That is actually a real good looking bike!! I like that headlight too!! What a steal for people looking into getting an adventure bike! Especially if they are more off road focused! Great first impression Exeter!!
Cheers buddys, Yes its a solid bike. I guess it would work out about 8k U.S something like that but the Tenere is 9.5 k put it that way. Hope your well and good on you for having a bit of time off
Great review, after talking with yourself and collecting my 650dsx I came to roughly the same conclusion as you have in this video I've only done 170 miles so far but I have enjoyed each one immensely get the run in period done and then start the off road trials. Looking forward to seeing the full review to see your views.
Seems a genuine contender for the Honda cb 500x and the Bennelli TRK, as long as its longevity is acceptable. Quite like the idea of a 650 thumper ADV with a very acceptable price
A 650 cc single! This will sell like crazy. If I was in Europe and I wanted a bike for road and off-road, I'd certainly consider this. I think it looks good, too. The F650 singles were good engines. I never feel guilty about getting a bike dirty. This bike would make a great commuter.
Definitely a confidence boost the fact it has parts similar to the BMW. Crash bars can be replaced easily, it's an off-roader, it definitely needs to be taken off-road. Yeah I would never have the money to off-road a GS, not unless it was one of the earlier models It's does have a quirky little roar to it, all together it actually does look and sound like a nice piece of kit. Looking forward to your full review mate.
How does the Voge 650 DSX compare to the 2022 Suzuki DR650? : It is also a single cylinder, capable off-road, dual sport bike still being sold in many countries ... perhaps no longer in the UK if not Euro 5 compliant. Then, is the 2022 KLR 650 not Euro 5 compliant with it's new fuel injection? This would seem to be another fair one to compare with.
Looking forward to your next video on the bike, I have been looking for a single cylinder bike like this for age's, the old yamaha xt range was the closest but are some what long in the tooth now. My only downside is the nearest dealer is 60 plus miles away.
Cool! I didn't realise this bike was already out and about. Not sure where my nearest Voge dealer with a showroom is. They list a place in W-s-M, I'll swing by there sometime and ask about a demo ride.
This looks like a really nice bike. The Chinese manufacturers have upped their game considerably, the Voge brand being an example, however I would have hesitation paying out 5-7k on something that is not established and with unknown residue values. I have experience with a Lexmoto scooter that has proved reliable and cheap to run. The main issue is that a lot of the dealers do not want to take a used Chinese bike in part ex. This is okay for the price I paid for the scooter but not when spending over 5k. The CRF300 would be a better buy as they are in short supply and command higher resale price just like the CRF 250. Maybe the big brands should look at producing a 600/650 single cylinder adventure style bikes.
All good points there Dave, and yes consumer confidence takes time to build. I have met many people who have had really good experiences with LEXMOTO bikes and scoots. A few with over 30k on them.. Thanks for watching Dave 👍📺🍻
I like this bike !!! Copes well with Devon grass too by the looks of it 😉 Looking forward to your in-depth review of this one, very tempting for somebody looking for an everyday commuter and occasional ADV bike. I'd like one of these to do a bit of shopping with and go up the odd gravel trail on from time to time. It would be a nice addition to my fleet, so very interested to hear how you feel after more time with the bike. Great video as usual, presented in a very entertaining manner. I love how you say "cruise contro" by the way 🥰 Cheers ER, El Otro.
For once it actually does handle the grass very well 🙂Even I can do it. I really like it although I dont like the fuelling TBH and all the power is at the top. More coming up on that : ) Cheers E.R El Outro
@@exeterrider OK. Yes, fuelling is important, so if that sucks it could change my opinion. I will definitely be looking forward to your full review although the fact that you enjoyed this ride so much does suggest that the bike might have something about it ! I will be patient and await your full review 👍 Cheers ER, El OTRO ( the other one ) - El Outro is what you put at the end of a video, the opposite of an intro 😂
I think BMW may have dropped their 650 bikes too soon. A 650 single seems to be a sweet spot for adventure bikes that may actually be used off-road. BMW 650’s we’re pricey, so they may have decided to drop them and move upmarket with their twins. I have an older F650 with the 650 single. I think my bike weighs about 190 kg, so I don’t know what Voge is building their bikes from, but it’s certainly not carbon fiber or aluminum. I’m sure you will cover it in your full review, but I’m curious how you find the engine. I think it was originally a Rotax-built engine that BMW used. My bike is rated at 50 hp, and it does do higher speeds easily. Oddly, it doesn’t like to chug at lower rpm. The 3000-4000 rpm range seems the most pleasant, with good acceleration from about 3500 rpm and up. I like the looks of this bike, but I don’t know where they’re available in the US.
Spot on Alvin. Yes this is pretty much the same engine as the funderos. And yes, below 2.5k it feels quite boggy, after that it comes alive. Highway Riding is OK but it starts to drink the gas a bit. Quite a unique engine and I think its the same as your 650. Thanks for your input on that 👍🍻
Really interesting bike, sounds perfect for me. Can't wait to see more, but if it is all the specs say it would have been Ideal for me!! Take care and ride safe mate 😊🖖🏼
@@exeterrider it's the quality of the components and the build quality that will show it. But a good off road and some green Laning will really be interesting to see.
I'm concerned about the repairability of the engine. Derived from doesn't necessarily mean compatible with, and that could be a good or bad thing since it's BMW.
It's exactly the same engine. BMW owners have been in contact saying they have 100k on there old bmw 650gs bikes, so it should be OK in theory, it's exactly the same engine but euro5 which may throw up its own issues 👍🍻
What is it? A lighter cb500x that might do some more off road trails with less weight and better clearance. I doubt that it would match a CB500X comfort however. But it's definitely a contender and option over the 300 class dual sports and even a DR 650.. Jump on an Aprilia Tuareg 660 now and see what an extra 2 thousand gets you. 👍
I had the same engine on BMW G650GS First series and it's Loncin Engine and not the Rotax engine of BMW F650 GS ! That engine had many problems because get off while you ride and It was very Dangerous so After few months I sell the BMW G650 GS and took Honda NC 700x (After that BMW F800 GS and now Suzuki V strom 650) I like a lot this bike but i have fear for the engine. I Hope Voge Will equipe this bike with a 700/750 Twin cylinder engine and add 20/25 horsepower

Great review mate. The Chinese bikes a definitely value for money and the build quality has improved greatly over the years
Totally agree
Picking mine up today and I’m looking forward to your next review 😊👍🏻
Good choice!
Great looking bike ER thanks for sharing.
Thanks James , hope your well
Seems a genuine contender for the Honda cb 500x and the Bennelli TRK, as long as its longevity is acceptable. Quite like the idea of a 650 thumper ADV with a very acceptable price
Yes it certainly thumps, lovely exhaust tune!
The motor is bullet proof I had one on a 2013 gs650 BMW I know people who put 100.000 miles on them
Single 650 will find many buyers in the Adventure style especially at this price, good performance and ecconomy. Like it!
Me too!

For sure, I'm surprised BMW dropped the 650 engine. Its a good size 👍
@@exeterrider The Voge could become the bike people buy who have missed the DR650.
Good comparison, and yes your right 👍
This bike looks absolutely fantastic, looks very well built and really good fun to ride. It looks like a really solid workhorse for commuting.
Couldn't agree more! Full review coming in a couple weeks time : )
@@exeterrider As soon as your full review of this bike is released, I will definitely watch it. 👍

It is def an interesting bike, the Voge bikes looked great up at the NEC last year!
It's nicely made and finished 👍🍻
Looking forward to the full review, ER. I've always had an affection for big singles, and singles in general are selling quite well in the UK.
You and me both! This is quite a thumper.
It certainly looks nice. Looking forward to the full review, which I hope will include off road impressions 👍
Ha might do, just depends if I can find the time. Unlikely tbh🍻
I wis this bike existed when i bought my nc. For the money this is unbeatable.
The NC is a far better bike all round though.
This 650 engine isn't what it should be at all.
Nice bike there mate...good value for money too
Sure is, big bike feel too it as well👍🍻
Good looking bike :-) Looking forward to full review :-)
It is mate, feels very solid.
Quite a nice looking bike . The more variety of brands and price points for riders ,can only be good for the motorcycle industry .
I'm with you 100% on that!

It is a nice machine RB, for a "A2" bike its pretty beefy. Ideal for a youngen : )
@@exeterrider Definitely worth checking out for those A2 guys, even just for that perky engine note 🤘
This is interesting. Looks a lot like the lovechild of a VStrom and a CBX500 🤘
It does 😂👍
This machine looks very good. I am intrigued!
I have a full review of this one up now as well if interested. Thanks
I'm surprised your sponsor (sinnis) allowed you to make this.
That's a good bike for the pennies. I think it looks good too.

It has much better fuel cap than Aprilia Tuareg 😉 Great value for money, great bike
