Jimmy Page is THE only guitar player to truly make me go back in time to when I was in my early teens, roaming the streets at night, first girlfriend, naive… friends, friends that turned to enemies, only responsibility was school, being in a band, the lights at night, finding somewhere nice to sit and roll a cigarette, feeling like I had the world at my feet.

Van Halen were about 10 years too late in being able to play music this Psychedelic! Then again Jimmy Page pretty much opened and closed the book on music like this (just by bringing out the bow)! I mean how creative can you get? Not to mention how dark of a background he really had!!

I would say that the guitar, in Jimmy's hands, was not a musical instrument, it was a translator of emotions. What he felt, what he wanted to convey to people... Jimmy had a very special relationship with the guitar. He said “is my wife, my lover“ (referring to the guitar) I think this is wonderful!

Instruments from 00:00-01:06 are from the 29th. Vocals are from the 27th over the music from the 29th. 01:06 onwards they keep the vocals from the 27th and use the music from the 27th as it was played that night. Beautiful edit but it's not how it was played that night. I actually like the San Francisco intro they played on the 27th. Don't know why they didnt keep it.
