Also Footman card reads: "Two Footman units may be deployed at a time." - text in colored bar on bottom of footman's card I think it means you can have two of them on board at a time and not 3 or 4 And last thing, and this one is based solely on me potentially misunderstanding what you mean, so I am sorry if presume incorrectly, but: Mercenary reads: "After you recruit a Mercenary..." Recruit being key word describing action of discarding coin face down to acquire one coin of chosen unit That means you can use Mercenary's tactic 3x per game - each time you discard coin face down to acquire new mercenary coin, presuming you have mercenary unit on board Once again, sorry if I am presuming incorrectly, but from your explanation of mercenary it sounded like you can use it's ability only once per game
Yeah your right on the footman, I looked it up on board game geek and the designer said you can’t deploy 2 at a time, but that you can have 2 deployed at a time. And not 3 or 4. This the second time, that the rulebook wasn’t clearly written enough on abilities. AEG rulebooks are usually precise, this one wasn’t. Also yeah I looked at mercenary wrong. I got deploy mixed up with recruit. I thought that once deployed it would get to maneuver, but it is apparently when you recruit a mercenary coin, if you have a mercenary unit then it gets to maneuver, so it can happen at least 2 times. Once again I blame the rulebook, it has almost no precise information on unit abilities. And no examples. The rulebook says it’s a easy game, so they figure we should be able to understand how unit abilities work without giving us precise information, was a wrong idea.
I think you explain Berserker's ability incorrectly, at least as I understand rules of the game Card reads: "..you may maneuver it again by DISCARDING a bolstered coin..." Word "discard" throughout rulebook is used to describe actions, or in connection with actions, that put coins in your discard pile from which you refill your bag. Therefore, I don't think this coins would be removed from game as you describe it Although this ability is powerful in right circumstances it is balanced by fact you need to spend actions to bolster this unit first Thank you for your video
Yeah I looked it up, the designer said that the coins are just discarded face up, so apparently they aren’t removed from the game. (Making berserker overpowered)
