Finally a great review of invasion. I absolutely love this show and want it to go on for many future seasons. The acting, directing, and producing are top tier. I watch this show everynight before bedtime awaiting season 2 ❤
I agree with you it sucks for the people who don’t like the show, I myself really enjoyed it and rewatching for A 2nd time and admit I do hit the fast fwd during the Jasa scenes.
If there was ever a "glass is half full" review this is it. I gave up halfway through episode 4. I'm all for slow burns but after sinking 3 hours into this show I've gotten nothing back in return except a small glimpse of... something. With so many other shows competing for our time this one really failed to hook me in. It's the first Apple TV+ show I've seen that's been a disappointment.
Thank you and agreed. I’m not even draw in by the characters, more annoyed by them and their emotional actions with none of them actually focused on finding out anything. I got bored at around the same point.
Same here.. I almost dropped it.. and then I decided to press on, and I'm so glad I did. After the third episode, one of them ends up being one of the most heart-pumping moments of any alien encounter I've ever watched. After the third episode... you have to keep watching... you'll get hooked, majorly.
I don't get all the hate this show is getting. I just finished it and I absolutely loved it. Shamir is my favorite on the show and Aneesha was top tier. But it was a really good story. I think alot of people are missing the point.
I agree man, this show is soooooo good!! Brings me back to the days when shows had mystery to them. There are so many kids hating this because they need something to happen within 20min or they lose interest… none of them have seen x files, one of the best si fi shows of all time, people need to realize some stories take multiple seasons for things to unfold. I love this show, I’m a huge sifi nerd. Legit brings me back to the days of watching x files Friday night live.
Not liking the show has nothing to do with age. I'm pretty sure some here are older than you and are also familiar with sci-fi. Apart from the boredom factor, the dialogues are really, really flat and poorly written. There is a lack of logic in many scenes and people behave completely stupidly. (I'm sure British quarries have ways out and why isn't there a bit of water in that hole anyway? But never mind, obviously today's students are all proficient in alpine climbing without a belay) And to compare x-files with Invasion is absurd because in most of the episodes the storylines are self-contained (except for some mythology episodes). So it's exactly the opposite of Invasion. I would also like to point out that movies like Independence Day already managed in the 90s to show an alien invasion from beginning to end in 138 minutes. Of course, that is not the claim for this series. But it shows how storytelling can work without viewers still being bored after 7 episodes. Nevertheless, I am of course happy for you that you like Invasion. Strangely enough, I also stay tuned and watch the new episode every Friday night ;-) If you like science fiction, I can also recommend the Amazon show "The Expansion". This one is a real gem.
Here's an X-files mystery: what happened to the first two storylines, the one with the sheriff and the other with the Argentine family? This was a garbage series.
I just discovered this series a week ago. I was hesitant to get into it because online reviews are brutal but when I saw Invasion had been renewed for a 2nd season I decided to give it a watch. Just finished episode 10 and although it was a downer in terms of action in comparison to episodes 8 and 9 it worked to set up season 2.
I agree with everything! This show is UNREAL! SOOO SOOO SOOOOOO GOOD!!!! The character development is fantastic. The relationships and the human reactions all just feel so real which is what easily draws me in makes me invested in each and every one of them! I just can't get enough!
So u tell me that in situation where we been attacked by aliens u wpuld stop at a dinner to make some food for ur familiy rip. Was much of cliches served sometimes good and sometimes rly bad
I love the character development! This show is DIFFERENT. Its supposed to be about the PEOPLE and how they react to the invasion. I like that we are still caught in a huge mystery but also i do hope season 2 moves a little faster now that we know the characters.
Whenever I think about aliens invading the earth I think to myself "What about some mom with a couple of kids and marital problems? Is her and her husband going to stay together?" and "Whatabout that southern sheriff (who totally isn't irish) and his childish philosophies about life?" and I can't forget about Japan. What's some random girl in Japan up to? That's where the real nitty gritty is. Riveting stuff, absolutely riveting. Especially when I don't speak the language and there's no CC. Then I can spend all my time not having a clue or caring about what is even happening. I love having the aliens be background characters in my Alien Invasion movies. What's Judy from down the block up to? Is her dog going to get the nail manicure we all know it deserves?
I couldn't have said it better👍🏾😀 We were tricked into thinking the show was about an Alien Invasion. How silly of us to expect to see aliens in an alien invasion show.
For starters... this is NOT "Independance Day," or another cheese-ass alien flick. I think people get turned off from Invasion because it's such a slow build-up. I am so glad they are continuing to do season two in the face of reviews because this show is awesome. You have to be in for the long haul to get the full implications of all the character development. Because when you finally get to the encounter, you'll be gripping the edge of your seat. They knew what they were doing in creating this show. Imagine your regular mundane life being invaded by a terrifying unknown.. the world collapsing around you, and you have no clue what you're even up against. All you see are the results... the military, abandoned homes, dead bodies, etc., before even seeing anything, first hand. With a typical invasion story, these details are constantly pushed aside for the action. Most alien flicks excuse the human element for the sake of getting to the encounter and conflict, but spend little time exploring the lives of the people involved. Thats what the creators set out to do. This show is NOT about giving you what you want, or what you think you should expect. And honestly, I almost didn't finish it. Watching 3-4 hours of it and not seeing one alien, i started to doubt where this show was going, just because its so different. I wasnt sure if it was leading up to anything, or if this perspective of the world disrupted and the cause remaining a mystery was going to remain and be the entirety of the show... i put it down for a while until i finally thought I wanted to see where it was going, even if it was disappointing. And then, holy sh!t, i dont think any horror film got my heart racing like this did. And i believe its due to the fact that the reality of every character's position in life with the every-day struggles that follow them into the present condition are so ingrained and prevalent that it keeps you attached to them in that realistic perspective. There's a bit of sand in every oyster... an irritent that doesn't just go away when the world collapses. This is what the show focuses on in the beginning, but from multiple stories, establishing detailed personas and situations, so it takes a while. The creators, i believe, have something big in mind. And to be effective and to do it right, it needs to have strong roles with every character, equally having time dedicated to understanding who they are. They followed though and it is so, SO GOOD. For those who came to watch a show about aliens and are expecting things to happen a certain way, they're going to be disappointed. For anyone who enjoys complex storytelling and can comfortably follow the progression for hours, there's something here for you. For either, just keep watching because the payoff is huge. Again... this show is not about fufilling expectations, but if you want a show that is going to bring you closer to what it feels like to be in an actual alien invasion, then this is it! I believe that season 2 is going to be incredible, its going to shine, and i can't wait.
I too enjoyed this series and cant wait for season two. The critical and fan reception has been very divided, but I think a lot of people didn't have the patience for the slow burn, deep character development that was going on.
Only just caught this show and once i finish a show i always jump to YT to see what others thought and youre the first who i agree with, this is a character lead show where we are viewing personal takes on an alien invasion. The first few videos that popped up were all hating on the show for being slow and not showing the aliens.... r/whoosh if you ask me. They dont get it. Cant wait for S2...
I'm halfway there, I want to like this show, I think this would have done better if it all was released at one time, otherwise there's not enough to really keep you interested, I'm not saying it has to be like Independence Day, I like how they're doing the story, but the first four episodes should have been the first two episodes if you cut out a lot of people staring off into the distance LOL.
Thanks for the video. I really look forward to starting both Invasion and Foundation on Apple TV. Both shows did not get very good reviews at all, but I'm sure I will enjoy most of what the shows have to offer. Funny how everyone here loves the show, but rotten tomatoes and other review sites really did not like it so much. My question is why does every disaster movie or show have to have characters that start off at the lowest point in their life? Something which must be taught in drama/director school or something, LOL! I hope you guys here are right, I hope I really love this show. Thanks again!
Have watched the first 2 episodes and unfortunately this feels like so many of Netflix series where the SciFi is just the backdrop for lots of woke drama. As an old SciFi fan all I can say is SciFi is dead. What we have today is emo drama masquerading as SciFi. They put just enough SciFi to make you think its gonna finally switch to monsters/action...but no. Just more emo drama stringing you along while you hope for something to happen. Worst example of this "simmering emo Scifi" was Netflix series based on the Stephen King classic "The Mist". Watched all the episodes and there was not a single monster. Not one!!! Today's SciFi is like munching on styrofoam pretending the next bite will somehow morph into hot buttered popcorn.
If you really watched the mist you sould kno the monsters are a military developed weapon it revealed itself towards the end as a shadowy foggish person/alien are entity season 2 would have explained it more had the show not canceled
The Mist show? The monsters are not developed by the military. The military created a machine to open portals and there was some sort of accident and it malfunctioned? That show sucked.
I don’t know man. I love the other Apple + series’ and I thought going in that this had a chance to be one of my favs but……….the characters are boring as a mug. The show is toned in complete depression. It reminds me of The Leftovers only it is no where near as clever or well written. The narrative moves at such a slow pace that the hitting with a cliffhanger the last 5 mins does nothing but frustrate you because the next episode is right back to the trudge pace. And I usually loooove a slow burn and deep character dives but these characters are not deep enough to dive into. The only one I didn’t get annoyed with was the Sam Neil character who didn’t even show up in EPS 2 & 3. I’m going to try abd hang in there a little longer but this writer has a mixed track record. This trends towards his fail side so far for me.
I very rarely watch review UA-cam videos, but this show was on such another level that I had to find the community that is feeling and saw when I just witnessed. I'm a big sci-fi buff. I grew up binge watching Independence day, war of the worlds, and Star wars for the majority of my childhood. So I'm a little biased in the sense of I love alien invasion style movies.. but this one - - this was on such a whole another level! It fulfilled everything I wanted in the show about alien attacking earth and then gave me extra to think about. I'm surprised that this series isn't blowing up all over the internet and media. I feel like perhaps Apple TV's reputation as being newer and piggybacking off of Netflix's subscription style probably hurt the launch of this show more than helped. It's only a matter of time before this is the next bridgeton. squid games has nothing on this show!
Same in regards to finding the community that enjoyed the show. I’m here searching. Loved the show. So thankful it was made. There is so much negativity towards the show but it would not be the first time when something magical released and was rejected. Can not wait to see season 2! It needs better marketing. Apple TV instagram only posted 3 vids buried in post about other shows. They didn’t seem focused on advertising/ publicity.
Exactly .. the actors are good enough , it’s just poorly written and executed , so it comes off as really dull instead of a slow burn .. lets not mention the CGI muzzle flashes that looked like a 13 year old UA-camr made them !!!.. lol..
This show to me was just interesting enough to keep me coming back. However the pacing was in times way to slow. I mean i get it, but damn. Especially when they were in Japan. The constant obsessing over the girlfs death was abit much considering there are ALIENS destroying the earth. Def character driven series. But just needs a bit more punch.
Don't nobody give AF about the stories of the people in it???.. Don't market a show about a scifi alien invasion.. but have me slog through the issues of a married couple because one cheated... Is it SCIFI or is it another young adult drama?
@@hypeman1825 i loved the characters some of they're storys hit me emotionally and i dig the fact that not every thing has to be about explosions and guns
@@hypeman1825 but ur statement is wrong from the very beginning cause i and lots of people do care about characters and a lot of pep i know are sick of everything having to be fast paste full of action nonsense that this low attention span culture needs
I like the show, but I just want to know if it's just me or do they use filters on the actors and do certain scenes look too green screened? Some scenes actually look like they are animated as if the actors aren't being used.
I also found the first three episodes to be very lengthy and rather boring. If you want to tell 5 or 6 stories in parallel and also explain the backgrounds of the characters, you need a lot of time. I don't see that the people who actually expected an alien invasion sci-fi series will spend so much time and tolerance to watch hours of family dramas first.
Totally agree. I actually enjoyed watching the first three episodes. It is good to watch how the invasion affected human lives in different perspectives.
I don’t mind the slow burn and character building. I actually enjoyed that part of it. My issue was that the show set up multiple plot points that were never explained are tied together within the story line. It’s like they were pointless. It left a lot hanging and not explained.
If you take a step back and ponder the concept of the show, you realize this wasn’t pointless. Think about what they did with the Sam Neill storyline. They invested in the character, showing him at the end of his career, wrestling with questions of whether he had met his purpose in life. You feel for him (like with the other characters) and you may even share his hope when he descends into the sand trap. He’s onto something. He’s going to have his moment. And then he’s gone. That’s death. That’s what it does. Questions are left unanswered. Things are left unsaid. You have to realize there’s nothing to follow up in that town. It died just like its sheriff just like millions of other townships across the planet. That’s the message.
Thank you... When it comes to conducting reviews, much needs to be understood first and foremost , having the ability to know how to leave ones own personal wants of a show/ movie out of breaking the show down is highly commendable and what I seek out ...when sharing personal wants of a show , the context must be made so viewers know the difference and their take on a show isn't sullied by personal bias..so I am very selective with whom I sub to in the reviews community ....Just focusing on what is thought a show should be about when not the creators isn't it.....shows/movies being made lately are not going to just be Abt what Folks are used to seeing about a particular genre ....Ignoring this gets in the way of conducting a proper review.. maybe ..just maybe..the creators meant to tell the story the way the story is being told and may just want the audience to become aware of certain aspects prior to revealing what folks want to see instantly.. important to consider... as instant gratification is not always a feeling to give into...). I also believe that for this particular show the invasion was not going to be mega aggressive out in the open..this kind of invasion was much more sinister as it was meant to be aggressive in secret ways... .. I grew tired of seeing invasion plots being done the same way so this was a breath of fresh air being done differently .... Understanding the intent of shows/movies..etc....this puts one in a better position to conduct proper reviews and or breakdowns...... .. just found ya 😄 and I'm just now able to get into Invasion
I watching it in 2 days and thought it was a boring slog of a show. Focusing on petty human drama and ignoring the existential crisis facing the planet. For a show called invasion it shows the bare minimum of the invasion. Sam Neil was probably glad he was killed off immediately. This is the best metaphor for this show… imagine you are a desperate alcoholic atheist needing your fix, you go to a local church because you know churches use alcohol and it’s free. Although it’s the Easter vigil, a 3 hour service, you wait for communion to get sweet relief, maybe chug that chalice you fantasize. You go through all this human sacrificial cult nonsense just to get to the front of the line to find there’s just a sip of wine left. All that misery for nothing. That is Invasion.
I was actually bored with this show. Yes, character development and backstories… all good.. ok. BUT!!! I really wanted to see aliens. For me it was a big let down. 😔
@@BigGoldBelt nah...its not. And Apple shows overall arent very good, albeit they spend A LOT of money on them. Ted Lasso is excellent...morning show is BORING now.... meh
There were three episodes? Cloverfield had less budget and time than a tv series and it delivered a better story. I like a good slow burn character development and universe set up but where this show had failed for me so far is with the "hook". I didn't feel shocked or curious about that slow burn invasion. I hope it gets better with time or let's see more interesting characters.
I had to subscribe you can't go wrong with anyone who likes Darkwing Duck. Great review keep up the good work you'll soon start to get a lot of subscribers
This is the first apple origial that is disappointing. Sorry but I snored so hard before the first episode finsihed. And yes I finished episode 2 and 3 and I should have ended with episode 1.
The Apple TV Trailer for this was about Alien Invasion??? WHERE ARE THE ALIEN’s? I started writing a long detailed review on how boring it was, and then I stopped. I didn’t want to be like Apple TV and take 6 hours to tell everyone that watching 6 episodes of the “character development” was a waste of time. I’m going back to HULU and watch the last episode of the cancelled “Y” The last man. At Least Hulu knows when to pull the plug. I can’t wait for the announcement that season 2 of Invasion is cancelled.
This show has so much potential but why would anyone care about a couple having marital issues in the beginning of the apocalypse. Slow burn tv shows are normally good but this cast just straight up sucks, in my opinion. If I see more of Sam Neil and the Navy Seal and a lot less of the family issues this might be a good show.
Exactly. She catches him cheating. Then catches him on phone call why beat a dead horse. Series garbage. They spend whole movie analyzing peoples lives. If you want to watch good alien series go watch War of Worlds on Epix.
Because it humanizes them. One of the most intriguing things about the sci-fi and apocalyptic genre, is seeing what we, as humans, will do. How will we react? Showing a married couple not be able to even come close to working on their issues is a refreshing and intimate take into the character development in a show like this.
I felt it was extremely poorly written and at times blatantly lazy. Examples: no explanation for swimming through space, kid being wheeled down a hall through a door and magically intubated, mom who loves her kids just leaves her kids without hesitation, government trying to be an authority to make hard decisions easily caving in every scene to the whining of one single person who loves someone, aliens who seemingly can’t die by small guns but can by big guns. It goes on and on. The aliens looked really cool and unique, unfortunately, due to the constant plot armor and lack of writing, this show failed to meet the potential. It tries to be a smart and provocative drama but nothing really happens the entire time and instead of rooting for these characters you just get annoyed with every one of them.
Have to be one of the most boring tv series this year. Top of that makers of it didn’t know what they are doing: is it a sci-fi alien invasion (as it was advertised) or ‘bad marriage' family drama. It’s all over the place and the same time going nowhere, which is some kind of achievement it self tbh.
The terrifying part is most of people in the Comment section are loving the Serie The only way this is possible is. Most men in the comment section have a fetish for being Worthless and simping in the eyes of a woman. I swear
I loved this show the acting was excellent the plots had its super emotional heart wrenching moments i cant wait for the second season pep who are upset there was not enough action and explosions need to just go watch transformers and stick to that crap instead of watching well thought out storys such as this
its not good the moment phrase like "always up to the women to get it done" happened with the astronaut it became apparent every guy bad, every girl amazing and good, its painful to social agenda
Just watched the 10 episodes and as a fan of sci-fi and slow burn movies .... I really didn't like it. I also didn't appreciate how the trailer didn't match the pace of the serie. As if they realised something was off. There are also so many plot holes. Spoiler warning => During the whole serie, they try their best to show that the protagonists are all alone. Roads are empty, houses are empty, cities are empty. No planes, no transport, nothing. Then, at the end, the aliens are defeated and everyone is on the streets, all communications work, tv channels broadcast .. minutes after the defeat ... What? With seemingly millions of death, the earth should be swarming with aliens .. again nothing Where are all the bodies? They show that they leave the bodies behind and just slaughter them .. So where are they? Where is the blood? Remember, this is happening during the course of a few days. The trailer is packed with action and on the 8h this show lasts, I think there is a total of 20 minutes of combat scenes. The biggest action scene is between humans ??? Don't even get me started about Sam Neil .. I tuned in to see him. Well that went sour real quick. When you combine all this, you just ask yourselve what it was all for and the show as well have started with the arrival of the big alien ship at the end and start from there .. So no ...
I like the show, but it's so hard to relate to. I mean, when have we ever, in real life, faced a global threat that affected literally everyone...so that showing the story from five different world-wide perspectives would even make sense? I can't think of even one such example. Some global threat that would show us how working together, for one another, would benefit us all, but we'd still make decisions against this obvious tenet because of global hierarchy, nationalism, human selfishness, conspiratorial thinking, etc. Nope, not a single example I can think of. Nope. Nope.
World war 1 and world war 2. Literally affected everyone. Globe came together took care of threat and then ushered in a century of global growth and pulling people out of poverty allowing countries with no resources to become powerhouses global economy.
This show is one of the most boringly slow burning shows ever made! the stories are very boring and unrealistic, it's very badly written I had to skip a lot of the parts, especially the one with the family and the kids! Don't waste your time episode 7 and still nothing interesting happened....
The first three episodes were boring , the only interesting character was the sheriff who appeared only in the first episode and hasnt been mentioned since and the whole thing is so woke it sent me to sleep!
You are an old fashioned sexist like me👍🏾👍🏾😀😀😂 They killed off an household name(Carey Grant just kidding. Sam Niel) in acting in the 1st episode, then have the other main male characters be weak, incompetent cowards. And the two main females are brave, competent, resourceful and smarter than the males including the boss of Japan's equivalent of NASA.
Well was pretty lame most times amd not because it was character driven, because they dragged out every moment they could and it often felt artifically stretcht and even some decison the familiy made where out of any logic... This show is in my opinion just a 4/10
Foundation LOOKS great, but the pacing SUCKS... Invasion has potential but the 1st three episodes are boring due to TOO MUCH character development...they WANT me to give a shit too much while explaining very little about wtf is going on.... Invasion seems WAAAAYYYY better than FOUNDATION tho...so far.
Absolutely abysmal. Long, mawkish face shots gaslighting as emotion. Terrible music, mostly a single, keening note. Terribly written with characters making stupid decisions and a plot that makes no sense. And worst of all, swimming in space. Ugh.
Worse then worse a show about nothing that goes nowhere that we need to buy the most expensive streaming device and on top of that have to pay monthly fee to be insulted with this garbage. You will see more reviews hating this show than liking it.
I disagree completely!! 1000% It’s a lame sci-fi soap opera. All that’s missing is the rich family a will and a poor person that inherits everything. It’s a PC propaganda piece. Nothing more nothing less. Jeez why did they WASTE good production revenue on making this hunk of junk. It’s crap
That has to be the worst sci-fi series I’ve ever seen. I don’t mind slow and developing characters but that was far too so slow, virtually nothing happened and virtually no aliens. Worst series I’ve ever seen. Truly awful. How on earth could you say it was good, wow. There was no correlation between the sets of characters either. To think I signed up to Apple TV to watch this dross. Apple TV is pretty terrible too compared to Netflix and Amazon prime. Even Disney is far better. Finch was slow but at least it was interesting.
I don’t think I’ve watched a show which has as many useless characters as this one. The show concept and story is great; the actors are meh, I could careless about them. All of them focused on their own inner emotional conflicts as opposed to the actual alien invasion and task at hand-those are the people that die first in most movies 💩💩💩 It draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaags. If anything most of them suffer from different levels of trust issues.
Honestly i can't stand the Lesbian love story, or whatever the hell it's. I just don't care and I get bored every time her story is going. I think my favorite char so far is the soldier.
Too many characters some I can care less about, its a Sci-fi show. To me it is not good at all, why to slow and not interesting. You don't seem objective about it, the show isn't that good. You can think what you like though. For me is needs to pick up more and by 3rd ep. It should of, it think the kids in the bus storyline isn't needed. I will see how next episode is, need less character development. Too many story lines.
I load of badly written woke nonsense. Weak characters with no storylines lots of meaningful gazers with David Bowie song thrown in for good measure. This has been the biggest waste of time ever. Can I have the 10 hours of my life but I have wasted watching This and waiting for a story to develop.
Bored shitless. This is terrible TV. Sam Neil episode one. The story dropped . The scripts are awful . You must be having a laugh. Simon kinberg ....say no more....really bad screen writer .
So you went out of your way to find someone who enjoyed the show, so you could tell them how shitty you think the show is? Must be a fun life shitting on people who have a good time.
I literally just found out about invasion last week and me and my friend binge watch it sooo quick! Im so hype because the new season drop august

Bhahahaha
I'm giving up on the next episode unless the aliens take center stage...
Hopefully they also tone down the cheating husband soap opera B.S.. 🤮
LMFAOOOOO this is so accurate.
😂😂😂 facts!!!!!!!
Character development is important but the story needs to pick up pace and some of the scenarios and characters are a little predictable
Promise you, keep watching
It’s literally one of the best shows ever but you don’t get it. That’s your problem.
I just binged watched it last night it came out 2k20 is there no season 2? Ima be salty if not really wanted to what Casps connection was w them
I'm halfway there, I want to like this show, I think this would have done better if it all was released at one time, otherwise there's not enough to really keep you interested, I'm not saying it has to be like Independence Day, I like how they're doing the story, but the first four episodes should have been the first two episodes if you cut out a lot of people staring off into the distance LOL.
Just started this show and I love it so far
Just started watching this show and its just amazing. A must watch for SciFi movies and show fans.
Apple TV has been killing it. They believe in the slow burn which in todays microwave attention span era is not for alot of folks but i love em
Just curious.. how did you watch the whole thing already?
Jesus christ dude...did you literally post this comment on all the Invasion reviews?! lmao
Who hurt you?
facts, actually
You commented this on every review of the show lmao, we get it you don’t like the show. No need to post dozens of the same comment lmao…
Episode 5 for sure will have you
@@BigGoldBelt YESSSSS!
Thank you my brother 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Of course! Thanks for sharing your input on this show 🙂
Same in regards to finding the community that enjoyed the show.
This show is criminally underrated.
I find it boring. Some of the cast just don’t have chemistry.
Promise you it comes together … I wonder who you feel for. Have chemistry
Yeah, this show is sh¡t so far, and boring as f🤬k.
Exactly .. the actors are good enough , it’s just poorly written and executed , so it comes off as really dull instead of a slow burn .. lets not mention the CGI muzzle flashes that looked like a 13 year old UA-camr made them !!!.. lol..
Why do so much people hate, it’s a great show, they are trying there best on the CGI because aliens aren’t real, well at least….. now
So much boring filler scene. There’s even time for a 4 second Doritos on the floor shot.
This show brings an entirely new meaning to slow burn. It’s like watching a glacier move, even 5 episodes in. 🤣
Finally, an alien invasion show that respects its audience enough to take its time and actually tell some stories!!!
Don't nobody give AF about the stories of the people in it???.. Don't market a show about a scifi alien invasion.. but have me slog through the issues of a married couple because one cheated...
Is it SCIFI or is it another young adult drama?
Agreed its not always about explosions and guns and shit like that
@@hypeman1825 i loved the characters some of they're storys hit me emotionally and i dig the fact that not every thing has to be about explosions and guns
@@hypeman1825 but ur statement is wrong from the very beginning cause i and lots of people do care about characters and a lot of pep i know are sick of everything having to be fast paste full of action nonsense that this low attention span culture needs
@@hypeman1825 i mean look at the comments there are obviously pep who like shit like this so u need to say YOU dont care not Nobody dont care
This has been on my radar for months now. Appreciate the review
Well said👍🏾
... This Series JUST ENDED a couple days ago on December 10th. How are you releasing a "SERIES" review for it in October?
I was given early access to the entire season to review. Thank you for watching and hope you subscribe for more early reviews
Season 2 review dropping tomorrow
@@rhabdoviridae You’re entitled to your opinion/evaluation of the show and I mine. I think it was somewhat lazy writing.
I loved it. I just watched it and cant wait till season 2,
Thank you...
I like the show so far
We clearly watched two very different series.
I was actually bored with this show. Yes, character development and backstories… all good.. ok. BUT!!! I really wanted to see aliens. For me it was a big let down. 😔
Great review! I can’t wait to watch this!!!!
Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽 it’s so good
@@BigGoldBelt nah...its not.
Where are the aliens though?
Chill
Other reviews give actuall good points about why invasion is not good if you ask me
This is the first apple origial that is disappointing.
I can’t wait for the announcement that season 2 of Invasion is cancelled.
why the kid didn't have a nosebleed? never explained
SEE is also great lead actor is jason mamoa
This show has so much potential but why would anyone care about a couple having marital issues in the beginning of the apocalypse. Slow burn tv shows are normally good but this cast just straight up sucks, in my opinion. If I see more of Sam Neil and the Navy Seal and a lot less of the family issues this might be a good show.
Because even in the end of the world, people can't let go of their issues.
This show is an example of get to the point. It takes 35 minutes to inform us of 10 minutes of actual plot. This is not an invasion, it’s boredom.
I’m here just to check if people felt the same like me about this show it’s so so good
It's crazy 😧. This show had nothing good to portray about Men. Every scene was against Men.
You are not alone,I thought the same.
The terrifying part is most of people in the Comment section are loving the Serie
The only way this is possible is. Most men in the comment section have a fetish for being Worthless and simping in the eyes of a woman. I swear
I loved this show the acting was excellent the plots had its super emotional heart wrenching moments i cant wait for the second season pep who are upset there was not enough action and explosions need to just go watch transformers and stick to that crap instead of watching well thought out storys such as this
This show is epic
I liked it too and excited about season 2.
its not good
the moment phrase like "always up to the women to get it done" happened with the astronaut it became apparent
every guy bad, every girl amazing and good, its painful to social agenda
Just watched the 10 episodes and as a fan of sci-fi and slow burn movies .... I really didn't like it. I also didn't appreciate how the trailer didn't match the pace of the serie. As if they realised something was off. There are also so many plot holes.
Spoiler warning =>
During the whole serie, they try their best to show that the protagonists are all alone. Roads are empty, houses are empty, cities are empty. No planes, no transport, nothing. Then, at the end, the aliens are defeated and everyone is on the streets, all communications work, tv channels broadcast .. minutes after the defeat ... What?
With seemingly millions of death, the earth should be swarming with aliens .. again nothing
Where are all the bodies? They show that they leave the bodies behind and just slaughter them .. So where are they? Where is the blood?
Remember, this is happening during the course of a few days.
The trailer is packed with action and on the 8h this show lasts, I think there is a total of 20 minutes of combat scenes. The biggest action scene is between humans ???
Don't even get me started about Sam Neil .. I tuned in to see him. Well that went sour real quick.
When you combine all this, you just ask yourselve what it was all for and the show as well have started with the arrival of the big alien ship at the end and start from there ..
So no ...
2 episodes in im trying be patient lol
Lol 😂 seriously I watch all 5 ep it’s was boring as hell.
Making such a bad show about aliens is an impressive fete.
I was with you until you said invasion is better than foundation!
@@steazy45jug69 yeah. That was a few episodes in. It got baaaaad. 😂
Boring, boring and boring. It's supposed to be a slow burn but the fire got lit
Apple lost in this one
Taiyou
I don’t know bro, I’m not digging it. Seems like a ripoff of the Epix channel version of War of the Worlds
Its also an adaptation of the War of the worlds,so...
Too slow..
This show is horrific!
This show was beyond boring totall watchless waste of time i you liked this i don't know what to say.
If only that Japanese lesbian drama shit not there..they ruined it with that shit
Just binged the whole thing. SO GOOD! And I’m a HARSH critic.
This show sucks
I couldn’t stand the Japanese chick, I found myself fast forwarding her parts towards the end 🤷🏾♂️
Nude scene more than alien
What am I watching ?
The show is amazing!!! I love the development of characters, they'll all connect
The characters are so annoying!! Bad acting and as interesting as in low budget B movies.
I don’t think I’ve watched a show which has as many useless characters as this one.
The show concept and story is great; the actors are meh, I could careless about them. All of them focused on their own inner emotional conflicts as opposed to the actual alien invasion and task at hand-those are the people that die first in most movies 💩💩💩
It draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaags.
The Aliens picked up the Woke virtue signalling throughout the first 3 episodes and decided to bug out and go home.
Hahahahahahaha good one👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾😂😂
I lisetened to the first three episodes. Then got bored. Who would have guess that its a tv series, when you cant see shit.
