Eh, even under that dynamic, they'd probably spend most of the dogfight avoiding each other's guns and trying to get an angle with theirs. Which begs the further question, who builds a spaceship with guns that can't swivel?

It's good to skip taking BAD cards, but its still bad to NOT take GOOD cards, that you NEED.
1:14:11 - it's actually better to play the Shield Surge than save the energy and retract wings. Retracting wings avoids 1 damage... but Shield Surge nets you 1 additional shield as it also blocks the damage with the temp shield.

Yea, no. The game is just too easy on normal difficulty. I already beat my first 4 runs because i bought the game as soon as i saw the first 5 minutes of gameplay. Wait until NL starts playing on harder difficulties and with other characters. That is when the game starts getting interesting.
Because i didn't really watch NL play that much. I have a different style of play. When i saw him play after i played some, i was surprised at how differently he played his first run than me. While i played with mostly dogging and keeping my shields at max, aka didn't take more than 5 health the entire first run. He played with mostly blocking.
So that's my rambling two sence about it.
Conclusion: Don't say "no one else can achieve his greatness" before you play it yourself because you might be better.

I've been playing this most of my Sunday and it's so good
Slay the Spire does explain it's lore
Mostly from the Cursed Tome event
And from that, we learn that Neow is an "Ancient", and presumably, a lot of the events are interactions with "Ancients"
We arguably learn the most from the Council of Ghosts.
Anyways, Slay the Spire does have lore
Arguably good lore
But the thing is, the lore isn't what the game is about, and the designers know enough to not shove it down your throat and just let you play the game, and canonically, the characters you play don't know the lore, so you have to figure it out on your own
I'm actually a big fan of Slay the Spire's worldbuilding
Can't wait for Slay the Spire 2!

5 minutes in and he's already the best player. Tell him he's wrong. I dare you.
Pretty much the next several fights after getting the wing retract would make your statement invalid.
This was a great run. Dodge synergies really came together by the end; the ease with which he beat the final boss had me pogged up.

(In Norway we have this mixed product that's 70 % butter 30 % margarin. That's pretty good to get the softness of margarin and the taste of butter - but pure margarin is pure detritus, as Enelle would say.)

tbf the HP bar being through the middle of the ship makes it hard to tell what the pieces are
like you tried to stun the empty gun spot but the hp didn't make that clear, maybe the hp bar should be outside the ship, or a toggle or transparent etc etc
Everything game relevant is beneath the health bar except statuses

Sure, Slay the Spire, FTL, Binding of Isaac. Also, Balatro, Peglin… there’s a lot. If you’ve played any roguelikes, search those up because he’s probably played them. He’s also played the Souls games, Armored Core, and a lot more.

Removing isn't as good as an upgraded mjolnir if you don't already have an upgraded mjolnir. I'm not in a rush to draw my 1 upgraded basic attack, would rather have cards in the deck worth drawing before I'm slimming down the deck to draw them
