mountain, God is with us. He resides within us, and we reside within Him, no matter where we go. However, to truly align with Him, we must relinquish all our worldly attachments. We originated from Him, and to Him, we shall return. This realization is the key to unlocking the heavenly serenity that every soul seeks. God has blessed all mankind. But we don’t know unfortunately
Feeling our way through life brews and breeds authenticity toward self and all one encounters, everything because authenticity is native to us in our Pure Soul consciousness, compels us to focus on what is in alignment with our soul. Without diminishing the value and place of thinking, thinking our way through things, life, will allow tremendous reasoning but it will also fuel a paradigm of winning and losing, keeping score not so much learning and growing. Feeling brings to the surface moot questions: what do I feel and why? What does this teach me? What am I learning? Who am I becoming for this lesson? Therein lies ineffable Ananda.
Vishen, I am sure you didn't mean it and it was just a slip of the tongue, but you mentioned being a role model for your son. You have a daughter too, right? And the world needs more role models for both sons and daughters. (timing 14:49) 🙂
To summarize what I heard is: we should be fatalists. i.e.s to believe in destiny and accept whatever univers throws at us and be bliss. I do not agree.

this is "saintly"... same goes to come out of " cycle of sorrow" that u feel u can't get out of.... this helps jump out of that loop... 🙏
