Peter loaned Gary his '59 Les Paul with aa accidentally reversed-polarity pickup that gave it its unique tone on which Peter played the early Fleetwood Mac magnum opuses, so Peter was Gary's mentor. Peter eventually sold it to him for about $300 in todays money. After having it for about a quarter of a century, Gary sold/traded the guitar for probably a pittance. It showed up in public again when Kirk Hammett of Metallica bought it for a measly $2 million.
i will probably get hated for this but i prefer 10000 times more peter greens "version". live AND studio, probably subjective but peter just gives me chills. he just had that something, like a connection with another dimension. no one else gives me the joy peter gives me.
I'm pretty certain that Gary would have agreed with you on this one. Gary is a monster, but he didn't have Peter's voice for blues. Gary is hard to beat for his finger dexterity though. As with PG, he was a giant among giants.
Check out John Norums(Europe)version its much better then Garys!Norum has more feel then Gary can you believe it!More feel then Gary is that possible?!In this case yes!Gary plays it to fast and it doesnt groove as much as Johns version plus John is a better singer.
Rock, Blues electric ,acoustic, solo ,in a band , everything Gary did was brilliant.
Magical Guitar's God!!!....My endless love Gary Moore!
Gary Moore on acoustic! Fine stuff!
Yet another example of why he was a master at his craft.
A great song of a genuis perfected by another genius
He is incredible
Rest easy Mr Moore
Sick peter green cover. He really looked upto peter green.
i love it..
Excellent!
Great that he’s playing a Lowden guitar from his his home turf. A guitar worthy of his talent.
As a teen I wanted to apprentice with them… but I was in Germany and my parents wouldn’t let me go 🤣
Best !!!
Love how he looked up to peter and wantted to recognize his music

Jesus no swing, no feel. Peter has a very particular rhythm in this song.
Great !!!!!!!!!
Love this.
When everything is over the top, nothing is.
Gary is flirting with his guitar ,,, 🎸🎤🎶💕💞

Classic song, I have done a small guitar lesson video on this track over on my channel.
Gary never really played any wrong notes...
"If you make a mistake, it's jazz. If you make it again it's an arrangement." - Jorma Kaukonen
I saw him in Birmingham and unfortunately the only thing I remember is when he missed a note 😩
That Gary was that good seems to make Eric even better... At least in the realm of 12 bars :).
Good bluesy song, but where are the dancing chicks.
osuu tääkin
....
Peter Green plays this So much better but its a great effort by Gary Moore....😁
What was it with this guy trying to be "Greeny" with a fraction of the talent. Dearie me!

I listened and i dont like. Gary is too bluesy than john.
