I want to say around -3k for the chroming of the differential, lower trailing arms hood and door hinges. Upper, lower control arms. Motor mounts. All 4 backing plates. Steering knuckles and spindles.
Rick Flores just finished watching both of your videos on this build/restoration! I know very little about restoring or pretty much even where to start on something like this and yet I feel an extreme need to get ‘63 impala. The ones that are “affordable” require something like you’re doing 🤣
Its actually a lot cheaper, my local chrome shop quoted me $478.00 to chrome 1 control arm. I was able to get the differential housing, lower trailing arms, all 4 backing plates, upper and lower control arms, spindles, steering arms, sway bar, hood and door hinges, and motor mounts chromed for $2280.00. I don't know that I would of went out of the way just for the price but my retired father came to help me out when I got sick, I was able to sent them with him without being an inconvenience to him. He then returned a couple of months later to for some business and was able to bring them to me. It just worked out....
It's in Chihuahua, I can get you the name of the shop if you want it but that's about 3-4 hours South of el paso. There is another company in Juarez I've heard is good too. I've never dealt worth them but they're closer. Here is there info. www.ccroni.com/
Good luck with your recovery, glad to see your back on your feet I’m enjoying your build but your health comes first.
Just ran across your video. Hope your health is restored and you are back wrenching on that 63
God speed on your recovery. Can't wait to see the build progress.
nathan daniel, thank you. I appreciate that and I can't wait to get going again.
He's definitely helping. Thank you Nathan...

How much did you pay for all the chromeing?

@@ricoflo nice nice is that California price? Or you out in a different state?
Use truck bedliner on the bottom. It's durable and tintable to any color. Cool video. Hope to see more.
I used chassis black from summit racing, it's an epoxy with a semi-gloss.
Any plans to continue this series? I am about to start restoring my grandfathers rust bucket 63
Kenny Wilson I am getting ready to start again. I will be posting another video soon.

Why did you send the parts to Mexico to get plated is it that much cheaper?
