I never bought a Casio because of all the writings and, I also never thought about getting a G-shock because of the bulky size, since I have a small wrist. 2 days ago I got this same watch as a birthday gift from my girlfriend and I fell in love with it. I love the all black, minimal writing, black screen and perfect size for my wrist. She sure was on the money when she picked this one for me.
It sure sounds like you’ve got a keeper there mate! The watch is nice too😉 Glad to hear that you like the same thibgs about the watch as me. The size is apositive surprise, I was sure it was going to look too big but it’s great!😁

No worries mate! Would have been no need to delete the comment, but thanks anyway! GLad to hear the video is being useful! I'm still using this watch every week so I can genuinely recommend it!
It is cool that "adjust" button is shorter than the rest of the buttons. it is more hidden and it is almost impossible to pressed it by accident. Neat feature because this is the crucial button.
Yes that is true. But I do think that they made it more difficult to press than necessary! I find it quite difficult to reset the stopwatch sometimes for example.
Nice review! I also have this watch. I wear it on single nylon strap. It is my first G-Shock! I think that "less is more & retro futuristic" design looks extremely nice and effective. It is not flashy and it can be used as military/tactical watch as well. A lot of writings on other Casio watch models has long tradition since late 70's. Some Japan electronic brands (like Technics) put quite a lot of writings on their items like amplifiers or CD players. This is kind of charm of the Japan electronic industry from that times (80's especially): many buttons, many writings...
Thank you! I also like this less is more approach as opposed to the typical 20 words written here and there. That style also has its own charm but in watches I prefer this more minimalistic approach!
+ very comfortable + nice for small rist + very simple and minimalist + good price - hardly readable, small digits - only one alarm (I use two for morning alarms) - upper left button hard to reach 8.5/10 Good watch for nice price. Reliable.
I have the same model. At a Black Friday sale I got tempted by the stealthty look, with the negative display and without all the typical Casio texting on the case. I have a 6.5 inch wrist as well, and the square models work fine for me too. I've been using it with an added bull bar mostly at work , were it takes some serious beatings and often get splashed with various wet cement-like material. Perfect to just wash and clean it afterwards, even though it looks very used by now lol. I love the look, but the negative display is kinda hard to read in darker environments (I often have to use the light button) so today I would've gone with the classic model instead for work. I've actually been thinking about getting another BB-model to use "in private" though, and keep it in better condition just because this particular model is a favourite look wise. And maybe experiment with some different straps as well.
I can imagine a g-shock being almost the only option in a work-environment like that! Probably a good idea to get a new one to keep in better condition if the one at work takes an absolute beating :) Thanks for an interesting comment as usual mate!
Bought this watch the other day and it came this morning. Wore it today for the first time. Not counting my smaller casios, this watch feels like its not even on with how light it is. I was crazy about this watch when i first saw it a year or two ago. The negative display being my main concern, but it grew on me. Had no problems reading the display on the sunny day we had today. Definitely going to be my daily watch for awhile.
Great review once again ☺️There are atlest jay and kays, who makes metal adaptors suitable for this model. I got their adapters and they are substantially smaller than your plastic ones. I can also recommend upgrading the original strap with a GW-5000 strap. It is basically the same strap, but made out off nicer and softer rubber. I even boiled 30 minutes my GW-5000 strap, to make it even softer, which does work. Currently I got aliexpress "combi-bracelet" on my 5600BB, which is a nice cheap bracelet option too. A bull bar to protect the crystal is also something that you might want consider. Keep up the good work! 👍☺️
Thank you Markku for your nice feedback! Thanks especially for sharing those tips with me and anyone who might read them😊I will have to check those out (and probably end up buying something haha!)

Great video! I agree that particular Gshock looks like a better fit than the Casio Royale. The all black is very cool . I had the Casio too and got rid of it because it was too large and my square Gshock fits better. My wrist is 17cm or about 6.7 inches.
I bought mine yesterday, it seemed very dark and not bright like in your video. Only on certain angles I could clearly read the numbers. Changed the battery, same thing. Is this normal for this model?
Great review, am a fan of GW m5610u g shock model , unfortunately it's not available in my country can you suggest similar model in terms of looks and features
Hey man I want to buy this watch but the things you say at 7:00 - 7:15 what does that mean because I already have a casio watch and it is losing time (clock) does this watch also do the same
Well it means that it is very accurate and only very rarely need adjusting. I would say you maybe need to set it +\- 1-2minutes twice per year if you’re ok with it being +/-1min sometimes. It’s really easy to adjust the time and takes like 10seconds to do so I wouldn’t worry about that :)
@@NordicWatchChannel im okay with that its only 1 min. But one last question can this G shock watch be near any metal device because that watch i wear right now (also a casio not a G shock) does not like to be near any metal device
@@NordicWatchChannel I have just read more on google and it says If you wear a digital watch on a daily basis, you do not have to worry, as this type of watch is not affected of magnetically charged objects so Idk why my watch is lossing time 🤔
Not 100% sure but looks pretty much identical to me, if you don't pay attention to the color. Might not be a record holder but it sure is tough enough for most things, I dare to say!
