The “Everyone is Here” trailer is going to go down as the single most legendary video game reveal in all of history.
Its a shame that due to covid, these things arent possible for a while
It's up there but I wouldn't say it's the most legendary. Snake's reveal for Brawl did for the entire internet what Steve's reveal did to Twitter.

I’d like to tell you all a story:
Sakurai enters his bedroom and hops onto his laptop. He just came home from a long day at work trying to finish Smash Ultimate in time. The kids are asleep. His wife stayed up to wait for him.
“Aren’t you tired honey? You should come to bed and get some rest.” She tells him. He looks at her lovingly. “Just a minute sweet heart.” He opens a new tab and pulls up UA-cam. He searches for “Nintendo E3 live reactions” and clicks on a video titled, “Nintendo E3 2018 Live reactions at Nintendo NY”
He skips to the Smash section of the direct. He sees the audience leap out of their seats with joy and excitement. He watches their reaction to every big announcement. He saw their shock and awe when Snake was revealed. He witnessed the hype of the audience when he announced Daisy. When they revealed the new mechanics. When he showed them major changes to the cast. He saw their ecstatic outburst when Ridley was revealed, and he saw how happy they were when it was announced to be released December 7th, 2018.
He closed the window. Left his computer desk, and went over to his wife who was waiting for him still. He said, “You are right honey, I am tired...”
“But when I see the joy I bring people through what I do. I can’t help but be filled with energy. I do this for more than money, for more than fame...”

Well I certainly wasn't expecting the last half to be so much Smash. But damn the signs about it being a new game were correct all this time.

It is kinda a new game. It is clearly _based off_ of the Wii U game, but with an absolute ton of tweaks and refinements (and new texture work on the characters), and with a handful of extra characters. Really it is the best of both worlds. If it had absolutely been rebuilt from the ground up in a new engine (which would have been completely unnecessary), there would have only been a trickle feed of characters as each would have had to been built from scratch one at a time. This way they are able to sprint out of the gate with 65 characters from the start (an absolutely insane roster for any fighting game), and then probably add even more as DLC, the same way Smash 4 did.
It has been built from the ground up in a new engine though. It uses Unreal Engine, unlike Smash 4
This most likely isn't the final roster, I mean. If you're gonna bring up DLC, that's also important to mention
Guilherme Nunes Oh sure, but even as it stands now, it is a *really* strong package: you get all of the characters from the Wii U version (including the DLC characters), and the addition/return of Solid Snake, Ice Climbers, Young Link, Pokemon Trainer, Wolf, Inkling, Daisy, Pichu, and Ridley. While there are always going to be new characters on people's wishlists, that is a damned strong foundation.

And thats why i like to watch my streamings alone, nobody shouts at the screen and nobody insults games that maybe you could like making you feeling bad for that, Daemon X Machina looks really good for me, but people was like "This is Smash?".
Speaking of Smash i wanted Lyn and Bomberman to be fighters mostly because i wanted amiibo from those and changes on Greninja like his Final Smash at least we got Daisy and probably will buy Ridley's one despite i dont like him.

Agreed, personally, Daemon X Machina looked good, Super Mario Party looks like a return to the original so I'm happy, and Hollow Knight, Overcooked 2, and Dragonball Fighter Z are on switch, it's amazing
