Two GOATS - HATCHY is the GOAT cycling commentator. I pay for Discovery+ & a VPN in Australia purely for HATCHY!!!!
So true. Hatchy is the best cycling commentator! I would watch smaller, supposedly less spectacular races just because he's commentating! He brings so much emotion to this great sport!
How do you manage to get past the payment geoblock? Would love to pay for Discovery Plus just to get decent cycling content again #RIPGCN+
he sounds cringey to me. especially with him trying to pronounce all the surnames(no reason to do that) and fake enthusiasm.
@@cyberbeat11 it's not fake enthusiasm. You'll know if you really follow cycling and watch him commentate live. Also with the names, he's very on point with that.
@@cyberbeat11he speaks the languages so why would he pronounce them wrong?
I don't get any of the negative comments here regarding Rob Hatch..... none of them feel merited, just petty.... I watch a lot of cycling and he is my favourite commentator by a long way..... his cycling chat is informative, interesting and absolutely no bs just a quality presenter and good egg enlightening the race even on sprint stages..... he's just as good on The Cycling Podcast too....... nice 1 Rob and keep up the good work......
Big Mathieu has that Dutch coolness as a person and clearly Rob Hatch is very respected by him great interview
You are the Best Rob
I think we all have commentators we gravitate towards. Perhaps based on the era we started watching cycling. At first I had other favorites but I've really started appreciating Rob and his insights. The depth of research he does is very impressive. Also, his pronunciation of foreign names and places is excellent. Great job, Rob, looking forward to seeing how you progress this new series.
for sure
What is the place he’s names at 17:05? Can’t catch it?
livigno

Interesting that Rob's accent completely changes at 07:30
He usually speaks with a more (probably native) Northen accent when he's not commentating. Very common among UK commentators, news presenters, actors, etc.
@@Snarkumyeah rob is from
Accrington in Lancaster. Bet he just tones it down a little to help those who’s first language isn’t English
@@TheTomster21 like Mathieu van der Poel?
@@junglejimbo2000 yes!
Is this how the formats going to be? You show a video then a a few days later you add a new intro onto it and call it a new video?
Enough with the Clickbait, huh?
not sure this Eurosport content is as good as Dan Lloyd's GCN Stuff
For some reason this season he has started missing the N from names - jasper philipse & de ronde van vlaandere - I cringe every time he says it.!! Even Jasper pronounces his name with an N.
Apart from that he’s a really good commentator - so please Rob add the N. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
As a native Dutch speaker I can confirm that generally in Dutch all letters are pronounced, however EN at the end of words is one of the few exceptions.
Most Dutch people will ponounce words ending on EN as an UH sound known as a schwa ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwa ).
Belgian people are a bit stricter in their usage of Dutch so some might really articulate the EN but i think even in Belgium it is a minority.
So Vlaanderuh is perfectly fine.
Why does this man put on a ridiculous Italian accent when saying every non English rider and town . I turn him off eurosport truly annoying
The spitter!
