- This year Porsche celebrates its 70th anniversary since its very first sports car was built back in 1948 (the Porsche 356). Of course during the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed large space has been given to host the most iconic Porsche's race and sports cars ever made.

When I went to Road Atlanta in October to see this car in a race, it had the 911 GT1 livery on it. It was almost as gorgeous as the 🐷

to anyone that reads this, ....i just realized how lucky we are to be alive to witness this era of racing, in particular 1970 to lets say 2010, my fave being 80's 911's . that mashed up internal noise on downshifts especially. I would just like to officially thank my mom and dad for placing me during the best era in history. , its all pretty much downhill from here, with electronic crap. love u and miss u mom and dad , thanks

I think it was the 991.2 RSR and one of the Rothmans cars, can't remember if it was the 956 or 962.
Really want to know how it sound like for the LMP2000, because it's sourced from V10 engine derived from F1 (3.5l) but enlarged until 5.5l for the reliability purpose (endurance racing). At the end of the day, the engine was appeared in Porsche CGT as you see it for today.
If it did live, the R8 would’ve have a tough competition.
Really hoping they bring the LMP car at the beginning of the vid, this year and actually run it up the hill!

Im pretty certain Porsche insists on our engine note under power and backing off and the waste gate must chatter at this frequency. Porsche sports cars have a specific sound that is theirs, a real character. Ive never loved shrieking engines, Porsche always sounds gorgeous

Fantastic Goodwood video Bozzy, best one yet by a long way! Remember seeing this live on the Sunday, highlights by far were the 917's, mobey dick, the GT1's, that bizzare yet cool looking 959 and of course the screaming pink pig 911 :p, easily the highlight of my motorsport year! Grazie Bozzy! :)
Grazie to you my friend! I was stunned last year with the Ferrari's 70th, too many iconic cars and legends, and I was 101% sure that the Porsche's 70% wouldn't have disappointed. Just a little shame they left that 9R3/LMP2000 just on static display :'( So curious to hear how that V10 sounds like...

I like how only the newest cars are pushed hard (except for the colourful old 911) It's like they are still young and have to prove themselves, while the old ones are just chillin'.
Dávid Kertész at Le Mans Classic this year all these old cars were pushed very hard, was amazing to see.

Porsche was founded in 1931 ... so the Porsche company is 83 years old
Porsche's very first car was made in 1938, the Porsche 64, 80 years ago
Porsche's first "Sports Car" was actually made in 1947, the 356, 71 years ago
and the first customer 'Registered" Porsche was a 356 on the 15th June 1948, the magic 70 years ago.
So how old is the Porsche car company this year? , it's certainly not .... 70 years old

The red 935 at 15:10 number 70 is owned by Adam Carolla.......previously owned by Paul Neuman...Adam paid 4.4 million for it. I have seen it in person at a car show in San Marino Ca

Look Lambo Aston Mercedes. At least they try to do something diffrent and Lambo does that actually :/ Whatever it is good brand and ı love it still..

I wish they would still look the same like in the older days. Nowadays a 911 has nothing to do anymore with a small sportscar. It's grown huge, almost obese imo, and the rear end looks more and more like a Panamera. Especially with that hideous wing. The back end used to go down from the roof to the exhausts. I love that. Nowadays I only like the gt models when it comes to looks and sound
