I know you posted this 11 mos ago, so hopefully you'll get this. Love the bike. This is exactly what I want to do. As far as the 11" windshield...how tall are you and does the wind hit you in the helmet or flow over your head? Thanks!
Great bike...nothing has the outright power of the vrod, but like my streetbob, so much more comfortable and practical.

Definitely not the power of a vrod but this is very comfortable.
What does a V Rod with pipes AC & a tune typically make on the dyno? 115 HP is what a local guy’s V rod made.
September of 19 when I bought my SG I did a stage 3 (bigger bore short stroke 114) with SE intake & TB, SE extreme heavy breather AC, S&S Streetmaster EPA compliant 2-1 and SE tuner to retain full warranty. (No out of pocket & 20 percent new bike discount) Used a 117ci stage 3 map to get enough fuel. It made 116/116 which kept low end torque but added more range & top end power compared to the stage 2 cams.

Hey great video !! I also have a sport glide with the lucky daves 13" pull backs hey do you get any buzzing past like 65 mph my mirrors buzz/vibrate.
I do :-/ I'm thinking it's the aggressive 1 piece style bars. I think if I went with seperrate risers and bars, the vibration might be less or none at all.
@@MrVrod thanks for such a quick response 👍. I'm thinking the walls of these bars might be a bit to thin. I've seen moto barista talk about some risers that reduce vibration.

It's comfy for a few hours and then the stiff seat starts to hurt. Not as great as a touring bike but not as bad as a sportster

also does the memphis shade fairing come off just as easy as the stock ?
Yes same thing pretty much
I like the set up with the bars, prefer a larger quarter fairing and would add a rear touring pack 1 with a single seat. Probably wouldn't have the panniers on except for long trips and would definitely go for mids being 5'8.
I would've gotten the low rider s if I wasnt going to use the panniers often and wanted mid controls. At least this way you get a 114 and dual disk brake. All u gotta do is buy yourself some bags

I was an soa fan but back then is when I bought a vrod so the show didn't influence what bike I rode. Living in California for the last 5 years is what influenced this build.

It's called a "saddlemen step-up" seat

Did you have to change any of the cables or wiring? Looking at changing the bars on my 2018 sport glide in twisted cherry
Yes need longer brake and clutch cables
Mr VRod so all of the other wiring that ran through the bars were long enough?

I was happy just like you when I traded in my V-Rod with nothing wrong with it for a 2010 Fat Bob in 2010. I found out too late that I made the biggest mistake letting my V-Rod go. The Fat Bob was just a piece of unreliable junk. I started having problems starting it, sounded just like yours when I started it, just has trouble turning over. If it wasn’t in the shop, it was in some parking lot not starting leaving me stranded or anything n my garage just sitting. I ended up selling it in 2015 and haven’t touched a bike since. It ruined my riding experience.

Yes they are very easy to remove. It's a quick detach system.

Not a bad looking Harley as stock. Lose that tall windscreen, and the apes. Racing pipes on a hog...that's a good one. Now maybe 85 hp with the wind at your back. Just needs a tail bag with the cutout that fits over the seat and side cases for extended solo trips.

Have you ridden with a passenger yet? I would like to know how it would be with a passenger. I don't want to get into a touring model. This bike seems perfect.
Well my passenger is coming off a vrod so this is a huge upgrade for her lol. I'd say it's not as good as a touring but not as bad as a sportster.

@@fciscokid Haha for real! Nothing more than a few hundred miles. Just a long day ride. I was going to go to sturgis but had to cancel that trip. I wouldn't recommend this seat for comfort though. It seems more of a seat that someone who stunts Harleys would want. Sticks well to you but that stiff pad just never broke in how I thought it would.
Mr VRod that’s what I figured, I don’t do long distance riding anyway but thought I’d ask. I just wanted wifey to be comfortable when she does ride with me without having a touring bike for kicking it around the own. I may need two bikes lol. Thanks for the input, ride safe pal.

Nice bike man, but just looking at your pipes tells me you need to do a tune.
CA EPA laws don't allow Dyno tunes but the bike does have a screamin eagle tuner along with an auto tuner from Harley.

People call it "club style" nowadays just cause it has a fairing and black indicators.. That's not really club style.
You're forgetting handlbars, stage 1, seat, grips, levers, pegs. And I don't have black indicators, pay attention
