I really like Amouage. I lived in Oman during my early teen years in late 1970s, and I should say Sultan Qaboos was a gem of a person. Amouage represents so much of the exotic spirit of Oman. I'm so glad that this fragrance house is now a universally recognized and respected entity. Also I should say (those days) many Omani men would carry a sheathed dagger with the exact same handle shape as the caps on Amouage fragrances. The Sultan carried one in 24 karat gold.

MEMOIR is my absolute favourite, what a gorgeous, sublime scent!
I bought EPIC with huge reservations, it has blown my socks off (my best blind buy ever).
I have a 5ml sample of Epic coming in the mail along with Black Iris. Excited to try
As it turns out I didn't like any of the most popular Amouage fragrances like Epic, Reflection, Jubilation, Interlude, Honour but I liked Dia, Beloved, Portrayal, Imitation and I loved Journey, Lyric, Myths

After having sampled 7 different fragrances from this house I decided to buy my first bottle yesterday. I went with Memoir man. I've watched a bunch of people rank the house on youtube and not one gave Memoir man the #1 spot. Then I watched this today and found 1 person with the same opinion. And that was you! Cheers to good taste.

Superb House. I own the Entire men's line. Others worth checking out are Sunshine, Beloved, Fate, Figment, Journey, Portrayal, Bracken & especially Imitation. Some are a bit polarising, but personally I love them all (even Honour).

Reflection Man is amazing! even I think your reaction was quite normal haha (this is the most hyped in the community) Amoauge is really a high quality niche brand.I have many of them. I specially love one called "Sunshine" it's kind of fresh but at the same time boozy, lightly fougere and sweet, lovely combo.. I also enjoy Beloved, Bracken and Fate

It's my absolute favourite house. My favourite fragrance ever is Jubilation XXV, but it's also one that you can't wear often.
My second favourite of the house is Beach Hut Man, very underrated for what it does, in a very wearable attitude!
I also like reflection very much, and white florals get beastly on my skin (almost 10hrs smelling it from myself), but it's mostly a spring time for me!

I am an amouage fanatic & own pretty much every for man frag they made and sometimes living in texas it is hard to find when and where to wear them. That being said when i do wear them i am guaranteed to stand out from the blu and sauvage crowd. Great list and i would add if you go to fragrantica there are many many more notes on overture is a symphony of notes (pun intended). Also as far as lyric goes i own both the male and female versions and i must say i think amouage played a little trick on the public as the lyric man is more feminine and the lyric woman is more masculine. Great to wear tomorrow for valentines day tho :) also as a frag snob like me clemence you have to try sunshine man (masterfull) silver man imitation man and bracken man (especially if you like fougere) also the discontinued ciel man is a trip ..gorgeous peach with the most beautiful olibanum. Like a refreshing storm on a sunny day! I love hearing your back stories on the houses .. what better way to get to know the fragrence you are wearing than by understanding the history? I am worried about the future of amouage now that christopher chong is gone though😟

Very interesting house indeed and great video as usual Clémence. My favorite of this house remains “Journey Man” with its main top notes of Sichuan Pepper, Juniper Berries and Bergamot and very unique and pleasing base notes of Tobacco (15%), Incense (13%), Leather (9%), Cypriol Oil (8%), Tonka Beans (5%) and Musk (4%). I also adore its amazing longevity and not to loud sillage (just above average) which keeps people asking for where the scent is coming.

I wanted to like Interlude Man so badly when I first sampled it, but I just couldn’t get past how strong the oregano was in it. It came across very savory like Italian food. Recently smelled Black Iris and I love it. The addition of sweet and powdery orris really adds balance to the fragrance, making the oregano a more tolerable portion of the overall composition. It now seems to share the spotlight with the orris. I’m going to buy it.

I’m all about that Figment Man, that wet soil is way underrated... I love it, it was my first and favorite Amouage...
I sort of understand the opening more and more but the perfume goes linear and one way looking sadly. I wish there was something extra added....a hint of long lasting citruses or fruitiness? Something contrasting that petrichor smell...I have a bottle from 2017.
Beach hut man is just WOW.. smells exotic and last forever

You nailed this house overview Clemence. I agree with a lot of your sentiments about these particular fragrances. Epic man is one of my favorite fragrances of all time. What I love most about the house is how transportive their fragrances are. You close your eyes and smell one of their fragrances and you’re somewhere else on a journey. So beautiful.

My favourite for winter is Journey man. I got is as a gift and was wearing for last autumn and winter and oh man. Sichuan pepper, cardamom, incense, leather, tobacco, musk and juniper berries. Amazing one. Definitely my signature for winter season.
Excellent video! One of my favourite things about it is the pictures matching the components in the fragrances. I think it makes it much easier to imagine the smell for some reason.

Amouage is difficult. Don‘t blind buy. Made bad experiences and good experiences with Amouage. I do not recommend Myth, Honour Man, imitation Man. Epic Man is strong and not every man‘s thing. It is definitely not a complements getter. Lyric Man is also special. A bit on the female side, bright, long lasting rose. For beginners not recommended unless you want to go nose blind fast. Buy a sample kit. There are two different ones available for Men. They are a bit pricey but could save you some money. Overall Amouage frags are quality fragrances. Just my two cents

Lyric man is one of my favs flower scents of all time. It smells deeply red rose and full of refreshing qualities at some point it oozes the luxurious vibe of high quality shampoo. For sporty, thoughtful men it is Lyric full of poetic words delivered through its wafts.
Terrific video! Amouage is a gorgeous house. All my Amouage purchases have been blind buys and I don't regret any of them. My favorite is Bracken Man. Memoir Man second.

Haven't tried gold or fate man yet but I have tried Dia and it is one of my favorites as well.

Dia is superb and as elegant as Gold but I like that fruity sweetness more than florals in Gold which reminds me of a hand cream..right? Fate was too much cumin but by far the best looking bottle.
I really enjoyed this take on a brand I don't know much about it and I Owen 200+ fragrances....🤦🏻♂️ The journey Continues.

I love Beach Hut Man and also Reflection Man and Jubilation 25...also Memoire man which I find quite dark and mysterious. I do not like Lyric Man....so I agree with you. Never smelled Epic and Overture... Nice video... Thank you!

Well done - a commendation. Some, but sadly, only a few actually SHOW what the notes are in the presentation. I like the aspect of '' the trail '' that is left behind. It is much easier for one to SEE the fragrance. As in in what is that smell found in. Well done. Yes Amouage - I have at present 9 of their fragrances. Good value for money and they have a solid, DIVERSE selection of smells.

As I have BOTH fragrances - Epic and Memoir man. For me the Epic man is LOUDER, the memoir man is weaker in actually SMELLING it. Memoir I guess has to have a '' more application '' for it to be smelt. Their is YES, a commonality with Epic and Memoir - as if they have grown up under '' the same roof ''.

The only full genuine bottle of niche perfume is Imitation Man by Amouage, and that was a gift. I think the Amouage bottle is the only design I can ever see myself paying for. I love Amouage! My first ever niche samples were Reflection and Interlude. I'm looking forward to adding the green of Epic to keep my Imitation bottle company. Then the orange of Overture, most probably 😁

Great descriptions! My favourite from the house is Figment Man (it's actually my SOTD). It surprisingly works even in the Cyprus heat despite the notes.
It is quite challenging, even more than Myths or Overture. It's very animalic, on the fecal side, but also foggy/dusky.
It's very natural. In the sense that it transports me to a nature setting.
It world be interesting to know your thoughts, if you've tried it.
I still need to try this one ! Indeed I found some of their scent challenging , but that's what makes it interesting ! Thanks for sharing Andy !
Figment reminds me a smell of petrichor. I started to understand the opening but sadly the perfume loses a few ingredients soon and becomes one sided...kind of boring and annoying at the same time.

A woman's view on this mens line... I have not seen on You tube. Say what you want but Amouage is never shy nor does it hold back in its concept. Many men seem to like Lyric woman better than the mens version.

Actually I’m a fan of oud fragrances in the heat. If it works in the Middle East, why not give it a try in Europe as well? Of course it depends on the fragrance and the type of Oud. But have you smelled Oud for Greatness blooming of warm skin? It’s gorgeous in the air, not only in winter.
I actually did yesterday, wearing Oud fragrance in the heat, it was nice and I got so many compliments 😂 so yes Tim let's do it !
