Dave has good principles but I have different opinions on certain things. Having a high credit score has helped us get the lowest rate possible for our mortgage, which is saving us money.

For example, it's like having alcohol in the refrigerator but you know someone in your house may be an alcoholic. You won't have any alcohol in the house because what it can do to the person who's a alcoholic. Same method applies to credit card. If you can't stop spending and only spend what showing in your budget. Don't get a credit card Bec it's not good for you.
For me, I treat my credit card like my debit card. Only spend what in my budget. I took advantage of the points and received free money on buying what's in my budget. Free money if you ask me. Everything what we do is all about a person behavior. Hope this helps.
