  • I have crossed the border to Tibet (Xizang) and travelled to a quite famous region around Yanjing City. It's a small cliff town located in eastern Tibet close to Yunnan Province. The area is famous as an ancient trade route connecting Tibet with Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces. Besides, it offers a stunning mountain landscape with mountains that are higher than 6000 meters in altitude. I also tried the famous Jiajiamian, which are quite popular Tibetan Noodles. The peculiarity is that you only get a very small portion that you can refill an unlimited amount of time. Eventually, I refilled 7 times.
    In the end, I rode up the Lawu Mountain Pass to reach my final destination after 200 km.
    Join me on this exciting adventure at the edge of Tibet 🎬

    In some places of China, gas stations cannot directly refuel with a gas gun. This is because after long-distance motorcycles have run, the parts near the engine will be very hot. If gasoline accidentally spills on those parts, there is a risk of fire. Therefore, some gas stations require motorcycles to refuel a certain distance away from the gas station and pour oil into them with an oil can, which is more precise and less likely to spill.

      The main reason is that the sunlight in Tibet is very strong and extremely dry, which easily generates static electricity. Even taking off clothes in Tibet will generate static electricity.

    • @rongwu-sj9ws

      I searched and found that many places in China do not allow motorcycles to be refueled directly with a refueling gun. The reason is: the motorcycle fuel tank is small, and the pressure of the refueling machine is high, which can easily cause gasoline to spill. The engine of the motorcycle is located directly below the fuel tank. When gasoline spills, the engine that has just been turned off can easily ignite the spilled gasoline and cause a fire.
      I searched again and found that the National Safety Supervision Bureau said: If the operation is qualified, motorcycles can be refueled directly with a refueling gun, but the regulations stipulate that after refueling, the vehicle must be pushed four meters away from the gas station before it can be started.

    The local hotels in these rural towns look spacious, clean and very cheap. 100 Yuan is like ..just S$20 or US$14. Even local hotels in first tiered cities such as Beijing and Shanghai are also pretty affordable. You can't get such prices even in hostels here in Singapore, and in Europe or the US, it's even more expensive.

    According to the "Gas Station Operation Safety Specifications" of the Ministry of Emergency Crisis Management of China, you cannot use a gas gun to refuel a motorcycle directly, but should use a barrel to refuel manually, and the distance from the fuel tank should not be less than 4.5 meters. In theory, you should not use a gas gun to refuel a motorcycle directly in the whole country, not just in Tibet. This is because the fuel tank of a motorcycle is small. When you use a gas gun to refuel a motorcycle directly, the high-pressure gasoline is easy to overflow. Under the fuel tank is the engine that has just been turned off. The overflowing oil can easily drip onto the hot engine and cause an open flame.

    • @thomasmuller9243
      @thomasmuller9243 2 дні тому

      This is a nonsense role. I filled my gas tank thousands of time an never had an issue. Maybe it comes from the past were the guns were not self closing when in contact with liquid. But today it is even more dangerous to run around with a bucket full of patrol.

    Beautiful place. Mountains, landscape, greenery , clouds were adding to make it more beautiful.
    Filling petrol with bucket, No number for mother bikes and seems no license required since an 10 year old was riding.
    13:48 expression 👌

    Have safe travel always, Little Chinese Everywhere. Thank you for your travel blogs. We, from all over the world learn a lot even from the remote places in China because of your self sacrifices to showcase the unknown China. You are always far away from your home in Anhui and from the other vlogs I viewed coming from China, there are reports of massive rains and flooding going on in China including your hometown. I hope your folks are all safe. Keep on traveling safely and God Speed!🤗
